Having published our warning last week (see http://mindtimeshare.wordpress.com/2011/05/30/resort-servie-care-cold-calling-clc-members-pretending-to-be-clc-staff/) we started to receive many emails from concerned consumers, but not only from CLC! Resort Servie Care has now moved on to other consumer listings and they have now started to call other timeshare consumers and pretend they are staff from their home resorts.
If they started off pretending to be RCI http://www.gotimeshare.org/consumer-alerts/00984-resort-service-and-care-rsc they now switched their pitch on to the larger timeshare companies, pretending to be staff from the resorts and telling the owners they are entitled to a bonus-week for the reduced price ranging between £199 and £495.
If you receive a call from your home resort with this “amazing offer” and you are asked to pay by credit card on the spot…please be aware! Always check with your own resort and contact their usual customer services department phone number or email to see if this offer is genuine. Don’t pay any money upfront!
If the caller tells you to call back Resort Servie Care, look on this website www.resortserviecare.com or phone 0845 862 2365 or 966 814 084 then be even more alarmed!
THEY ARE NOT YOUR RESORT!
Please, let us know your experience with this company.

About mindtimeshare
Mindtimeshare is registered as a Spanish Consumer Association - reg number: G-98401524. Mindtimeshare provides assistance to timeshare owners and other consumers who have been defrauded by holiday clubs and bogus resale companies.
The Mindtimeshare project was launched in February 2011.
After dealing with timeshare consumers over several years who had been defrauded by numerous bogus companies and for large amounts of money, I considered launching a Consumer Organisation to help timeshare consumers that have been targeted by bogus companies. On this blog you can find information about the different active scam companies and their “modus operandi” and also place comments, ask questions and see comments from other consumers who have the same doubts or have been through the same experience.
Mindtimeshare has resulted in a huge success and has received the back up from not only timeshare consumers but also from the professionals in the timeshare Industry.
Mindtimeshare helps consumers who have been scammed by bogus Discount Holiday Clubs; bogus cash back companies; fraudulent timeshare resale companies; bogus class action companies and false lawyers and notaries. We offer professional answers and advice to consumers.

