Blue Flag Travel, a new cold calling Fly-buy Operator related to GC Resorts.

A company called Blue Flag Travel has started to cold call Timeshare consumers with an offer for a promotional stay at their resorts.

Blue Flag Travel (the same as GC Resorts) is not very clear about where they obtained the personal data of the consumer, data which obviously cannot be obtained through the timeshare resorts or reputable exchange companies.

The website from Blue Flag Travel http://www.blueflagtravel.com was registered at the beginning of March 2012, but for a new company they have certainly a lot of resorts on offer.

The content is though very similar to other Fly buy websites, such as the GC Resorts one mentioned in a previous blog http://wp.me/p1kmoi-4U

So it seems it’s another fly-buy week provider from the group of companies run by Eugen Kaiser (https://mindtimeshare.me/?s=eugen+kaiser)

From the website it isn’t very clear where the company is based, as there is only a telephone number 0044 1225 946 007 and different email addresses: info@blueflagtravel.com, qualitycontrol@blueflagtravel.com and reservations@blueflagtravel.com

There is no office address and neither is there a UK Companies House registration number.

On the FAQ page there is a question about how they can offer these promotional weeks:   How can you do the weeks so cheap? The resorts and hotels we have available are choosing to offer these are cost price due to low occupancy on the resorts.  This gives the resort the opportunity to promote the onsite facilities and amenities that are available to you and also let you know of any future offers.

Are they actually saying here that there is a presentation attached to this offer? Will that be part of the terms and conditions once the consumer has paid for a promo week? Maybe you are better off asking this upfront, the same as other terms and conditions such as age and who you have to travel with.

Do ask! Better be safe than sorry!

There is nothing wrong with taking up a promotional week offer, and most timeshare consumers are familiar with these kinds of holidays. But we always ask for caution in cases like companies such as Blue Flag Travel when the offer comes on a cold call, the terms and conditions are not mentioned on the website and the company does not provide a lot of information about themselves.

Have you been called by Blueflag Travel from 01225946007 ?

Please tell us your experience.

Hi, i’ve had 3 months of calls from Blue Flag Solutions saying they can relenquish my timeshare for a one of payment of £495, after trying to get rid of my timeshare for several years, i eventually paid the money 8 Jan 2012, in a bid to get rid of it. Before I signed up with Blue Flag I asked how they could guarantee i would be maintenance payments free. They sent me a sample contact that just needed my details to be infilled which they would do once their fee was payed. I got sucked in and payed then their fee, since paying the money, they have been ducking and diving and I still haven’t had my contract. I asked to speak to the business owner and was told no she wouldn’t speak to me. They say they have sent my contract in the post,(which i havent received) failed to email me the contract saying they sent it to the wrong email address (yet they sent me an email before they had my money) then when they finally emailed me, there was no company signature, and they left a number for me to contact that doesn’t exist. I am now talking to my bank to see what they can do to help get my money back. – Stay away from this company or any assoicated companies.

Just avoid these people. Do not pay over any money! I had the same spiel as a few people above assured it wasn’t a timeshare when I agreed after several phone calls all quite pleasant to have two weeks of under occupancy resorts. The resorts on the web site are all good ones but of course they don’t even have the right to use those photos. I paid them £250 so I suppose it could have been worse. Funny old thing I decided to go to Tenerife and tried to get them to book me a week on one of the resorts on the website…. Realised that it would be a promotional visit and thought it would be ok. To be honest the two women I spoke to were really objectionable on the phone, and made a big deal of wanting my flight details etc I was pretty sure it was a sc** and at the last minute booked another apartment. Surprised.? Well we duly turned up at the accommodation where incidentally there wasn’t even a reception let alone anyone to meet us. Nobody answering the phone either. It was a Saturday and on the Monday morning we were called asking why we hadn’t turned up . Not best pleased we immediately went to the office of the person who had phoned to be told that the keys were waiting for us there on the Saturday. Now Blue flag hadn’t told us to go to a different resort to collect the keys…. Funny old thing the apartment was no longer available….. Although they could find us somewhere else… They denied knowing who blue flag were saying they use various companies to arrange their timeshares. basically it stinks… We were ok and didn’t let it spoil our week I was annoyed that I had been gullible though. The thought that someone would maybe turn up at a resort that they didn’t know and be left on the street is pretty terrible, so I beg anyone don’t let your relatives be duped by this type of company. hmm I theoretically bought two weeks … Something tells me it is pretty pointless trying to book the second week. what do you think?

Hi. I have my time share in Spain for sale on ebay. Two days ago I had a message through ebay from a Matt Jones asking for my phone number as he was interested in buying. I messaged him back through ebay with my number. I have just had a call from 01225946065, but I did’nt get to the phone in time. When I tried to ring back, the line was dead. So I looked on the net, and found this site. I shall be interested to hear what they say if they ring back. Thanks to all the previous responers.

