One on One Sales, have they been calling you already?

A new alert today for a company called One on One Sales. 1 on 1 sales is allegedly based in Lisbon, but calls UK Timeshare consumers for a guaranteed resale meeting in Benidorm Spain.

Oh dear, that’s sounds complicated!

One on One Sales has a website www.1on1sales.net which was registered on the 14th of February 2012.
Their address on the website is in Portugal, Avenida 5 de Outobre, 1050 Lisbon and their telephone number is 0845 0755874
Email admin@1on1sales.net

This company cold calls timeshare consumers, but not just anybody, they cold call timeshare consumers who have been duped by other companies before such as The Timeshare Factory http://wp.me/p1kmoi-bv

Most surprising is that the agent calling knows all about the timeshare membership and the amount of money paid to the previous resale company, but the name of the consumer has to be spelled out as they are not sure if they have the correct details.

The phone call is all about the fact that after the sale falling through previously, One on One Sales has found a corporate buyer for the timeshare and the good news is, that included in the sales price will also be the refund of the retainer fee paid before.

All you need to do is travel to Benidorm in Spain, where you will be met by a representative who takes you to the meeting with this corporate buyer. And even better, when the sale is agreed all the travel costs will also be refunded!

Wow, sounds too good to be true and worrying thing is that it surely is too good to be true!

Haven’t we heard this all before? Meeting in Mallorca, Benidorm, Fuengirola…what were they about? About resale? Certainly not! They were about buying into another dubious Holiday Club or an even more confusing Cash Back Scheme and paying yet again thousands of pounds!

Did anybody who wasn’t prepared to pay the amount to buy into this get his travel expenses refunded? NO WAY!

So please, be alert, and if this company One on One Sales from 08450755874 calls you with this tremendous offer, tell them you pass…that is the cheapest option!

Have you been called by 1 on 1 Sales?
Please let us know.

I spoke to Alistair Bentley today and will not be selling our points to any corporate company after reading your comments. Many Thanks for enabling us to see what these low life are up to.I asked lots of questions as we are really cautious and scam aware and he kept placating me saying “We do this all the time” as if there is nothing to worry about !!!. YES they do this all the time from the comments from the past 2 months on this site. He asked me for the certificate numbers which i didn’t give him of course and is going to get us an offer and come back to us. I expect it will be speedy and far more than we would have expected we could ever sell for. I asked about payment and he said we wouldn’t get that until after the legal transfer so i mentioned a bankers draft or transfer. He said that when we bought we didn’t get the funds straight away but i mentioned that when we bought it was through the company direct and not like this. We did buy some points from a member a few years ago off ebay and paid them with a bankers draft and they gave us the certificate face to face in their own home. Be very careful who you deal with and you could always ring your timeshare company direct to talk it through with them as they have often heard about all the scams being in the industry and could point you to the right people to sell to who are trustworthy. Of course, it goes without saying that you need to have some faith in that company first.

We have been thinking of selling,(getting shut) of our points for some time, did pay a fee to T&L group 14 months ago, never heard any thing or saw any advertiseing in papers as promised. So guess what ? get a phone call from our Dan with promises of all the stuff you have read earlier. come to Benidorm, sold your points, just need to clear things up, all exspenses paid etc.
So i got to thinking and found this web site of witch i am greatful. But one thing still bothers me, does any body actually know what happens if you get out there, what actually do they come up with or obtain for your loss of time & exspenses, when you tell them to shuv it ??????

  3. Lindsay and Colin says:

Col & Lin have been contacted a few times by Dan from One on One and he has a corporate buyer for us and all we have to is go to Benidorm at the end of April ! Glad we have found this site. We have previously been contacted by united Online – another scammer.

  4. merty says:

Got another call from Dan, from oneonone, to see if we had made our travel arrangements, when I told him what I had read on this site he told me not to take any notice of it, because it is an opposing site, he also informed me that if anybody tried to put anything good about onetoone on this site it would be blocked.

  5. Gordon says:

been contacted by 1on1 Will see what happens and what he has to offer

  6. merty says:

Been trying to sell our timeshare, we have not paid any money up front to anybody, last week we got a call from Dan from this number 08450755874,saying he could sell our timeshare, after a few more calls from him, he has just rang back saying he has a buyer for it, but we have to go to spain to meet them, we thought that was odd so looked on the net and found this site, thank- you for saving us a wasted journey and money.

  7. Mrs Jacqui says:

We are trying to sell our time share. I googled time share resale companies, and left details with 2 of them.TRC rang the next day and told us that they had a clients wanting our time share-very quick wasn’t it? The took £1400 pounds as a guarantee that as we would get the proceeds before we parted with the deeds, then when they received the deeds, we would be refunded. after 2 months we were told that the purchaser had to give backword and had lost his deposit, and that they would try to get us another buyer. Lo and behold 4 days later they had sold it again, but this would be dealt with by another firm who turned out to be One to One sales. They rang us today and gave us the garbage about having to got out to Benidorm and would refund our flight and accomodation costs. I went on the computer to look them up and have found all this information on your website about both companies. We are mortified, as we are pensioners and are now starting to get on to our bank about trying to get our money back, and we shall be getting on to the police.