Yesterday it was confirmed i have recieved all monies refunded back onto my 2 credit cards with my claim under SECTION 75 of the CONSUMER CREDIT ACT 1974 against R.S.C. & ROYAL SLEEP COLLECTION all the same people. They are S*** as well as a S***. I wish good luck to everyone who gets their money back. It is not easy but must be patient. I think my luck was the proof I emailed them and had it not sent returned so i printed it off and sent on to C.cards.
I have good news for those who can make a claim from their Credit Card Company! We have just gone through the process and it has only taken a month based on the Consumer Credit Act Section 74. We quoted this:-
“House of Lords upholds decision on credit card cover for overseas purchases
149/07 31 October 2007″
“UK consumers will continue to be protected when purchasing goods overseas on their credit cards following a landmark ruling by the House of Lords today. The Lords confirmed that section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 applies to overseas as well as domestic transactions …………………….. It confirms that credit card issuers are individually and jointly liable with suppliers if a consumer has a valid claim against the supplier for misrepresentation or breach of contract. This applies to overseas purchases where the price is above £100 but no more than £30,000″. (Office of Fair Trading Press Release)
Having sent a letter to RSC in Alicante and having it returned unopened we wrote as follows:-
We understand that we can be re-imbursed by our Credit Card Company under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 as we have been sold a holiday as a result of ‘misrepresentation’ by a company called Resort Servie Care SL (RSC), which has finally proved to be a complete sc**. We are now also at the stage of ‘breach of contract’ as the company cannot be contacted and a recorded letter to cancel the contract (for a second time) has been returned unopened.
We sent our evidence which they accepted and we have just been promised a refund for the full amount.
This is thanks to the advice from Mindtimeshare!
I hope that we have learnt our lesson as we have also been taken in by ITRA and almost taken in this summer by RIOCC. That was when I started searching the internet and found Mindtimeshare. I am still amazed that the CC Company can be made liable for a refund! .
I feel so stupid! My dad was conned out of £500 but probably never realised and he passed away last year. They have been calling ever since to renew this deal, I thought I should go for it, just to stop them from calling. I trusted it because I never imagined they could have duped my dad! Now 3 months later they call and ask to renew again and asking for another £200! I had a feeling it was dodgy but I feel so stupid for not doing anything about it earlier. The last payment to them was in January when i renewed it – is it too late now?
payment wa just by telephone and they even sent me a receipt but no flights or hotel or anything!!!!!
Looks like I my wife was conned by RSC last week, using the cover of outstanding bonus break weeks. Paid £199 for 5 year extension on outstanding weeks plus free return flights!!!! Any information you can supply would be appreciated. Cheers, Tony
Hi Tony. I too was conned the same way but thy took two payments out of my bank account. I sent all the info i had to Santander. Alas thy did not get my cash back. I did read some were that one of the other banks did retrive money money. Thinking about it, i think it was on here.
Best of luck Chris
A similar story to everyone else on this sad, sad saga: contacted by a Jason Bradley, who linked my name to an RCI account which we closed over ten years ago. Again the offer, of 2 weeks free holiday in a five star resort with flights for up to 6 people, spread over 5 years if necessary, seemed just too good to be true (why are we all suckers when we know this?! – maybe we’re just desperate to get away from miserable Britain at this time of year…).
Then, nothing. Nada, though at the time I didn’t know they were ‘based’ in Spain (yes, they have an address: Resort Care Europe, Carrer cera del montgo, La Nucia, Alicante, Spain 03530, though I haven’t tested it).
I decided to contact RCI, which was one of the few bits of information about them which I had managed to hang on to from the telephone conversation, by email. They replied within 24 hours that there was no such scheme nor any such person offering holidays of this sort from their organisation.
I immediately rang up my credit card company to block the payment (that niggling feeling in the back of the mind which suddenly calls you back into the real world – of not getting anything for nothing). She, for it was a she, requested a letter, outlining what had happened and supplying as much information as possible. This I did, but the postal service took its time and two days ago my credit card was debited.
I’ve just learnt this from RCE themselves. A lady called Amy, who couldn’t speak Spanish because she had to spell out their address, but was apparently located in Alicante, rang me to confirm that I would be receiving details of the original offer and that they had been delayed by a postal problem (???) and that the telephone number that I had been given by Jason had been changed (errr… to 0845 862 1484 “the person from extension 1000 is unavailable”, if you try it…).
Then I found your blog. Oh dear! Why didn’t I look for something like this before?
Back to the credit card company with another phone call, who said that the letter had not yet been processed but that they would reply within two weeks. Interestingly, the only ‘real moment’ of this entire experience, ‘she’ remembered my call from the previous occasion, which, given her daily diet of calls from customers, is a miracle of memorisation.
I await a full refund and in the meantime thank you for posting this blog, which confirms all our niggling feelings of being hoodwinked into releasing our credit card details. Let us learn from our naïvity!
I too was scammed by RSC but got my money back from my credit card company (Tesco) with just one letter, so I would advise anyone not to waste their time and effort with trying to get anything back from RSC who seem to have gone to ground, and try your credit card co. without delay. I just laid out the facts as they happened and bingo! Tesco did say they may take it back at a later date, following their investigations, but I hope their findings are the same as mine and everyone else on this blog.
So glad you got your money back.
I too, contacted the Visa card office, and received instructions to send all paper work, emails etc plus full details of what had occurred. This was about three weeks ago. Yesterday I rang to ask if they had received the information from me as there had been no acknowledgement of receipt. After checking all the details, I was told that the money had been retrieved from RSC’s bank and paid back into my account on the 17th of April..JUBILATION. I am £398.67 richer again. Advice to everyone:-collect everything that is proof of your dealings and send immediately to your bank or debit card organisation, so they can reclaim for you..
Tania.
Hi Tania,
Great news, thanks for letting us know!
Congratulations and well done!
Kind regards
Customer Care
I have credit on my barclaycard but not completly settled yet when I phoned them as they have to wait 60 days for RSC ( Royal Sleep Colection) to reply. Hopefuly I will be lucky as well soon. Sue d
I too have had a call from rsc saying i had wks hols standing for years and they offered me up to 5 wks at 199 each so i accepted two wks and gave them 398 pounds to take from my credit card
I was promised free flights from my local airport, this was done on 18th april
I was contacted by a linda johnson who passed me to her manager clair renolds i said it sounded
too good to be true but was assured i had a cooling off period to cancel i am going tophone them and my bank credit card .Is there adress to contact as i havent had time to recieve anything yet.

