I am truly happy to inform all Mindtimeshare’s readers that the end of Club Class is getting near.
If everything goes according to plan early 2012, seven Club Class Companies (two listed in the UK and five in the Seychelles) will be closed down by the British Authorities.
Basically on September 28th of this year the Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS), made a petition to close down seven Club Class Companies “in the public’s interest” due to concerns about the trading methods of the companies indicated below.
Companies Investigation Branch argues that the companies listed in the Seychelles have sufficient links to the UK, and that they do in fact have jurisdiction to wind them up also, along with the British listed ones.
UK & Seychelles Club Class companies will have until the end of December 2011 to present evidences to defend their case though.
The proceedings are pending and an update on the cases will be provided next year.
Details of this wind up petitions have been published in The London Gazette this September 30th. http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/59925/notices/1449120

Just received a letter yesterday telling me that I owe these shy***** £440.00 for unpaid annual subscription almost 10 years after being ripped off for £5900.
The letter was followed up by a telephone call last night where I gave the caller a few expletives then hung up , he called right back demanding that I use less colourful language , unfortunately he got another mouthfull. If you are reading this Mr Phillip Hill in Gibraltar……UP YOURS!
Can i take ClubClass to court for not paying back my money of £5000-00+ after the 51 months were up, and use the sheriffs to issue a high court writ to help get my money back
Nothing has happened since their 14 day ultimatum at the start of October. I sent a letter in October , giving evidence that Clubclass were in breech of contract due to not fulfilling their obligatons ….no reply surprise , surprise .
However the email demands for unpaid membership fees have no started up again, under the name of Leisure Alliance. They must think we are idiots if they think we will pay money for an alleged debt to a wound company ! . Still i suppose they are basing their view on the fact we were stupid enough to sign a contract with them in the first place.
We are being continually harassed by Club Class once again for the unpaid membership since 2009. They are demanding the backpayment saying that our membership was never cancelled! We never used them to book any holidays and I feel they have had more than enough from us. The last phone call they said they would take legal action/debt collection to get their money back from us? can they actually do this? Annoyed that they feel they can subject us to these threats and also worried that more action will be taken against us!
Their original contract stated that the annual fee was not payable unless you booked a holiday for the year in which it would have been due. Therefore I am not taking any notice of these demands. These companies trade in Spain so it would be too costly for them to actually take proceedings in the UK against the apparently numerous people who haven’t been paying their fees! Pay more out to take legal advice if you think it will help, but I’m not.
Thanks Neil – I am just letting them leave continually messages on my ansaphone at the moment. Nothing further has happened as yet.
I still have a copy of the contract which says under terms and conditions (c) states
” membership is annually renewable subject to payment of a fee, which is currently £55 etc..” . If you don’t renew then your membership must clearly cease. I think that’s pretty black and white!
It also states membership under clause (d) Leisure Alliance is included free of charge.
So Leisure Alliance have no right to ask for money ! All in all they haven’t a leg to stand on.
Dear Ted,
Thanks for pointing this out.
We know that a lot of consumers are not aware of this clause.
There are different types of agreements as some bought through marketers and others bought directly off Club Class, but most of the agreements indeed have this clause and we also think this is more than clear.
Kind regards
Customer Care
hi has anyone got a copy of the terms and conditions as i am also be asked for money owed since 2007 can anyone help as i cant find my old paper work many thanks
Hi Dave,
It depends where and from who you purchased the membership as there are many “versions” of agreements. Why not turn around the question and ask them for a copy of your agreement where it states you have the obligation to pay? If they are asking for money they should be able to proof you have to pay it, no?
Good luck
Kind regards
Customer Care
Clubclass are also demanding £300 from us for unpaid yearly membership subscriptions. They rang up, and when i said I wouldnt pay or discuss the issue a ” Final Demand”" arrived in the post next day with a threat to use a Debt Collection Agency to get the money off us. Not sure if I should be worried about this.
see my comments above to Elizabeth. It’s useful to read your contract if you still have a copy so you can rest easily. There were never any cancellation penalty clauses.
Ref Club Class plc – no address on letter but Spanish telephone country code – My husband and I cancelled our subscription d/d in 2007. We keep getting phone calls and just received a letter threatening to hand over our £300 debt to effective intervention – their contracted debt recovery group.
jamie
yes we also just got the calls and letter and follow on calls. I have been advised all round its a continuity of the overall scam. Has anyone had any further action take by them to recover any of your money?
i also want to praise the excellent work here and that of timeshare.org who have all helped us greatly to unravell the mess these despicable people create.
thanks
jamie
Glad to hear something has been done about Club Class after my husband and I being victimns of this company in tune to over £2000

Pete
Is it just a coincidence that Club Class Concierge phoned yesterday threatening me with Debt Collectors for unpaid annual membership fees of £ 285 for the last 3 years ? This is the first time we have been told that we owed them money. No earlier phone calls or correspondence/invoices.
We have never used Club Class Concierge since joining in Jan 2008 and they now say we cannot cancel our membership even though we have never paid an annual fee. We received information from them 2 years ago stating that our membership had been suspended due to Non payment of our annual fee ( Hooray ) It seems we are an indefinite member of Club Class for life and have to pay £ 95 pounds per year whether we use them or not ? Are they attempting to raise some money before being closed down in February 2012 – Hopefully.
Hooray, Hooray!! At last someone is THINKING and doing the right thing. Let us hope the same thing will happen to Holiday Rentals Direct and all the other pseudonyms used by these ‘cold calling’ conmen. I just wish others had done what I did – search the web BEFORE giving a credit card number, but these people are very clever and manipulative, they sound so believeable and those of us who want to sell our timeshare are in a vulnerable position.
Good luck to you Mindtimeshare, may the force be with you!!!
Thanks Angela!
This is just BRILLIANT news and with hope in my heart the first of many yet to be brought down.
In true British fashion I will consider them innocent until proven guilty but having said that, I am entitled to my opinion. Which wall do we stand them in front of ?
Thanks Brian! Every now and then a bit of good news does us all well.
