Superior Resorts, cold calls for fly-buy holiday offer

A new fly-buy company Superior Resorts has been brought to our attention this week.

This company with website www.superior-resorts.com is cold calling timeshare consumers to offer them an attractive 2 weeks holidays for only £99

The website was registered at the beginning of January 2012, and apart from the resort selection there isn’t much information available on the web about this company.

There is no address, no email, only a phone number 08701 922 190

The worrying thing is that the consumers, who were called, claim actually that they were told that the offer was because they had paid a lot of maintenance fees in the past years? And this offer for £99 was to offset all the maintenance fees.. How does that work?

You might think by reading this article, well what is wrong here? And we do admit that the above is all we have. But seeing the lack of information, especially on who is behind this company, and where they are…well, we want to make sure that you are being cautious when taking up offers of this kind.
Paying £99 or more to somebody on the other end of a telephone line with no address and no other contact details as such, makes you think!

Have you been called by Superior Resorts from 08701922190 ?

Have you taken up the offer? We would like to know!

  1. Lorna says:

My mum has just fallen foul of this sc**. The “company” Superior Resorts convinced my mum to part with over £600 by claiming that it works with numerous cruise companies selling off cabins at a discounted rate because they have not been booked prior to sailing and because the ship is sailing anyway, this allows the company to sell off the vacant cabins at a discounted rate similar to hotel rooms. The female that my mum spoke with convinced my mum to hand over her credit card details claiming that a payment would not and could not be taken from her account without her written consent. Needless to say, the money has been debited from my mum’s account without her consent and she has no cruise and is now unable to contact this company.

Please be aware of this version of scam by this company.

  2. Dot says:

    Hi folks,
I too am waiting for my third call back. Just thought the offers too good to be true….. 3 free flights to Tenerife, PLUS 1 week with free flights and accommodation to Lanzarote for 3 people… PLUS 3 weeks Gold crown or 5* accommodation anywhere we choose UK or abroad in selected countries.. All for £399 plus £44 50 per person booking charge. So came on here to see if anything on web about Superior Resorts…… and Bingo found this web site…. So thanks to you all for your feedback. When they phone back at 5pm the answer will be a definite NO to Lindsey Marshall.

  3. Susan says:

A company called saying they were RCI, offering 4 weeks holiday for £399 due to the recession. When I hesitated they dropped the price to £299 with a couple of flights thrown in. I have received the paperwork today and it confirms my purchase of one week’s accommodation on condition that I attend a presentation!! Are these people allowed to get away with blatantly lying on the phone and obtaining money under false pretences? Should have known it was too good to be true.

  4. Brian says:

If you write to this company it goes to a PO Box in Albir, just outside of Benidorm. I know….my Brother lives there!
I am currently trying to fight to get the £249 back that I paid this company. I had a call from a “Manager” who confirmed that I “Shouldn’t have been offered free flights by Warren Anderson” but would I take them up on their deal anyway ?!

  5. Claire says:

Superior Resorts have rung on saturday (megan) 20th October to offer 3 weeks 5* accommodation for £249 per week, gave some website details and said they would all us back. The number they called us on on our home landline would not come up, but they called on our mobile and the number came up as +34966864886 (my guess is tenerife or similar!) The number they gave us 08707922190 to call back on, however today, Rebecca was most insistent that we take up the deal today without bothering to check the website as these were “all RCI resorts so what are you worrying about”. She then offered 2 weeks for £399. Hubby said we’d call them, but I fully expect them to call us before that happens! Our answer will be “no thanks!” Too good to be true – I think so! Incidentally, we were also contacted by LMS earlier in the year – similar deal – we declined that time too. When we told Rebecca today we had been called already, she replied ” I don’t think so, this is a one-off offer to anyone”. LOL!

    • Claire says:

Literally an hour after Rebecca’s call, she rang again – either had forgotten she called us to was having one last ditch attempt. We told her we’d contact her if we were interested. She was ok about that, disappointed but at least not rude when she ended the call

    • Patrick says:

Just been contacted for the second time in about 3 weeks. The offer of 2 additional weeks holiday to include flights and taken at any time in next 3 years, all for £400 payment up front! An original request for documentation failed to arrive by post, follow up phone call today resuled in the deal being enhancd to 4 weeks holiday all for the same £400! Today requested more detail and received email explaining the offer. All aspects covered below by other potential clients were put forward.
Thanks to this site, I will be declining the generous offer on any further contact.