Audrey
I have also been got by this scam. They offered me free flights , my hotel was paid for by my hiliday club. The person i spoke too was Dawn Croft who passed me on to Claire Reynolds. They said they were with Extra time on line but after contacting them they didn’t have anyone of that name working for them. I made another phone call only to be told they were Resort Servie Care and i had to e mail them to cancel or write to Michael Ryan at Resort Servie Care.SL 88-90 Hatton Garden London. I have now had my bill in for 3 times the amount they said it would cost. Hopefully i will be able to get this back. Normally i use my debit card and i’m so pleased i used my credit card this time. This scam has been going on for years and no one seems to be able to stop them.
I have also been conned by RS&C for £401.61 on 7/12/11 and £298.05 25/2/11. One was myself the other my wife. Unfortunately, these were paid by Visa Debit and each transaction is over 120 days old. On neither occasion did we complete any paperwork. On the most recent occasion we did not receive any paperwork at all!
I would be grateful for any advice as to any course of action I might take to recover funds.
my name Chris. I too had a telephone call from resort servie. IE 6 flights for £199-00 I to thought this was a bargin. So i went ahead with the deal. With in the next week, i had a fire in my house. So i rang R S C and informed them about the fire and asked to cancel my contract. The lady on the phone, said best to email a Mr Ryne. (This i did but did not get a answer for two weeks. ) I waited two days and then thought I have been scaned. So i got in touch with my bank to recalim (Santander) my money. My bank informed me R S C had stopped two lots of money £199-00 each. This i had not agree too. Many telephone calls to my bank only ended up with them saying thy could not claim my money back. So now i am down £400 and nothing to show for it.
One thing i can not understand, is why the Spanish Goverment allows these people to get any with it,
Hope somebody can help me get my cash back
The same thing as happend to me as to most of the people above
I have received several calls from the company who call themselves resort services care travel replacing bonus weeks I have been on these hols previous like the others sucked in which is very unlike me as I am normally 10 steps ahead I spoke to an agent on the phone 3 wks previous where I was unconvinced a senior manager called Claire Reynolds gave me the speel also a direct number to contact her like a fool I agreed £197.00 I waited 1 week for confirmation to arrive alarm bells starting ringing when I could not get answer myself and husband left many messages I contacted the bank informing of my stupidity I keep a daily check on my bank account I am so annoyed that I fell for this scam I would gladly search out these paracites, I recieved a phone call tonight from the same company where the rep’s name was Gary I asked if I could speak with a floor manager where a female claiming to be manager Julie Richards when I said I thought manager was Claire Reynolds SHE INFORMED ME SHE WAS ON OTHER SHIFT ALTHOUGH THEY SOUNDED the same person I informed I was suspicious and had been in touch with my bank she quickly hung up. I wish i had seen this sight earlier I believe we should all contact Dominic Littlewood? off the TV programme scams and hunt down these villains.
I too have been scammed by these people and feel such a fool as I am usually quite savvy about these things. They never sent me any paperwork and are trying to say because I bought it over the phone I am not eligible for a refund. Have sent the details to my credit card company but would welcome your information pack. Many thanks.
Hi all,
My elderly parents have had the same scam. £199 taken out of the account. Such a bad company taking advantage of old people. No response from my emails to the company and the website doesn’t work. What a shame.
We have been phoned today by RSC… They offered to give us 3 weeks holiday worldwide and 6 flights over the next 5 years all for ony £199.00 !! Remember if it sounds too good to be true it IS too good to be true. We were involved with the Gift Co. years ago and they have obviously got our names from their list. We have been fighting these type of Companies for some years. It is important that everyone tells all their friends and also when on holiday WARN EVERYONE YOU MEET about RCS. When the demand dries up they will stop! (We hope)
got a phone call off RSC when we asked about our holiday and they said someone will ring back no phone call but kept the number0034966814084 will be ringing monday for some answers
cheers

Jim

hi im hayley in 2008 i purchased 2wks holiday and 1free wk with bonus weeks ,my family never managed to take these wks holidays because they were never available when i need them and they then exspired. Dec 2011 until now i have had numerous calls from different companies saying they have taken over bonus weeks, one company was rsc resort sevice care. Rcs said they were a travel agent not selling timeshares and for 197 pound i would recieve 4 returns flights to and from europe and keep my 3wks in a 4star hotel for another 5 years . being suspious i questioned them and told them about my worries and the manager stated she understood my concerns but they are covered by abta and there was a cooling process if i didnt want to go ahead with the holiday. After read about rsc on my laptop i will not be giving details to this company as im expecting another call from rsc tommorrow
Could you please send me the details of how to try and get a refund – my parents paid over £1000 via visa credit card and I do know the credit card company have equal liability under section 75 of the consumer credit act as I used to be a debt adviser for the citizens advice bureau but I am sure they would require us to TRY and obtain a refund from RSC first.
Have RSC sent your parents any paperwork, as stated in phone call? Do they answer the ‘phone number as given on the web site or return a call if you leave a message? Have they answered any e-mails? If you’ve tried all that, theres not much more you can do. They have not even provided the basic service, as agreed.
Barclaycard (Goldfish) have dealt with this matter quickly and professionally for me. They were very helpful from the start. Money refunded and they are pursuing Resort Servie Care on my behalf. Can’t praise them enough.
I too fell for this scam on Friday the 2nd February, Fortunately I contacted my agency when I did not get an e-mail reply from RSC. I was told that there was no record of any contact and no booking made in my name. I was adviced to contact my Credit Card company straight away which I did. The Credit Card Company was very helpful and now I am leaving it with them to solve the legal problems. On the 16th February I received a very convincing official letter from RSC which, (if I hadn’t been in contact with my Credit Card Company as well as my Resort agent) I would have taken as a genuine comfirmation of my holiday booking. I do hope you will be able to put an end to their Scam tarding.
Evelyn Benett
Patricia, I have no idea about Worldwide travel at the same address. We had an acknowledgement from RSC – pasted below
Dear Mr Johnson,
Thank you for your correspondence.I hereby confirm receipt of your email and that it has been forwarded to the Customer Services Manager, Mr Michael Ryan, for his attention. Mr Ryan kindly asks you to allow 7-10 working days for a response.

Resort Servie Care
My family member is now writing to them to confirm the email request and we await developments and the actions of the credit card company who have been informed. It would be good to know how effective they can be in helping the recovery. I am trying to sound hopeful on my family (an 80 year old!) member’s behalf.
Yet another person to add to the list of people who have been scammed by this company. They actually called us about 9 February and said they had reserved hotel accommodation in September and that we would have this confirmed by RCI. No such confirmation but we have received a letter from Resort Servie Care asking us to sign a form. Like a lot of people, too late, I decided to look on line for information about this company. Would appreciate any comments.
I should have also mentioned that not surprisingly there was no one answering 0845 862 2365 today. I asked for a call back. Cant quite decide what to say if they do!
Dear Steve Johnson
My name is Patricia Rose, I too tried to phone 0845 862 2365 without any success. I noticed on the letter that was sent to me there is an address of 88- 90 Hatton Garden. Do you know if there is any association with the company World Wide Travel also situated at the same address but a different phone number. Any comment.
a ‘senior’ family member has been taken in by RSC and paid 2 x 199.25 on 10/02.We were sent the details as they cant take the holiday… we could in their place. Having now got the tatty letters and credit card slips I quickly checked that this whole scheme isnt at all legit. Credit card number is now being contacted to see what they can do. I will advise a recorded letter to cancel the deal within the ?14 day period. Has anyone had any success with doing so. This is big hit to swallow for anyone. Are the press involved yet to smoke out these crooks I wonder?
Hi
Barclaycard (Goldfish) have dealt with this matter quickly and professionally for me. Money refunded and they are pursuing Resort Servie Care on my behalf. Can’t praise them enough. It is such a relief.

