The lawyer’s office of Cortez Mendoza in Spain is cold calling Dutch Timeshare consumers in order to offer them help with the claim of money that is supposedly waiting in a Spanish bank account after a court case against ILG / DWVC.

The story told is that Mr. Cortez Mendoza has been appointed by the Spanish government in order to help consumers who have been duped by DWVC.

The website of this legal consultancy www.cortezmendoza.com was registered in August this year, which gives to think as they claim they have been in business since 1990 doing all kinds of claims. So all this time without a website?

The website is in English, but the person calling to the Dutch consumers is a Dutch speaking person called Evertjan Verbeek and his contact number is a Spanish mobile 0034 608203310

This is actually the only contact number there is for this office, as on the website there is no address and no numbers!

But there is a mention that Mr. Cortez Mendoza will kindly do a home visit to the consumer and the first consultation is free. That sounds great!

A shame though that the Spanish government never ever would appoint lawyers like this to sort out official accounts and court cases, and less a lawyer who has actually no contact details at all and nobody knows where he is based.

Scam? Well it doesn’t sound very optimistic.

To top it off, we have to mention that it is actually illegal in Spain to offer legal services by phone, so another point that doesn’t add up in his favor.
