LA Premiere and L.A.P Travel Ltd, the new “companies” from Club Class!

It is certainly not surprising coming from Club Class, that they have set up a range of all new companies or new company names to confuse the public and continue their dubious business.

It is surprising though that somehow they seem to be under the impression they will be getting away with this. One day they are Club Class PLC, the next day they are Leisure Alliance, Club Class Sarl and today let’s call it LA Premiere or L.A.P. Travel Ltd. This is beyond a joke!

So the BIS rules against 7 Club Class companies and orders the wind up, and Club Class goes and changes the names of the rest of companies and just copy / pastes the paperwork and continue to sell a dubious holiday product..

How is this possible?

We have now detected the latest company names used to sell the more than know Discount Travel Membership Club linked to Club Class.

This time the Membership is called Majestic LA Premiere, the marketer selling this is supposedly L.A.P Travel Ltd, and this marketer acts as intermediary for X L Sarl who sells this product.

Yeah right.

Looking at the paperwork, it is obvious they didn’t even bother to change the text, and they chose to simply overwrite the Names of the companies involved and placed a new logo on top.

The contract is yet again for a 12 month membership, which comes in very handy taking in account that the timeshare directive does not apply for duration of 12 month or less. The additional benefits such as Free Holiday Vouchers and the Cash Rebate are for a much longer period and indicate the member is expected to stay on much longer than 12 months!

So avoiding the cooling off period and the deposit taking on the day, the consumer is presented with a membership in the Discount Travel Club. Reservations will be handled by Premiere Travel SA, as all the other clubs.

And the contract is signed on behalf of L.A.P Travel Lt by the name of Eileen Lofredo Mesilio. Yes the same lady who also signs the Club Class Prestige ones, Leisure Alliance, Club Class Services Sarl and now LA Premiere. A very busy lady indeed!

For those consumers going on holidays to Tenerife or Costa del Sol, please be aware of the above and make sure you don’t end up signing a contract you don’t really want from a company you don’t really know!

We will continue to warn consumers about all the companies that all off the sudden see the light and all seem to be linked to each other. If you have purchased a Discount Travel Membership Club recently and are not sure what it is about, please do let us know.

  1. Robert says:

Just received another cold call from a (northern UK) female, working for an unnamed company regarding our CC membership and “were we aware that two directors had been charged with fraudulently removing money from the CC coffers and that LA Premiere had taken over the running of the company?” I replied “yes” and was then asked if I would be willing to sell my membership. I responded “just send me a certified cashiers cheque and I will relinquish all rights” . She then asked if I had been approached to sell previously. I replied that I had had between 20/30 calls regarding selling. She then asked why I had not gone into contract with any of them. I replied ” because it’s a con!!” She then said ” it’s not a con, be careful what you say on the telephone – ah you have the right name you are a prat – goodbye” and then hung up

Obviously comes from the Adolf Hitler charm school

We had the same experience as many of those people who have commented on L.A.Premiere. Same old hard sell in Tenerife and we parted with £1800 as an initial payment. We were exhausted after three or four hours of pressure. On returning home in March we came across the Mindtimeshare website which worried us a great deal and we then contacted Alberto who was very helpful. L.A. Premiere insisted there was no cooling off period but we disputed this and wrote to them within fourteen days of signing the contract requesting cancellation. After nearly three months we have finally received a full refund from our credit card company. My advice to others is stay well clear of L.A. Premiere.

Whilst in Tenerife in February we signed up with L A Premiere but then found out there was no cooling off period after I wrote a letter of cancelation to their address in Gibraltar but was told the only alternative was to take two holidays within a year , we had paid them £2.400 i rang my master card provider who told me to get in touch with the disputes dept ,i then sent copies of the agreement a letter explaining the sales pitch and some copies of emails off this site ,i have now received a full refund off my card provider ,I won’t get done again

    • dawn &Paul says:

Exactly the same has happened to us, so we are now contacting the credit card company for a refund…. It was so convincing in resort and seemed above board… They had all the answers to our questions and concerns so we thought it MUST be genuine! Mug comes to mind now!

    • Dee says:

We have recently gone for the same ‘deal’ as Sylvia, (£2,400 for two holidays plus one week accommodation). We signed on 21 April and were promised documentation within 28 days. Nothing received so far! I have been in touch with our credit card provider and expect a call later in the week to see what we can do to attempt to get our money back!

I have two club class contracts in front of me ; one dated 2003 and one dated 2011.
In the first one it states
1.Club Class Holidays Ltd is exclusively responsible for the redemtion of this product and undertakes to supply quality accommodation at selected high quality resorts.
    2–
3 .your annual subscription is currently £55 and is due twelve months from commencement of your membership.Failure to comply will result in loss of membership rights for that year.

nowhere does it say that payment is is required. Also Club Class Holidays Ltd went into
    liquidation in 2009.

In the second contract dated 2003,it states
    1. your contract is with Club Class Services (sarl) based atpo box 847 Garison House, Liberty Ramp. The laws of Gibraltar shall govern this agreement.
    2.–
    3. I/we understand that all memberships to Club Class are due for 12 months only and i/we are not guaranteed any benifits or services once this membershiptime period elapses.
    4. i/we understand that on expireyof the twelve month period prestige members will be given the option to enter into a new contrac for £95.
    5. i/we understand that within 21 days prior to the expirey of my /our membershipm,Clubb Class will contact prestige members to see if they wish to enter into a new contract.

those extracts make it very clear that no fees are due unless you want to throw money away .
Appart from which, no court in the land would require you to honour a dodgy contract with a company closed up by the same courts because of dubious practices.
What is Sochalls part in this buisness? do they really not know the court judgment?

    • bruce says:

I also signed the contract and paid almost £1000 in registration fees.Lucky I paid by visa card.Once I got home they were to call me to arrange how we would pay the remaining £2k,I avoided the call and called my bank to report this deal and see if I could reclaim the money back.I said that I was not happy about the no cool off period before payment. The good news is I got the money back into my account yesterday.

    • karl says:

we have done the same. i have signed a contract with la premiere and i have paid out no money yet.do i just say to whoever phones me i am not interested. how did you get on as we want to cancel ours as well please let us know.

all are paper work we signed had no address on for La premier. do you have there address so we can send a letter to cancel. thanks karl

      • bXXXXX says:

Bad new for us today. We received a letterm in the post from the bank. They have investigated the transaction between myself and LA Premier and have found in their favour. The £1000 the bank deposited into my account the other month will now be removed. We loose £1000 for nothing. Is there anything else I can do to recover this money?
We will never go on a holiday like this again. Will stick to the high street from now on.

  6. margaret says:

I have just returned from Tenerife, a travel company called LA Premiere, was trying to sell us cheap luxury holidays The costs they gave us was very tempting saving a lot of money on the holidays we would normally take.. You had to sign up for a monthly sum of however much you wanted, in our case they quoted £95 per month using our credit card. They were saying it would be for 5 years and this amount would cover 7 luxury holidays of our choice which we could take when we wanted.. We did see through them, not wanting to sign anything. Looking back what they were trying to get us to sign was for a £5700 loan (that they would have the money in their bank account to pay for the holidays that we take) and we would pay back each month for the next 5 years presumably with interest on top of the £95 quoted.

  7. bruce says:

I am just back from a holiday in Tenerife thanks to LA Premier Travel. The holiday was great for the money paid and yes I would go back in the future.Towards the end of our holiday we were collected and driven to their office in Fanabe where we sat for a few hours listening to their pitch.I must say I was impressed with what they had to offer and we decided to sign up.We were members of Club Class but never used them so had no issues with them.We have signed up for their holidays and will be receiving a call in the next day or two to finalise the registration. What I need to know is what bad experiences have you had with them that would make me want to say no.I have paid some monies already for the registration and I do not want to cancell now in case I loose that first sum of money. The delema we have is do we pay in full saving a considerable sum or do we go with the monthly payment plan which will in the long run cost more? Any replies will be much apreciated.

Oh and I am also receiving e mails from Club Class asking for unpaid yearly fees.

    • Julie says:

Bruce last year My Husband and I went on one of the LA Premier Travel holidays in Spain. Lovely weeks holiday. However, I did not realize they were part of Cub Class.until I received a call on my mobile to say we would be collected at the hotel and brought to an Office near where we were staying. we had been promised a lift at the airport to the hotel when we arrived but could not make it. Our fare would be repaid back to us. Apparently Tesco was involved with club Class to finance the money to make it look like a good deal.. I dont know if you were told that. We were fed and watered all to get us to pay more but we could not really afford it and also my Husband was not going to pay out any more. If you feel you had a good deal then fine but I would be aware.of not being offered what was said to you. We have been sent emails about membership fees. I am ignoring tham now.

  8. Hamish says:

Julie, Club Class have been annoying me on and off for monies since 2001 and my alleged bill is considerably more than yours – they have threatened debt collectors and other unspecified action over the years but nothing has happened. When their scare tactics do not work immediately they give up until a new name appears as the Membership Fees manager or another pompous title and authority and then they start again – cue the odious Maxwell Hamilton as a replacement for the the discredited Justin Gilson and family. I have even got bored with trying to get them to lose their tempers and say the wrong thing. Ignore them all.

  9. Kay says:

Keep up the good work Alberto -I can not believe they are now touting for trade at the Ideal Home Ex in the UK or that they managed to secure a pitch considering they have no assets to claim against.

  10. julie says:

Just to say that I received a email from club class to say we owed for membership. that ewe owe 270 pounds and that they will take action. What do we do. Julie

  11. BLUE SOX says:

Wasn’t there an earlier posting (some months ago admittedly) which mentioned that there was an arrest warrant issued in connection with Eileen Mesilio (amongst other dubious names linked with this seedy business)?

  12. Julie says:

I was at the Ideal Home Christmas Exhibition on Sunday 18th and one of the Exhibitors was Club Class. Trying to get people to part with £99 on a weeks holiday to Tenerife or Costa Del O Sol. I did talk to the young Lady just out o f politeness but did I leave quickly. Looks like they are trying other ways to lure people in.
