VP Marketing Consultants, the Face to Face appointment

Have you been called by VP Marketing Consultants for a face to face meeting in order to discuss the disposal of your timeshare? Well recently a lot of consumers received this call.

VP Marketing Consultants approaches Timeshare owners on a cold call.

They talk through the usual information about timeshare, ongoing maintenance fees and the difficulties to sell. Luckily VP Marketing Consultants who is working for a “cooperate client” is going to invite the timeshare owner to a meeting where they can discuss their problems and will be able to dispose of their timeshare.

Lately we have also heard from consumers that those who are not willing to travel hundreds of miles to a meeting, can take the option for a home visit.

Their informative email which is send from info@vpmarketingconsultants.co.uk does not really have a lot new information and seems very familiar to all those other emails received from companies who invite consumers to similar meetings.

VP Marketing Consultants also has a website www.vpmarketingconsultants.co.uk which was registered in June 2012

The phone number they use is 0161 870 3695 or 0800 689 0056 and they claim to be based in Manchester.

A timeshare consumer who insisted to VP Marketing Consultants that they wanted more information about the meeting and who would be there, received the following information:

“The Company we would introduce you to, are called Eco Resorts & Sales Ltd, (registered in the UK,) they are overseas property investors, nothing to do with timeshare.”

So there you are, the presentation will be done by ECO Resorts & Sales http://www.ecoresortssales.co.uk , a company with overseas projects who indeed will offer a disposal of your timeshare, as long as you invest in one of their projects!

Eco Resorts & Sales Ltd has been mentioned before in connection with other companies such as Waterstone Consultants who also invited timeshare owners for meetings: http://wp.me/p1kmoi-3R

Have you been contacted by VP Marketing Consultants with phone number 01618703695 or 08006890056 for a meeting about timeshare disposal?

Don’t have anything to do with VPM! Following the usual cold call and a visit to sell us a share in an Eco Resort, which we declined, they then said that they could advertise our timeshare for sale on their website, which they did for £199. But recently VPM rang saying that they had a ‘corporate client’ who wished to rent our apartment for a week – maybe with a view to buying. Foolishly we trusted them and gave our card to take the £25 that they asked for to ..”process the paperwork”. My husband confirming over the phone that it would be that and no more, and the lady said …”yes, £25, I am putting it through as we speak”.

However that evening my husband was checking his emails only to find one from ‘Paypal’ stating that they had taken £399 from our bank … “as instructed by VPM”. We do not have a ‘Paypal’ account ourselves but obviously VPM do. After contacting ‘Paypal’ and our Bank to tell them that we had not authorised this amount either to VPM or to ‘Paypal’, we were told to wait a week to see if the money was picked up by ‘VPM’, as this would then be classed as a ‘fraud’. We were also advised to cancel our card, which we did. Maybe because of our quick intervention none of this money was picked up and so was returned to our bank account a week later.

Mistakes do happen – but despite several emails and telephone calls (you are always asked to leave a message and they will get back to you!), VPM have not come back with any explanation or apology. So it would seem to me to be just another ‘scam’ to get money any way they can. And it appears to be so easy to ask for any amount that they like without authorisation once they have your card – and that’s quite ‘scary’.

Has anyone been contacted by Judicare from Spain? they called my mother today saying they could get rid of her timeshare, but she had to pay a subsription to them of £199 before they could do anything, yet the person my mum spoke to – Mike, said the timeshare disposal was for free. Then they said it lasts for a year, and if mum has PPi issues or anything else in that year that will cover it. The thing is when I looked into them they are based in Spain, but the website doesn’t have a Spanish translation, and they show offices all over the world, but when you click into these, they don’t link to anywhere. I know it is only £199 but before mum pays it, can anyone tell me is this another scam from Spain? she has been done before thanks Kirsty

My father has been constantly targeted by companies offering to sell his timeshare. He is £4,000 down at the moment, I have tried to convince him they won’t buy as he was told his timeshare couldn’t be sold. He now has an appointment on Wednesday to go to a meeting with VP Marketing Consultants. I may go with him, or shall I just talk him out of it (not easy)

  6. Roddy Murray says:

    Hello,
My meeting has been cancelled for some reason!! Looks like they are reading this post see quote below…

    Hello Mr Murray
Sorry to hear you are not particularly interested in our options with regard to your timeshare disposal, therefore, we have cancelled your appointment so that someone else can have the facility.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you feel we can be of help to you in the future.
    Kind regards, Natalie Woods.

    Hello,

I have been contacted by them. I am supposed to meet them on Friday 27th. They are even offering me £100 travel expenses. To good to be true!! Personally I will give the meeting a miss unless Mindtimeshare want me to go on a fact finding mission!!
