FIH Mediation Services, dubious mediation from Malaga, Spain

Another dubious company called FIH mediation services has started cold calling and offering their services against an upfront fee of £225.

FIH Mediation Services have a website  created in August 2011,where in spite of all the nice texts and explanations (who are all copied from other genuine websites) it really lacks of proper information on who you are really dealing with.

There is no company identification, the address is a postbox in a Malaga inland’s Post office and the contact number is a Spanish mobile!

FIH Mediation Services, F.I.H. 41,  Apartado 409, 29100, Málaga, Spain

Tel: 0034 672 978 037   Fax: 0871 266 4680 and 086 768 4144

Email: info@fihmediationservices

So much for “expert legal advice” and “quality personal service”.

Please remember that it is not allowed in Spain to offer Legal Services on cold calls to consumers. So any genuine legal company would know this and refrain from cold calling.

Have you been called by FIH Mediation Services? Please let us know!

Hi, I have been contacted by a company called H&A Mediation, who say they are based in Spain working from the address that was the same as FIH Mediation Service, I have been awarded a sum on money for the hassle that I received regards my timeshare. I have paid them a small admin fee, but now they are asking for more money, apparently this is the tax that is owed before my money that has been awarded to me can be sent on. Please can you advise if this company is for real as is this now has me concerned. Many thanks.

Sandy Jersey Channel Islands Yes I was caught by F.I.H Mediation Services.Reading the above messages it seems different names are used Maria Watson and the so called administrator David.Hope the Spanish authorities catch up with them soon as we almost lost our winter holidays through their scam.Praying on pensioners is the lowest a human being can go.

    • Hi Sandy,
      Thanks for your message.
These people have no feelings, and for the sake of getting money out of people they’ll do anything.
We will email you more information and also help to recover the money paid.
      Kind regards
      Customer Care

  3. Paul Hands says:

I have recently been contacted (out of the blue) by FIH Mediation Services, claiming that there is an upcoming court case (in Malaga) where I will have a 95% chance of recovering not only my “holding Fee” to “bodus firm” Evemont Consulting back in June 2009, but also up to 30% of the offer price made but never completed. They tell me the court case will be on 2nd November and that they require a 345 Euro court fee upfront.
Interestingly I have received another call today, this time not from FIH, informing me that the court case had already happened and that I was awarded the full “holding fee” plus 10% addition for worry and inconvenience.
So much then for FIH Mediation Services … especially as apparently it is against Spanish Law for such firms to cold-call.

    • Hi Paul,
      Thanks for your message.
Indeed it is against the law in Spain for legal companies to market their products to the consumers by cold calling.
They all seem to have their own date for the court case then?
      Kind regards

  4. Linda & Keith Jenkinson says:

We too have recently been contacted by Penny Harper from FIH and previous to that Half Moon Holdings. We foolishly sent money to the latter in the hope of selling for an inflated price. Having read all the messages here we will not be making the same mistake again!
What is there out there for the many people like us who have been the victims of fraud?

  5. Linda & Keith Jenkinson says:

We too have been contacted by Penny Harper and before that Half Moon Holdings. Unfortunately we foolishly sent money to Half Moon Holdings, so that was our first loss and I am sure after reading these messages we will not be making the same mistake again. The peole are so plausible! What is there available for us and the many others who have been the sujects of fraud?

    • Thank you for your message.
If you paid Half Moon Holdings by credit card you can try to do a refund claim.
We will send you all the information by email.
      Kind regards

We have also been contacted by Penny Harper of FIH Mediation Services and have received the very plausible information. However having read the comments on mindtimeshare we shall not proceed with her “help” Thanks for saving us 297 euro

  7. This and somany others like it is obviously fraud at the highest level, one question that springs to mind, why arn’t the Police douing anything to help?
    are they powerless to help?

    • Hi Gary,
The police is aware of these companies and the investigation is ongoing. Unfortunately these things go slow and they need all the evidence they can get from the people affected.

hi have been contacted by maria watkins from fih mediation services she said they could get my money back from half moon holdings for an up front bankers draft for 376.20 eros and that they would be in court 31st oct 2011,and that they would be contacting me 6th oct 2011 for my answer but after reading your coments i will not be going ahead with it, as one of your previous coments said she sounded full of knowlege about everything

    • Hi Robin,
      Thanks for the message.
FIH has been busy this week by what we can see on the comments.
Did they actually know about your payment to Half Moon Holdings?
Suppose you have enough information from this blog for when they call you back today!

  10. Beki says:

Hi, we’ve been contacted today by a lady called Irene Clarke from FIH Mediation Services offering to represent us against HM Holdings on a no win no fee basis, but court costs would have to be paid via our bank account of 397 euros which would be recovered by the courts from HM Holdings and paid back to us by Nov 11. She sounded extremely ligitimate and appeared to know everything she was talking about and even told me to contact our credit card company and inform them of the fraudulent activity with HM Holdings to claim my money back if i chose not to use their services. These people need closing down to stop preying on innocent people! Since March of this year we have been inundated with bogus callers all out to take money we have not got. If spanish authorities are aware of these companies they should be doing more to shut them down!!!!

    • Dear Beki,
FIH Mediation Services has just started to appear on this blog and we appreciate your comment as we need to know what their pitch is about and who they are calling.
Regarding the money paid to Half Moon, let us send you the info about claiming a refund.
      Kind regards