From Eric Whittaker
RSC phoned me last November 30th (2011) stating that they were taking over from Bonus week breaks and as our weeks had expired they were offering holidays with flights for £199. I asked where they were phoning from and was told “an industrial estate in the north east of England”. If I had known that they were phoning from Spain I would not have touched them. We were also told about the cooling off period. They immediately took £398.50 as “Royal Sleep Collection” from my visa card. I heard nothing for months. I tried several phone numbers which I picked up as Royal Sleep Collection from the web, but to no avail. I finally found an address and wrote to them demanding a refund and this morning(16th February 2012) received a letter saying – under the Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading – Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulation 2000) I was not entitled to one and that the £398.50 was because there were two of us and was for accommodation only. The authorization to sign was enclosed. We were obviously told a pack of lies but should never have been conned. As the money was taken from my visa account at the end of November I am afraid that we will not be able to claim anything back. I would be grateful for any advice that you can offer. I only wish that there was some way of putting these crooks out of business.
Regards
Eric
I too have fallen for the con by Resort Servie Care having foolishly believed I would get 2 separate weeks acccomodation, including flights, transfers and all inclusive. All for the cost of £199 per week. The payment has left my credit card but I have not received any receipt or any other information through the post as promised. We have had contact by the same company since offering to upgrade our “Gift Company” weeks as was the original approach. We have used the Gift Company in the past and satisfactorily. Each time I said that we had already been upgraded and were still waiting for the paper work but they seem very confused even when I quoted the “Manager’s” name – Sam Thompson – who had processed the 2 weeks upgrade on the 3rd January. By then I was pretty sure that my suspicions that it was a scam was definite. Suspicions finally confirmed a couple of days ago when we were contacted by the Gift Company who were told we had upgraded etc only for them to inform us that RSC are a fraudulent company. Hence the reason I found this website. If there is any information you could send me to guide me on how to proceed I would be very grateful.
Regards, John
This company got me saying that my mum and dads timeshare weeks in the bank were about to expire, I paid£199 (as parents away on hols) have realised now, to late this is a scam….. Have cancelled cards and contacted police etc. Money has already left my account trying now to get a refund from my card compan. Is there anything else I can do??? Also they have sent me out confirmtion letter to be signed
Lindsey
1. Could you send me details of how one reclaims money foolishly paid over, please? I have the same tale to tell as all the others, however I paid with a Visa Connect card on Jan.3rd, 2012,-They tell me that I upgraded to VIP, (which was never mentioned). I thought I paid for revitalising european holidays previously paid for and not taken, plus paying extra for world wide flights, Quantas or Emirates, – and two european flights and hotels. -total taken £399, although I authorised £384 only. No glossy brochure received as promised. None of the things promised on the phone appear to be likely to eventuate?
2. Do I write to Visa Connect, and / or to Resort Servie Care to complain, cancel and get money back?
Tania.
It’s me again, rsc ‘phoned yesterday and today asking for another £199 for another ”2 week bonus week break” and when I questioned the rep about the £499 already paid to them she knew nothing about that and it was the fault of the admin department not telling her.
I suggested to her that it must be a very poor company if it had no communication between depts, to whicw I got the usual response, ”Phone our admin 0845 etc etc” which I did with the reply ” Our mail box is full” yawn yawn.
How is it possible to contact these people and would it be beneficial if I recorded future conversations.
Robert Wainwright.
Hi again, I have just had a ‘phone call from Resort Servie telling me that my time is running out and I must choose my holiday location very soon. Having looked at their directory it is so restricted in destinations as we were promised any Crown Resort anywhere in Europe so it seems very deficient.
I have been in contact with my credit card company but they say that Resort Servie haven’t done anything illegal until they fail to deliver what they promise, i.e.my holiday. Has anybody taken a holiday with the help of Resort Servie.
Please help me as I am about to lose £495.
p.s. Wayne May, their ‘phone number is 0845 862 2365
Robert.
Oh dear I am another sucker, I have been caught twice and paid by 2 differnt credit cards and have sent off using Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974for refund hoping I will recieve all my money back £597.19 2.12.11For a cruise Royal Sleep Collection and £579.41 14.Nov 2011to R.S.C. Alfaz Del PI ESP not knowing they are the same people. The phone number 0845 8262 2365 was not available from the 2nd July then a man giving an extention no.2457360 then message stating leave message then messages full. DEAD. I Managed to get through only once and spoke to Wendy Croft but have not managed since. EXCUSE, new lines being installed. Unfortunatly I signed those papers trying to Fax them but fiished posting. The second contract was emailed to me but i have not signed or sent them back as to get the cruise we would have to pay £ 30 each to register with the cruise company. After reading these reports I decided to stop and claim.
They did not use RCI but The gift Company weeks expiring and to not lose them to go with them. I contacted Gift Company who were shocked to hear and our weeks had not expired at all. From now on I Gingerly answering withheld calls ready to put the phone down you have to be carefull as the last 2 have been the Gas and Health centre.
I will let you know if I was successfull in my claim