  6. Suzanne says:

    Suzanne says:
Had same phone call they said I was entitled to 3 weeks 5 star accommodation for up to 6 people they seem to no my details and said it was because we had paid so much maintenance on my timeshare which we do have have any more and not had it for 3 years now, this didn’t seem to matter. To bank these weeks all they were asking for was £399 (lol) I was a bit hesitant so I was passed on to someone else in the small time of handing the phone over to her I was suddenly entitled to 4 weeks with the 4th week now with flights when I said it sounded to good to be true she offered to double the price if that would make me feel better it started to get quit hard sale I said I would not be acting on anything till I spoke to my husband she was very insistent that I contacted him there and then at his work on his mobile (which I refused to do )
the contact No. I was given was 08701922 190

please if anyone knows if this is a scam please let us know

is there somewhere we can report this to so they can be put a stop to them
before they do hard working people out of their money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Mr & Mrs L.S.A says:

Ring Action Fraud on 03001232040 Web site www,actionfraud.org.uk Open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm Saturday 9am to 4 pm & Sunday 10am to 4pm. We have given them £449 and they want £69.50 per person for a 3 night stay in this country.Be very careful.

  7. tony says:

I was contacted today by Rebecca. Very persuasive. I am grateful to this website, amongst other reasons, for helping me to decide not to deal with Superior Resorts. I would only add to the comments above:-
    a. I have given up wondering how these people know that I am a time share owner and have my phone number.
    b. I am, however, concerned that they were able to tell me, in one breath, that they were not connected with RCI but, in the next breath, to tell me what is my RCI membership number.
    c. Not only does the website not tell you they are ATOL or ABTA registered (which Rebecca told me they were – and I still don’t know whether they are or not), but it also gives no corporate name and there is no company registered at the Companies Registry (in England and Wales) as Superior Resorts Limited or any similar name. Apart from the 0870 phone number, one would not know whether one was dealing with a company in the UK at all. If it is a company with a different name it is in breach of company law in failing to disclose that name on its website. There is no company registered as “Lifetime Marketing Solutions” (mentioned in a comment above) either.

  8. Al says:

Hi had a phone call from Ian Davies of Superior Resorts today, offering two week holidays any where in world, also I qualified for a two week Cruise all inclusive for just £498 for two people. He insisted that I pay by Visa or Mastercard, as this would guarantea full refund if we changed our minds about taking up his offer.e is due to call back at 2100hrs today for my answer

  9. martin says:

i have had the same phone contact from this company have checked with rci they do not use other companys for their resorts they are looking into this matter

  10. Christine says:

I was called today by someone called Lily Carter. She offered me six weeks 5 star accommodation for £498 two off the weeks included flights and it was for up to six people.

  11. Jacqui says:

I was called today by someone called Ronny, he mentioned Interval International and said we were being offered this opportunity as we had paid our maintenance. He offered 2 weeks for up to 6 people for £197 p/wk and flights would be included for some European countries and he had a strange number of flights depending on where you were going. I asked for some documentation to look at, he said it was in the resort directory, I said I didn’t have one and he said he would send me one and gave the website address.
He said it was ATOL protected which makes it sound convincing, but then he said ‘it’s ATOL protected because we only take payment by visa or mastercard’ – they have nothing to do with ATOL. He will ring back tomorrow and I will thank him for his time.

  12. eve says:

I was called by Warren Anderson and told about the free week offer ( two separate weeks) and an additional one week abroad plus flights for £200. I paid on mastercard. I tried to ring today but it just kept ringing, I will phone back tomorrow because they said they would email me and I have so far not received that email.

    • Chris says:

I too have paid a substantial amount to this company. I am now emailing them through their ‘contact us’ page from their website as the credit card company I paid with asked me to do on a daily basis with the following wording: Date of message, Please could you advise by (date, give one weeks notice) when you will be returning our £….. The credit card company will after a couple of weeks ask you to fill in a form of dispute enclosing copies of the messages. It is illegal for this company not to offer a cooling off period. I have managed to actually speak to someone at Superior Resorts who told me that they do not issue refunds nor do they have a cooling off period. Here are a couple of phone numbers which to contact them on: +34966864380 and +34966864468.

    • Linda says:

Same happened to me…duped into paying £200 and told they were with rci…f(eel so stupid) and when no paperwork was recieved(after 2 weeks) I rang my credit card company to check and was given their e-mail address which appears to be non-existent…along with a telephone number which just rings out! I was in process of speaking to cc company again to inform potential fraudulent company and while on hold the post came…. just today received some paperwork from them but am now very wary of sending confirmation back…it would appear conditions attached to their weeks… mandatory to waste half a day in a meeting!! nothing of which was mentioned on the phone.

      • Evieb says:

Apparently you can use these in Great Britain too and no meetings. Other areas abroad you don’t need to attend meetings. The usual Tenerife and Spain and those places you do need to attend meetings. I have paid out and got paperwork but not booked up anything yet. Let you know what happens when I try to book something. Evieb

  13. Lisa says:

just had a call from Warren Anderson offering wonderful deal for 3 wks holiday for £399, with flight vouchers, became very persistent when I said I would check with my husband and would call back, wanted a £50 deposit to hold the offer. I have now read your reviews and won’t bother calling back. Thanks.

  14. John says:

The name of the company taking the credit card charge was Lifetime Marketing Solutions.

