An apparent new company by the name Simple Property Marketing Solutions Ltd has recently started to cold call timeshare consumers.
On the call the timeshare owner is asked if they want to sell, and after the usual information and basic pitch on how much Simple Property Marketing Solutions Ltd can do for the timeshare owner, they will send an email to confirm the conversation.
Soon an email arrives indeed from info@simplepropertymarketing.net and surprise surprise they are already in a situation where they can do a secure offer for the timeshare membership.
They explain further: “As you have been made aware by your representative, in order to proceed with the sale we require you to place a refundable liability insurance deposit down which is all done through NatWest Business Services at NatWest Bank.”
Oh dear, is that an upfront fee I see there? It certainly is! And by bank transfer..
Simple Property Marketing Solutions Ltd with address Cavell House, Stannard Place, St Crispins Road, Norwich, NR3 1YE and telephone number : 0845 319 4874 are indeed asking for an upfront fee after a cold call and a guaranteed sale supposedly lined up
This company is actually registered at the UK Companies House with registration number 7899267.
Upfront fees were banned from any Timeshare Resale process as per the Timeshare Directive approved in the UK on the 23rd of February 2011. So SPMS should really be aware of this.
Have you been contacted by Simple Property Marketing Solutions or SPMS with phone number 08453194874 and offered a secured sale for your timeshare? Please let us know by emailing customercare@mindtimeshare.com or placing a comment on this blog.
oh dear. spms and breakaway marketing. sounds like ive just been scammed out of my savings. how do i report this to the authorities and is there any chance of getting my money back?
I have been contacted today by Deed Transfer Specialists Ltd from a Norwich address ( could this be another arm of Simple Property company)) The contact was made by a Daniella offering me £5900 for my timeshare with a customr lined up. All was very interesting and sounded too good to be true and when I refused to pay a so called insurance deposit of £870 I was informed they could not help any further. On checking Martin Lewis’s advice line it seemed identical to another offer made by a Daniella Morris on 26/8/12.When the owner refused to pay the deposit the call ended?

I had dealings with Greenges in May 2011 from an address at Fuengirola Malaga and presented all my paperwork to them prior to legal action on my behalf. As soon as they requested a payment of £850 by Credit Card for which I refused to pay, the dealings came to a halt. It seems that they have moved addresses, I wonder why

Anyone had any dealings with above ?
SPMS contacted with a frm offer for Voyager £5100,but when I declined to pay £1200 insurance
Sarah Ford said ”sorry, in that case we cant help you’ and was gone
We have just been told a similar story, a firm offer of £28.000, we were asked for a payment for insurance and I said she would have to speak to my husband later. We got scammed last year and paid another company, (Breakaway Marketing,) and lost £1,500 through the same procedure. Is the company doing the same, or do they actually sell any properties, we are desparate to sell having been made redundant and now in debt.