Oh dear, i too have been conned in a similar manner to many of the aforgoing complainants , i was contacted by a cold call by someone claiming to represent RCI ,an organisation we are members of offering a cruise with all the necessary air flights ect.In hindsight i should have looked at this website but i did’nt and have subsequently been taken to the cleaners to the tune of £499
A previous encounter was with RESORT SERVIE CARE SL.who also conned me out of £398 so i’m feeling rather :hacked-off about this whole affair
I would appreciate any advice you can offer about the possibility of recuperating any of what i now consider as mispent money.
These companies should be wiped off the face of the earth, i too should not be so trusting in believing everything offered in these telephone scams.
Regards
has anyone got a phone number for them
Hi Guys we were contacted by this company last march they claimed to be part of rci and offered us two bonus weeks, because we were good customers, for £199 any ware in the world and we had 5 years in which to use them so of course we paid up and received the paperwork in due course and it was not untill tonight when they called again offering us flights for six people anywhare in the world for £498 that we became suspicious because it seemed to be too good to be true and a quick google serch found this website and alot of other people that have been taken in by this company. It would be good to know if it is still possible to get our money back after 10 months but I dought it. Lets hope these people get stopped soon words cannot express how angry I am to be taken In by this!
Andy
27 jan 2012 just been done by rsc they r saying they r extra time on line now hope they drop dead
Hi I too have been sc***** only last night. I had not used weeks from Bonus week breaks which were expiring, (How do they know this?) Paid extra £199.00 for 2 weeks including flights in Gran Canaria – They promised to email in 15 minutes with all details. Did not receive so got worried. Tried to phone 0845 etc same as everyone else, voice mail full!!! kept trying, also emailed – no joy. On checking my bank account they have taken £199.16 twice one transaction immediately followed by another!! Do you have an address where I can write to as although I shall contact VISA debit card, they will tell me that I have to write to them first cancelling and asking for a refund. I am supposed to have 30 days cooling off period, but why would they take money twice at the same time. Should have been going away in 4 weeks time – has anyone actually been given a holiday or is it all a rip off. There website looks genuine although no one has replied to my emails. Really wooried & upset, hope I can get my money back. ReneC.
Me too – Paid £597.95 for a cruise using Bonus Weeks which I had. The call was from Resort Servie Care 0845 862 2365. This was on 5 December 2011 – after one month of not receiving anything from them I started to contact them by phone, daily. There is a message service but the recipients message box is full – I have today contacted my Credit Card Company and they are to send me a form to fill in and return. I hope this means that I will get my money back. Any help from you would be appreciated.
i got a phone call this month from a girl called becky rhodes from rsc and offered us an all inclusive cruise and flight and i paid her £500 on my credit card. i didn,t get any letter,s from her so i phoned and was assured that it was in the system and she would send me detail,s by e-mail which i printed off with the letter that i had to sign and return to her (i haven,t) when i looked on there web site i found out that it was a scam, what do i do now as they have my credit card number and wish to cancel it
Oh dear! I’ve been taken in. Not like me, but under the weather and need a holiday in the sun. Very nice lady rang on 9.1.12 with the usual patter. Offered bonus weeks, one with flights for two people. This went up to four flights when I said we usually travel in a party of four. Week abroad with 4 flights for £199 – what was I thinking!?! The money (£197.76) has been taken from my credit card, but no paperwork has arrived. Got suspicious and googled. Others beware!
We have had a similar experience with Resort Servie Care and paid £195.89 for 3 return flights to Tenerife as we told them we didn’t need accommodation. Despite numerous phone calls we have received nothing from them and no email confirmation as originally promised. They just say they will get someone to get back to us but never do. The money was taken from our account under the name The Royal Sleep Co. Any help you can provide with this matter would be gratefully received.
I just had a phone from this Resort Servie Care telling me of all the wonderful things they were going to give me all for £199. Told them i had researched their telephone number with feedback of scams. They seemed to of ignored my comments and still carried on giving me their rehearsed speech. I said once again to them that it was a scam and they hung up on me. HOW RUDE. It seems they don’t like to be confronted with the truth. Save your money people. Holidays to anywhere in the world for four people don’t cost £199.
I was contacted on 04.01.12 by Hope telling me that as I had 5 weeks ‘banked’ from way back & hadn’t used them she could offer me a 2 weeks holiday (room only) for 2 people in Europe, Mexico, Bali etc, + flights & an 82% discount on food. I asked about a hotel in Cala Millor & she said they could do the hotel Ferrari 5* she said, but I can’t find such a hotel on the internet. Also, she told me she had been working in Spain for this company for 29 yrs, was fluent in Spanish but she couldn’t spell Cala Millor having to speak to her colleague about it! I began to get suspicious. As I am coming up to a big birthday later this year & hoping to go away with 2 of my girlfriends I was also offered another 2 week holiday for 3 people + flights in Sharm el Sheik (no food again) at the hotel Hilton, all for £398. By this time I was speaking to Julie who told me they were based in Gateshead & a contact tel no of 0845 8622365 was quoted. I’ve rung this number & an answer machine is on. I haven’t confirmed anything with them, they are phoning me back this evening to do the deal, but in the meantime, I have found your web site, so needless to say, I won’t be taking it any further.
I’ve also been contacted by Julie over the last couple of nights trying to get me to give money to buy holiday. I received 2 emails giving details, one specifying payment of £399, the other £598, same holiday details. The big sell was on the mini cruise, apparently for the £598 we would get a cabin with balcony, flights for two people, 5* hotel in Orlando, all inclusive. It all seemd too good to be true, I was so thankful that I found this site and found out that it was before I parted with any money.
Having read all the above comments, I also think I have been taken in by this so called firm,
having agreed to pay £399.74 for two weeks accommodation in Europe , and told that they would find me reasonable flights, I have sent the form back to activate the accommodation, enabling me to receive the vouchers to make a booking, I have receipt of the payment. Could you kindly advise, Thank you
I too have been taken in by these people, using my Bonus Week Breaks timeshare weeks. I paid £199 for 2 European breaks and 2 worldwide breaks with flights included. I very foolishly signed the document for payment for that transaction. However I then received another letter one month later charging me £399 for 2 weeks accomodation in Europe. I have not signed the form, but have just checked my bank account to find that the money has gone out. Can I do anything to recoup at least the second amount? I had not had further dealings with the company and do not understand why a second transaction was made.
Dear Lesley,
Thanks for your comment.
That is very “naughty” of them to take money without your authorization!
Speak to your bank urgently and explain you have not signed for this and in the meantime we will send you more information by email on how to request a refund for your credit card payment.