I have just been ri**** off by Blue Flag Travel paid up front for 2 weeks vacation to be taken at any time upto 2015 Dec. Have panicked after reading the feedback on these people. But in all fairness we have had one week – unfortunately before i paid there was no mention of any “promotional” attending. But hey suffered 10am till 6pm of intensive sell but we have not purchased anything. Just lost a weeks holiday which has been paid for. Lucky escape I think after reading some of the horror stories.

Cold-Called by Blue Flag today, despite being registered with TPS.
No idea where they had my number from, but they quoted my husband’s name also. Usual ‘cheaper holiday’ spiel for a few minutes but the chap was pleasant when told we would not be interested.

  9. Jim says:

I was cold called by Blue Flag Travel on the 26th of April. The womans name was Yvone I asked her how did she get my number she said that I must have been in touch before. I told her that I had not and why did she phone me. She asked me whether I was going to book a holiday this year and I said that I wasgoing to book the same holiday as last year which was 3 weeks AI at the Granada Park Hotel in Tenerife. She told me that we could book the same holiday for you and I asked her how do I know that your Company is legit..She asked me to look at their website I was on my computer before she phoned so I found the website and the Granada Park was on their website.
I was then passed on to a woman named Leanne and after some discussion she told me that the price would be £1352.00 which was 3 weeks AI at the Granada Park, shuttle service & flights.I was then told to pay £3oo deposit and asked do you charge on top of the £300 if I pay by card, she said no. I was told that the information would be sent to me within the next two days.
On the 31st april I emailed Blue Flag for the booking confirmation , they sent me an email the same day saying Package Total £300 processed on 26th April 2012., and that we had to participate in promotions. They denied quoting me £1352.00 for a holiday.
I emailed them again and a woman called Kate Hughes phoned and told me that I was mistaken about the information I was given by Leanne. I told her that I was charged £306.10 for the deposit
and asked for the deposit to be refunded. She told me that they would charge me 50 euros for
cancelling the deal, She then said that a bank draught would take between 4-6 weeks to arrange and told me that someone from their accounts department would ring me the next day, of course they did not What a s*** . I booked the same holiday with Travel Republic the same Company that looked after us last year on 3rd may £1178.62

  10. Deb says:

I have just been called by blue flag travel, the guy I spoke to was very nice and not pushy (I will not be pushed!!) he was offering various holidays for 2 weeks in supposed 4&5 star resorts for a total sum of £395! He stated on a couple of occasions that the hotels were “certainly not” timeshare they were just struggling hotels with low occupancy due to the economic climate!!! I said that I would research them and the resorts and get back to them if I was interested. I will not be getting back to them but I am pretty sure they will get back to me! I havnt checked out tr accommodation yet but the offer is definitely too good to be true. Also for an additional £10 per day (half price to blue flag) I could upgrade to all inclusive. Yeah right!!!!

  11. jo says:

just received a cold call from blue flag holidays, i’m ex-directory so wanted to know how they’d obtained my number, they tried to blag me, that I’d visited their website on 7/2/12, which was impossible.
Quickly became a pushy sales pitch and frustration in callers tone was obvious as a refused to do any deals immediately from an unsolicited caller.

  12. S says:

My mother in law received a call today (who does not normally receive cold calls as she is ex-directory). No telephone number was provided. They offered a ‘too good to be true…must buy today’ deal and were very keen for us to view their website whilst on the phone. Initially v friendly but then got more pushy as we started to say that we didn’t want to sign up immediately.

  13. Georgina says:

I have been called 3 times this week by Blue Flag Travel, the third time they called, I answered my phone and they identified themselves as ‘Blue Flag Travel’. I asked them to remove my number from their database as I am not interested, etc etc, plus a few bits of legal jargon regarding unsolicited sales calls and cold calling. The number used was 0161 3810002 – that’s a UK based number based in the Manchester area.

    • Mervyn says:

Spoke to them today from a cold call by an operative named Sharon. Initially stated that the company we are presently with are refusing to accept weeks back unless they are paid a sum of money. After lengthy discussion we were offered a week in Gran Canaria for FREE, although it would cost us £375 pounds for advice on how to get rid of our present timeshare. When we stated we didnt want to go to Gran Canaria, lo and behold they offered us weeks in other areas throughout the world. I then checked their website which was very limited in what they could tell us, but the resorts looked very familiar to those offered by GC Resorts on a previous cold call. A search on google led me to this site and hence my posting here. Even though it may ne a legitimate company, id be very wary when dealing with them. Good luck

  14. lynne says:
