Who is Mr. Force from LCMlaw, the legal advisors used by Eze Group?

We have received some very worrying comments from consumers who have been dealing with Eze Group and expressed their opinion on our blog about the fact they were not happy.

Eze Group has taken these comments very serious, and has taken it as far as going through a legal company LCM Law in Birmingham to send the consumers they have identified, a threatening letter if the comments were not deleted from the blog.

These letters send out from LCM Law are signed by Mr. G Force from the Compliance and Legal Department.

The consumers who have received such letter have been contacting us, but some of them also contacted the LCM Law Firm in order to speak to Mr. Force directly.

How big was the surprise when the receptionist from LCM Law was not able to transfer the call, as there is no such person by this name in their offices!

How is this to be explained?

We certainly agree that it’s unacceptable that a so-called member of the legal profession acting on behalf of “a high profile UK and European company”, should  hide behind a false name, especially sending  a threatening email intended to intimidate. How unprofessional is that?

We from Mindtimeshare will continue informing consumers as we feel that everybody has the right to know what is happening!

They also sent us what we thought was a legal court summons for the court in Birmingham – however when we took it to a legal professional he informed us it was bogus just like the whole EZE group company – we ignored it and they eventually went away – however after 18 months of relative peace they have just started to hound us again with very rude and aggressive phone calls they are a bunch or cr*******.
How many peoples lives have they damaged

    • dee says:

so what r you doing now since there have started after 18 months as i would like to know i am being written by lcm lawyer and i do not know what to do at this stage. soplease email me back. thankyou

    • Jim says:

I am now really worried as you have said you are getting aggressive phone calls after 18 months. It was last June when we signed and have had a year from hell trying to cancel this contract. We had a letter from LCM Law last September and on the advice of the ECC wrote to say we did not owe any money and were taking legal advice. We have not heard anything since but if we do I have a card up my sleeve to play.
In the terms and conditions you receive when you sign in Tenerife there is a bit which says you will get your credits on payment of the final balance. While trying to cancel with the Compliance Officer I have in writing that they said there is no cooling off period as the product has immediate use. It doesn’t, it says so in the T & C’s. I hope however that they have been brought to account long before i hear anything more and wiped off the face of the earth!

  2. Dave says:

Im wondering if al the above people have been helped in anyway Im in same boat and don’t know which way to turn, none of the above seem to have any answers

  3. Carol says:

I took out membership with EZE Group in Tenerife. We returned home having paid a deposit of £XK with a balance to pay of £XXK. I terminated my club ,membership immediately after reading about the company and assessing the true benefits. I received an email informing me that my case had been passed to LCM Law for further action. We shall see.

    • Dave says:

hi Carol I came home same day as you and now they after me to pay balance, I have just received the letter from LCMLaw too,.

  4. a says:

has anyone found out how to deal with company and stop them doing to other people pleas email.

  5. James says:

I have now been sent a letter from LCM Law demanding the money they say i owe them. I have spoken to the ECC (European Consumers Commission) and they say this is just scare tactics and to write saying as far as i am concerned I owe nothing and I am seeking legal advice so please put this dispute on hold. They say I will hear back from them but it is likely they will give up. I have also looked up LCM Law online and as far as i can see they have assets of £100, basically Eze Group have set up a company looking like a legal form which they are not and would cost them far too much to ever enforce. The last line of the letter says ” If you don’t understand the contents of this letter you are best just to pay!” Initmidation or what, is this actually legal?

  6. James says:

This thread seems to have gone quiet but I am in the same position as the people above.
I signed the Eze group contract in tenerife and am lucky in that i only paid £300 deposit as it was all I had.
I don’t expect to see that again but I have now had a letter from the Compliance dept asking for the balance which is ovedue.
I have sent a cancellation recorded delivery stating my reasons why i am cancelling, mainly the credits I signed for will cost me an extra £50,000 over their lifetime.
They of course have told me this was made clear to me which it was most definitely not.
To cut a long stort short i am now taking advice from my local CAB who has written a letter for me to send them and the ECC (European Consumer Commission) whi have all my paperwork and have said go ahead now with the CAB letter which will buy me time and may just work.
I have been sick and stressed with worry, been very tearful and had time off work over this.
Has anyone actually been to court please as the only hope i have to hang on to is that both the CAB and ECC feel that as Eze group are skating on the surface of EU law regarding this scheme, they will not want anyone investigating too closely exactly what they do.