Hi I have had the same call looked a good deal £199 for six people with 2 flights, they actually took £401.61 from my credit card, i have emailed them to cancel the contract as i am within the cooling off period.

Hi Sheila,
Thanks for your message.

A cold phone call this evening from Resort Service Customer Care informed my wife that we were owed 2 promotional weeks as we had apparently paid a deposit for a holiday 3 years ago and did not take up the offer. We were offered full return air fare for 2 weeks abroad or at a Raddison Hotel in the UK for a payment of £199.00. The caller said that the company is based in Durham, in Jackson St. We live near Durham! My wife closed the conversation and asked for the name and telephone number, and yes- it was 08458622365. I am delighted to find your information on line. Thank you.
Dear Ivan,
Thanks for your comment and glad you found the blog on time!

Hi My wife is also a victim of this RSC scam. They said that were situated in a unit on an industrial site in Durham. Rebecca said that she had 4 bonus weeks that were expiring and that they had been authorized to offer 4 weeks at any European resort for a further £199 including airfares. Then she passed the call to her colleague Sam Thompson who said that they were also able to alternatively offer 2 weeks hotel accomodation and flights worldwide for £398. My wife agreed to this offer and used her credit card. No letter confirming the transaction has arrived yet. The credit card bank say that £400.60 has been taken by Royal Sleep Co. in Spain. She has cancelled the card but we would appreciate any help you can give so that we can help stop this scam. The bank says we have to wait 30 days before contacting their dispute dept to initiate a claim.
Dear Arthur,
Thanks for your message.
We will send you more information on how to claim a refund.

Bad news about Royal Sleep Collection same company R.S.C. I had the same experience with paying twice with 2 diferent credit cards. Yesterday i recieved notice of all monies refunded to me from both credit cards which will be transfered from
credit card into my bank account. THEY ARE DEFINATELY SC** AS WELL AS SC**—Good Luck Be patient it does take a long time to win.
Hi , I am also a victim of this scam. I have contacted my credit card company who are going to try and help but would appreciate any advice you can give me, about getting my money back.
I have been sent some papers, asking me to sign, which I haven’t. I hope they can be stopped soon.
I have replied on here before about RSC. How are they getting away with this. Surely what they are doing is illegal. What can we do to stop them. I was also conned into a holiday I didn’t want. Luckily I got my money back from the bank.
File as many complaints with official authorities as you can!
Dear Sian,
Thanks for your message.
No, don’t sign the papers.
Let us send you the information first!

Hi Guys, add another ‘doh’ to the list – all seemed legitimate at the time – I’m usually very sceptical of any cold callers – must have caught me off-guard! Only had the call middle of last week but having not received any emails or paperwork yet I became suspicious so did an internet search – ended up here! Just hope I can get our money back!
Hi Ian,
Sorry to hear that you have paid these people.
No papers, nothing? That’s getting worse.
Let us email you the information throuhg and let’s see what we can do for you.