  15. John says:

I got a phone call on Tuesday 17th July 2012 from what I thought was RCI as that was what they said they were, offering me a two week holiday with flights for £258. The low cost was because the holidays had been purchased by RCI members who has subsequently cancelled the holiday and they needed to be resold to existing members. I accepted and confirmed the RCI membership numbers and the contact phone number 0870 1922 190 to Greg Marshall. On Thursday 19th July the value of the holiday was taken from my MasterCard Account. A week has gone by with no details of the options available and their website closed while being redeveloped. I think I shall simply apply to have the credit card payment refunded on the grounds of non supply of service.

  16. Neil says:

We have paid £347 quid, i asked for a frefund the same day as my partner had made the recervation was tols i would have to wait a month for a refuun now company won’t answer calls, although did get thru to be told to call back tommorow!

  17. Isabel says:

help, very worried too, same situation as Brian

    • Kez says:

Also very worried. Spoke to someone on Friday 29 June and make a booking as I carelessely assumed it was a company which I had dealt with before. On further research, it would appear that this is far from legitimate. I then tried to phone and it rang and rang until I eventually got an answer. Scarlett Durran claimed to be the manager of reservations and was extremely rude and dismissive. She informed me that they have a non-refundable policy and that they do not have a 14 day cooling off period, even though the sales agent Warren Anderson specifically told me they did. It is clearly a SC**!! LI***!!!Please stop this company from operating. I have written to BBC watchdog/ I would suggest that others do the same. Scarlett told mem that in any case, I would need to wait until the T&C’s had come through before requesting a refund, which she insists I will not get anyway. What the T&C’s say is irrelevant now as far as I am concerned as I was sold a product under false pre-tenses!!! Write to watchdog.

  18. BRIAN says:

….and today, the phone line is now dead!

    • Hi Brian,
This afternoon we sent you the email with all the information you requested.
      Kind regards

    • Debbie says:

Brian, i got through this afternoon on 08701 922 190 but did not get issue resolved. the address i had was in Spain, C.i.F B54569470, aptdo. correos 234, 03581 Albir, alicante, Spain.

  19. BRIAN says:

£259.50 taken from my account and NOTHING RECEIVED IN RETURN from this company.

  20. Lizzy says:

I think I had a luckey excape when my credit card was denied for the initial the payment, that gave me a chance to check them out on the website asap and noy am I glad i did otherwise I would have been £318.00 worse off.
Don’t even have a conversation just put the phone down they are not worth it.

    Elizabeth

  21. BRIAN says:

I was given an address of 25 Cecil Square, Margate, Kent. C79 1BA.

  22. CeliaRose says:

I got a call from a man claiming he was from the Radisson Holiday Resort. He offered me 2 weeks holiday for £159 p/w in about 20 resorts When I kept questioning him he said the name of the company was actually Interval Resorts and asked him to give me a call back so I could check the company out he said he had logged me onto the system and I would loose my discounted holiday.
I asked him to send me an email so I could verify who he was , he sent the email but it came up as Superior Resorts. I googled it and here I am, I put the phone down on him.

Has anyone heard of The Holiday Specialist? How can I get my money back, It has been more than 1yr and I used a debit card?

    • Debbie says:

Celia, I got a call on Friday and the guy said he was from Interval who i have a time share with so i assumed he was from the company, he knew we had a time share and what size it was. said he was able to offer me upgrade for school holidays in larger apartment size and also the weeks i had banked he could upgrade, so i paid.
I rang Interval to discuss this and they knew nothing about it, i rang back on the number he gave me and could not speak to him and i asked for the information to be emailed but still not received it, so i was getting uncomfortable i rang again and said i have had a change of heart and want a refund, and was told it was non refundable, when i said that at no point was that explained and surely if offering a service there must be a cooling off period, i was getting that they dont make the rules they are following what been told etc. So i asked for the address of the co and they gave me an address in Spain. I have rang again today to speak to the person who sold me the package but no call back as yet.
Did you ever get your money back?
Does anyone know the protocol for such things?
Thanks for any advise, just wanted to let you know you were not on your own.
      Debbie

      • CeliaRose says:

Thanks Debbie for letting me be on the alert. I did not give the salesperson my account details because he kept changing his story and I became suspicious. I have been burnt once by The Holiday specialist but never again. The guys at mindtimeshare seem to be able to get results but my case was more than twelve months ago so I don’t really think I’ll be able to get money back. All the best . Celia

  23. cgj says:

March17th. Paid £298 for two weeks room only any part of the world -. assured this included Dubai . 23rd March after reading the above remarks, telephoned 0870 1922 190 requesting paper work. Spoke to Dean who firstly said there was problem with my credit card then after further checks stated that payment had been received. He then stated that paper work had not been received from head office, promised to contact me when these had been received. Wonder if I should put strop payment on cheque?

  24. Simon says:

superior-resorts.com site is inaccessible, phone going unanswered…

Paid £199.51 for ‘one week including flights to be used by end 2014′; no paperwork followed, called again and was asked for another £150. Requested refund, no action, unable to contact… looks like a s***

  25. PATRICIA says:

do you know if blue horizons is a genuine comp in fuengerola please