  7. Jack says:

Contact the Fraud Squad – Ezegroup need to be exposed – they have sc***** us but won’t get away with it – intend to fight to the end to protect all those innocent people who have been duped out of money to join a scheme which will take even more money – DON’T GIVE IN – USE YOUR VOICE AND EXPOSE THEM !!!

    • Jenny says:

Hello Jack – were you in Crewe? Did you pay deposit – are they badgering you for the balance? My son is a lawyer, and our papers are presently in his hands. Let me know if you need help.

      • Hilda says:

        Hi Jenny

I was in Crewe recently same cancelled contract after 7 days deposit plus balance to pay now being chased would appreciate your help

  8. Jenny says:

We too have paid a deposit of £2500 with a balance to pay – we are not paying – we shall probably be hounded – but intend to write to Trading Standards, Law Society, SRA, and also Insolvency, and the Daily Telegraph. Club Class were ousted!! We have to remember that these people are deceptive and dishonest – Pray that justice will prevail!

  9. A consumer posted the following message:

we have paid £3000 deposit and when we told them that we had a 14 cooling off period they said it doesn`t apply to them as they are not a timeshare company, is this right?

  10. g says:

Where do these peopleget their information such as email and persanal addresses?
It states here on this site that addresses are never made public.
    Any thoughts

  11. Anon123 says:

I have just received a letter from LCM Law threatening me with a statutory demand upon me via the courts whichapparently will affect my credit rating and they will enforce a demand against my assets or petition for my bankruptcy. As they reckon I owe them over £10,000 for breach of contract they are saying this can be done against a debt in excess of over £750,00 or more. Although I was silly enough to sign a contract while in Tenerife, I did keep telling them that my other half would have to sign too when I had showed him how it works and see if he agrees too. We are divorced so both own our timeshare points. They say I am still liable as atleast one of us has signed. It wasn’t until I returned and showed everything to my ex and checked them out online that we both began to have doubts so managed to get my deposit back that I paid on credit card but Eze Group obviously didn’t like that and have now got LCM Law to send me this letter.

Can anyone give me any advise of what to do now?

    Many thanks

    • DS says:

Hi please let me know how you get along. i’m also in the same boat , however i didn’t get my deposit back as i left it too late. I received a letter this morning from the law company asking for £11500.00 otherwise they will take me to court. I really don’t know what to do.

    • John says:

I would like to reply. The letter contains a number of false statements. Statutory demands are not issued ‘via the Court’ and are not even issued through the Court. A statutory demand can not be enforced against assets because it is not an enforcement procedure by itself, it is a preliminary step in bankruptcy proceedings. I doubt whether the issue of a statutory demand affects credit ratings as it is not a judgment. I doubt whether a timeshare or similar agreement made in Spain is subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. Even if it were, the only copy of an Eze Group agreement that I have seen is such a dogs dinner that it is pretty impossible to say what has been agreed at all. The letter from LCM Law is deliberately misleading and designed to induce fear in its recipient such that they pay up to make the situation go away. I am not a criminal lawyer, but the time was when that was called demanding money with menaces. Any recipient of such a letter should complain to Trading Standards. The Solicitors Regulation Authority may also be interested given that LCM Law claim to offer legal services. Most recipients of the letter are likely to perceive it as ‘a solicitors letter’ and hence to believe that what it threatens can actually be put into practice.

  12. MR says:

These clowns are only sabre ratteling. There is no logal basis on their complaints. Just tell I would gladly see them in court…

    • Mr 123 says:

      i totally agree

    • PIC says:

We are in a similar scenario, and my wife is concerned that when she returns to Tenerife in November she might be arrested if EZE issue a writ in Tenerife. Is this possible?

      • ANON345 says:

I have also just received a letter from LCMlaw threatening a Statutory Demand for £XXXXXX after already writing to Eze group cancelling my agreement and requesting return of my deposit on the advice of Timeshare Consumers Assoc. Apparently there are a lot of us in the same position – I’m worried sick but live in hope that the advice I have received will carry me through and end the nightmare!! I wish everyone in the same position good luck and a resolve to a very nasty situation.