Guess I have to add my name to the ever increasing list of people who have fallen for this scam! The phonecall, in October, was reputedly claiming to be in conjunction with RCI. It wasn’t until I received the letter on Nov11th, and headed RSC, that I realised my mistake. I immediately sent an email asking for a refund and stating that what was on offer did not match up with that of the telephone conversation. I also contacted my Credit card provider and await the neccessary forms required to obtain a refund. I feel I should report the matter to you and ask if there is anthing else I need to do, especially if it contributes to the termination of this company. If I get a refund of £399 it will be an extra bonus!
I would also like to know how we can stop this compamy from conning people into buying holidays on the spot by cold calling them pretending to be from another company. There must be a way or somewhere we can report them to.
Dear Anthea,
Thanks for your message.
Really sorry to hear these people have taken your money pretending to be who they are not!
We will send you more information by email.

Same here .. no response from the ICO
I submitted a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act to RSC, and when they failed to respond I reported them to the ICO – I have never had a response.
My husband and I are Club Infiniti timeshare owners with Petchey Leisure. We had just returned from a holiday in one of their Portugal resorts when on 2nd November 2011 I received a telephone call from someone calling herself Joanne, in which she purported to be from Petchey Leisure, offering us 2 weeks holiday with air fares paid for only £49. I took up the offer and paid by credit card. She gave a reservations telephone number of 0845 862 2365.
On 4th November my husband checked our joint credit card account online and was horrified to see that on 2nd November a payment of £501.80 had gone to an organisation listed only as R.S.C. which neither of us had authorised. I remembered the telephone conversation of 02/11/2011 and said that it was only a £49 transaction. My husband ‘phoned Petchey Leisure who had no record of any such conversation or transaction. By searching online for the telephone number Joanne gave me, he tracked it down to Resort Servie & Care (http://www.resortserviecare.com) – R.S.C. – which, it transpires, has nothing to do with Petchey Leisure. Clearly RSC is a fraudulent organisation. We have had to cancel our credit card and will be doing our utmost to recover these funds. We have submitted an online cancellation and refund claim via RSCs online queries form (http://www.resortserviecare.com/contactus.htm) but cannot find a postal address to send our claim to. Can you help?
“We were done in a similar by RSC. There must be a way we can stop this compamy from cold calling people pretending they are from some other organisation. We did get our money back from our band even thought we paid by debit card. Has any one have any ideas of how we can stop this company from fradulently conning people out of their money.
Thanks for your comment Phil,
Glad you did get the money back,!

My husband too fell for this scam and foolishly gave them his credit card information. As he suffers from memory loss, I only found out when a letter arrived and a copy of the credit card transaction asking him to sign. When I checked his credit card statement, they had already taken out £199. I imediately wrote back demanding a refund. We also tried to ring them on 0845 862 2365 but it would not accept any messages as the message box was full. An E-mail to them was also not successful. We have been in contact with his credit card bank but they say we must get in touch with RSC Resort Servie first. What else can we do to retrieve this mony?
Dear Maria,
Thanks for your message.
One of the first things to do is sending a cancellation letter by recorded delivery.
We will send you more information by email.

Some of these letters are exactly what has happened to me. I told the Sleep Collection Group that there would only be 2 of us travelling, not 4,so they offered us an extra 2 weeks to be taken in any Gold Crown resort in Europe.
Why am I so thick, all these holidays with flights included? Hindsight is such a wonderful thing.
I am in touch with my Credit Card company and will keep you informed as to further developments.

Hi there, I too have been scamed by this company RSC Resort Servie. The reciept says it’s from The Royal Sleep Co. I was told to ring my bank by them to authorise the transaction, in the meantime I decided it was not a good idea & didn’t call them. This company took the money anyway. I have recieved a letter from them which I have to sign & date, I have not done it. I rang the bank who say they can’t help as I gave them my card details. Is there anything else I can do?
Hi Leah,
We will be sending you information by email and explain how to proceed.

Just like all the complaints above, my wife received a call from RSC giving her the impression they were from TeleText Holidays and asked how her last holiday went. When she said that she was not happy with the holiday, they offered her a holiday for £199 giving the impression it was in consideration for her having a bad experience. She had to pay straight away on the phone and my wife unfortunately paid by Debit Card. I immediately phone back and tried to cancel the holiday. They refuse and now I have payed £199 for a holiday I do not intend to take. Is there any sort of cooling off period and can I get my money back
Hi Phil,
Thanks for your comment.
With debit card the claim can be done as long as it is inside 120 days from when the financial transaction took place.
We are sending you the information by email.

Myself and my husband fell for this, with them leading you to believe they were affiliated to RCI. I phoned my Credit Card after calling RCl within fifteen minutes of giving them my card details. It had already been deducted from the card. The next day I did recieve a call from Resort Service Care Europe, and she said that she would refund my money…. I have to check my CC company again in a few days. Do you think my CC company will re-imburse me if RSC does not???? Are they a bogus company? Or do they actually offer people something for their money?? Thank you for your help with this matter.
Hi
Feel for the RCI line, can you please send the advice you have sent to others.
Regards
Noel
Certainly!
I too fell for the scam and sent a letter of concern to no avail.
We paid £300 for three weeks and two return flights and have heard nothing since. They used the RCI selling method of bonus weeks and having had a wonderful service from RCI in the past I fell right into thier hands. We would be most greatfull for any advice.
hope you can tell me what to do

I am yet another sucker reeled in by a cold call (June) from some-one called Julie who new a lot about our Time Share history, promised a fortnights holiday, which it would appear I was entitled too, for £199, which I sadly paid, Not wanting to go away until Nov, I recently tried to book a holiday to Tenerife, without any look, rather frustrating. Then I found your web site, wish I had found it in June, never mind. I don’t suppose for one minute there is the slightest chance of recovering any of the money. No-one likes to be scamed but I feel I have left it too late.

