Have you been cold called already by Inversion Refund Services?

A new alert goes out for a very active newcomer, called Inversion Refund Services.

The company Inversion Refund Services cold calls and offers a mediation service to claim the money paid to timeshare companies and for this service they ask an upfront fee of £395

One of the issues they discuss with the consumer is that they file complaints on the website www.econsumer.gov  a practice we have seen before with other companies and which is no guarantee at all about this company!

They claim to be purely a mediation company and in the agreement they outline the rules as follows:

“3. The client will be provided with a minimum of two (2) methods of resolving their issues. The agent agrees that, should the client not receive a mediation solution within a reasonable amount of time (cases are usually resolved within 120 days), the client refund of monies paid to the agent.

4. If the client instructs the agent, after the period stated in point 3, to proceed with further mediation then the clients waives the rights in point 3.”

Inversion Refund Services has no website and neither a domain email so they use a gmail account: inversionrefunds@gmail.com

They seem to be based in the UK, and in their documents the address quoted is Building 3, City West Business Park, Gelderd Road, Leeds LS12 6LN
Contact number 0161 850 0827

They also state in their documents Inversion Refund Services Ltd, but under this name there is no company registered at the UK Companies House.

Have you been called by Inversion Refund Services from telephone 01618500827 ?

Doh! I am realising I have become yet another victim of the above mentioned Julia James and her Inversion Refund Services. Today I received from Royal Mail my returned contract and my documents which I’d sent to the Leeds address after paying them the £425 up front. I then decided, too late, most likely, to research this company on Internet. Ms James initially contacted my ex wife re the liquidation of Incentive Leisure Group, and the prospects of being refunded the £1600 deposit we foolishly paid ILG. My ex partner then ‘helpfully’ passed on details to me, but Ms James cold called me before I’d had a chance to ring her. I held her at bay for a few weeks, intending to check OFT because it sounded risky paying up front but I was very gullible about the promises of paperwork being done on my behalf, and a guaranteed full refund within a time limit of 12 weeks or so. I paid by credit card over the phone approx 10 weeks ago.

I have emailed IRS asking for an explanation, but do not expect a reply. Since the fortunate Clare, received her refund IRs may indeed have cut and run. I’ll contact my credit card comnay and explore my options for a refund from them!

I left a comment here over the weekend but had no answer.I had a call from these people too (amongst a thousand others !) They are offering a no win no fee claim which i have accepted. Is that ok?

  3. Mrs Boose says:

I have found a company whom I have refered my timeshare friends onto called Resolved Claims Ltd. They have a website and could not be more helpful. I have had a refund from my credit card lenders and so have my friends. And in record time!! They ask for NO money upfront!!

  4. MRS JULIE says:

Yes I have been contacted by inversion refund services, just last week, but this is yet another scam company. Julia James was the lady who rang me….. and just like them all sounded sooooo convincing…..NOT!
I asked for the information to be posted to me and yes the , address and telephone number mindtimeshare have quoted ARE the same!!
My first reaction to Julia James, was lovely if you can get our money back that would be great thanks, but we won’t agree to pay money upfront for this, however the letter sent has a payment mediation cost of £425!!
We have had so many companies like this contacting us. We have already lost money with the bogus holiday company, holiday warehouse based in Tenerife, who have in effect stole our money.
We will never return to Tenerife, no one their has helped get our money back.
Let’s just hope all of those involved have had bad things happen to them, after stealing people’s money knowingly, and like all of them seemingly so nice……but indeed NOT.
Are we likely to make the same mistake again ……NO!!!.
Any legitimate company who can get our money refunded would be happy to refund this money and take their expenses out of it and send the remaining amount in a cheque to us. That would be lovely, but in reality not likely, unless there really is an honest law abiding company who can do this (LET ME KNOW ASAP IF THERE IS ONE!! LOL!!- STRICTLY NO MONEY FROM US….JUST TAKE YOUR FEE FROM THE £3,500.00 CHEQUE OWED TO US!!)
Any company asking for money upfront is simply a scam……sadly we have learnt the hard way, along with so many others it seems!

    • Thanks for your message Julie.
Indeed..when they start to talk about the upfront fee, better to stop the conversation and hang up.
Sorry you had to learn the hard way, it all leaves a bad taste in your mouth and it is just very frustrating there are so many companies out there taking advantage of consumers who are desperate.
      Kind regards

We have also been called by Inversion Refund Services and stupidly paid the £395 yesterday. However on receiving the contract by email for signing we found some questions that needed answering. On phoning them this morning all I could get was an answer machine saying they would call me back. This started alarm bells ringing and like other people I started trying to check up on them and found that no telephone number was listed to either their head office in Leeds or the Manchester office. I immediately called my credit card company’s fraud department and put a block on the card to stop any more money being taken out fraudulently. I am waiting to see if a call is made to us from Inversion and I will try to demand our money back as Clare has done in the above post and hopefully we will get a full refund.

    • Clare says:

I struggled for a few days and had several reasons why the refund did not take place but I was persistant and got it all back plus £6 extra. Keep at it I got mine back in the end. When I have called their office previously I have never got an answer on the phone before 10.20am. Let us know how you get on.

  6. Ian says:

They called me last week. I asked where they had obtained my phone number. The guy said something about a database that contained numbers in connection with timeshare. I put him off until yesterday when he called again and spoke about the fee and what they did to get money back under the Section &% system which has to do with credit card claims
I told him that things had changed for me and that this was not not as high on my priority list. He said OK and rang off. I will wait& see if they try and contact me again.

    • Clare says:

I have received a call from Inversion Refund Services assuring
me that a refund to my card has been made although at present itsnot showing, I will keep checking and let you know. I believe that we have the freedom to give positive and negative comments about companies and how we are treated. I want this noted that at no time have I called this company names, but during the call to me they have made statements claiming that I was derogetory and defamation of characture.

  7. Hi, I am dealing with a company called “Inversion Cashback Services” who I got involved with on an RCI presentation. They charge 90 euros a year to get money back. They say they are governed by Spanish Law ? Legal or Not ?

  8. Gordon says:

I wasa contacted this afternoon by a John Davies who came over as genuine(but don’t they all!!)
He sent me copies of an agreement etc. by E-mail and is awaiting my decision as to whether to pay there fee. needless to say following this alert I shan’t be doing so. He also promised to get me refunds of the amounts I paid to an outfit called Viva Connect who are also running a scam.Does anyone know of a company that can genuinely help people who paid The Incentive group money?

  9. BLUE SOX says:

The area code 0161 signifies a Manchester telephone number so it seems odd that they appear to be operating from a Leeds address.

    • Clare says:

I have been contacted by Inversion refund Services based in Manchester (I have the Manchester address if anyone needs it). I have to say they said all of the right things about my claim, working inline with Ministry of Justice guidelines and econsumer.gov but I had just come out of hospital and was not at my best and very stupidly paid the fee. I am now trying to get my money back and they are coming up with all of the stalling excuses. I have threatened police for fraud, solicitors etc but still nothing. I am now ontactint my credit card to set up a dispute claim.