Thank you for your message.
I am sorry to read you paid this company money and now find difficulties for booking.
You must have seen that you are not the only one who fell for the offer of this company so don’t feel too bad about it.
And regarding a refund, well you can always give it a try, you won’t lose anything there!
We are emailing you information and we take it from there.

Have just read the comments about Resort Servie Care! only wish I had known about this company last weeek as we have also been conned!! They didnt use RCI (which we are members of) but Bonus week breaks who we have used in past. They took £199 for 4 weeks accommodation + free flights I said it sounded too good but they are very good and persuasive. Ater a week we received letter with offer of 2 weeks accommodation and no flights. Called credit card company who are investigating so hopefully we wil get a refund. We were offered a 2 week cooling off period but they do not reply to our E mails.

My mother was contacted by these charlatans purporting to be The Gift Company, we received the transaction receipt for €445.00 (£403.92) & a letter requesting us to sign & return the payment form. We cancelled the debit card within an hour of the call, but it seems that the transaction went through, do they need this form for final confirmation & will we get our money back if we do not return it?
Hi Peter,
Thanks for the message. Always better to NOT send the form back so at least they don’t have a signed authorization to take the money. If the bank doesn’t refund straight away you will have to claim.
We will send you the information by email.

Hi,
I’ve just read the comments above. My parents have just paid £199 for 2 weeks accommodation with Resort servie Care but there is no website to look up the resorts so it appears to be a scam. They paid on debit card and the money has gone straight away. They’ve been sent a form to sign and send back but after reading all the comments I’ve told them not to. Is there any UK authority to complain to and is there anyone who can help claim their money back?
Thanks
Laura
Hi ,
My mother and father have had the same experence as the above we have phoned the credit card company as the statment came with the ROYAL SLEEP COLLECTION and we could not tie up the transactions they have not signed the recipt and have not sent anything back do you think there money is safe ???and the credit card company are looking in to it, THIS COMPANY IS THAKING MONEY OF YOUNG AND OLD ALIKE THEY MUST BE STOPPED ,
DO we have to let RCI and OUR HOME RESORT KNOW ????
My parents have just shown me the letter & receipt they received from Resort Servie Care. They were were called on 28th May by a nice lady from a company representing RCI stating they still had 2 bonus weeks banked & if they paid the fee of £199 now this would garentee them for a further 3 years as these weeks were ready to expire. ( Mum & Dad gave up their time share 10 years ago as bonus weeks with RCI had become so expensive & Moness country Club was in trouble). Mum became suspicious when the letter asked them to sign letter & return before they would be sent the European Certificates.
This looks like a scam to me. The paper & print quality of the letter is poor, the receipt in euros & the Alicante address all ring alam bells.
I have advised Mum to call Visa this morning & let them know.
Is there anything else we can do?
Dear Annie,
Thanks for your comment. I appreciate you must be concerned about the fact this company has defrauded your parents. As you can see on this blog, this company is becoming very active and they are convincing the people with the false understanding to be staff of RCI or the homeresort of the timeshare owner. Of course if you would confront them with this they will say it is a confusion and your parents must have mis-understood. Best thing to do is call the bank, cancel the payment and don’t send back the signed receipt.

These people contacted us, claiming to be from Club Anfi. We got the £199 pitch, and went for it. As soon as we put the phone down, we started to have doubts so we contacted our bank and cancelled the cards – just not happy that these people had our card details.
I then emailed them pointing out that they are in breach of the Distance Selling Regulations as they do not provide full details before you buy, and I exercised my right to cancel under the cooling off regulations.
They replied, saying that accommodation bookings are exempt under the Regulations. I have replied, pointing out that this exemption only applies to accommodation, transport, catering or leisure services, which are arranged for a specific time or date eg, train, airline or concert tickets, or hotel bookings.
So far, they have not responded – I am reporting them to my bank today, and I strongly recommend everyone else does the same thing.
I was contacted last week 2nd June, by Sarah Brooking, she gave me all the blub about how they could give us 2 weeks free accomadation worldwide, because we were long standing customers of RCI. She then said she could make the offer even better by giving us an extra bonus of 6 return flights in Europe as well. These could be used by any family members. We discussed & decided to go for it, & I paid by bank card – visa debit. The money has been taken from my account. The paperwork arrived yesterday with the receipt of the cash transaction – in Euros, & they have asked me to sign the payment form & transaction receipt & return to an address in Spain. I telephoned them today & said I understood the whole thing was a scam & I wanted my money back, but they told me it wasnt, & I should contact the customer service manager at the spain address.
Hi Susan, Thanks for your comment on this blog and sharing your experience with us. Resort Servie Care needs to be stopped as they are taking a lot of money from consumers pretending to be calling from RCI or people’s home resorts. And now they are also selling flights? There is nothing on their website that indicates they have licenses’ in place to act like a travel agent.
My advice: don’t sign the receipt for the payment. I will be emailing you with further information.