Hi we too were given the same fairy story from TRC, and yes One to One did get in touch with us, a guy called Dan called, he seemed very nice on phone, until he asked us for more money to pay transfer fees, which I knew from the company, we own our timeshare with, that we did not have to pay, so I emailed him copy, he saud he wouls get back to me??? I eventually contaced him, and in no uncertain terms told him, that his company were totally unprofessional, as we were led to believe that they had boked tickets for us to go out to Benidorm, when I checked with airline they had`nt.
We contacted our bank re deposit paid to TRC, sent them all details of transactions etc, and today we have been informed that we have got our money back. My advice to anyone who has paid out and not heard anything is to do as we have done, and contacted bank.

Hi All, just had Alistair on the phone to me as well using the name Alistair Bentley, telephone number 08450755874 and working for One 2 One Sales. Took him two days to get an offer for my timeshare!! So quickly google’d him because seemed too good to be true and obviously found his name on here. So grateful for this site.

  9. jackie says:

Yes just been called by a lady called Amy, telephone number 08450755874, say she is ringing from her compnay called one on one. She has says they have a another company interested in my timeshare, they are based in waymouth uk. Glad i didn’t fall for this all over again. Got onto your site straight away to see if there were any reports on this company and low and behold, there they are. Can’t belive people like this keep popping up.

  10. Debbie says:

I have been contacted by 1 on 1 sales, they knew all about my timeshare even though I haven’t advertised it anywhere. As I am desperate to get rid of both mine and my elderly mother’s timeshare I agreed for her to try and find a buyer. The following day she returned my call and said she had a buyer but I wold have to travel to Almeria in Spain for a face to face meeting. The dates given were 27/28 March which I said I was unable to do as my mother is having surgery.

I received another call on Monday this week offering me alernative dates in late April, I said I needed to check with my mother so she called me back today. I checked the name of the company with her and asked if this was a way to get me to buy an alternative timeshare or points and was ensured that it was not. I then informed her that my husband wanted to look into the company on the internet and she should call me back on Friday after we have done this.

Are there any honst timeshare resellers out there? I’d willingly give away both mine and my mother’s timeshare just to be rid of the burden?

    • Hi Debbie,
      Thanks for your comment.
Glad you did search the internet before paying any money or booking your flight to Spain for this “meeting” with a buyer that never shows up or simply doesn’t exist.
There are resale companies on the RDO website http://www.rdo.org and in case you use any other company just always keep in mind you should not be paying any upfront fees.
Some people here on the blog mentioned EBAY to put the timeshare on and other websites that advertise for free.
Have you spoken to the resort about surrender?
      Kind regards

  11. Martin says:

I have been called today by One on One sales – someone called Alastair Bentley on 0845-0755-874 who seemed to know that I had CLC points for sale. He said that he would hopefully get back to me either tomorrow or Friday with an offer. He stated that there would be no cost to me, as they just take commission from the buyer. Having been previously approached by another scam artist (Realm Travel Services) and smelled a rat before parting with any cash, I decided to check your website before going any further. I will keep you informed of the details of any further contact made.

    • Martin says:

True to his word Alastair Bentley called back today to say he had an offer from a corporate buyer for a price which was almost too good to be true. Having stated what I had paid originally, and the price I was prepared to accept, the offer was for the original price, some 40% higher than expected. He stated that all transactions took place on a face to face basis and we would need to fly to Las Palmas for the meeting. We were assured that flight and accommodation costs would be re-imbursed on completion of the sale!!! He very kindly arranged flights and accommodation for us!!! I asked him to confirm by email, which he has promised to do. If he does I will forward this to you. If it feels too good to be true, it probably is!!!

      • Thanks for the update Martin!
We have no doubt the costs of flights will be reimbursed, but for that you need to spent a “little” bit more money on the product they will offer you at this meeting in Las Palamas..
It sounds too good to be true, and it is too good to be true!
        Kind regards

  12. Alana says:

We were also contacted by one on one by phone a week or two ago about our timeshare in orlando. No deposit needed, they just take commission of the final sale. So of course we told them to go ahead and try to sell. We got a phone call back again yesterday to say thet they had a corporate buyer in benidorm and we had to be there 23rd-27th March for a face to face meeting and guarateed sale. This was followed up with an email with details. We pay our way over then get refunded when the sale is through. After trying for so long to get rid of the timeshare we started to have a look at flights as we are happy to finally get it sold. After some time thinking we think this is all happening a bit too fast and so started to search internet for info on the company, which brought us to this page. Think it all sounds too good to be true.

  14. Ian says:

Alistair Bentley called me Friday 09/03/12 with all the detail about my timeshare in Greece, he knew names on ownership, evertything relevant, told me he would call again today once he has floated the property, yes I got a call with an excellent offer, face to face meeting in Alicante on 27 / 278 March, all expenses paid, I have asked for it in an email (he had the address) still waiting, offer was around 20% higher than I expected. Have rung his number and to no suprise there is no answer, will keep you updated

  15. Chris says:

I have been called today by One on One sales – some called alastair bentley on 08450755874 who seemed to know about our timeshare. He has said that he can get us a good price for this and will be back in touch on Monday 12 March 2012 with hopefully good news. When I asked him how much this would cost he then replied nothing as they take just commission from the corporate buyer. Something did not seem quite right so I decided to search the internet for this company and low and behold it led me to this page showing a company running a scam. If I can help in any way to sort out these scammers then I hope this helps.

  16. bob carter says:

I was called yesterday by Half Moon Holdings saying that because the previous sale to an individual has failed they have now offered my RCI points to a company called Principle Travel for more money however, I have to pay a further 1690 euros for transfer and administration costs and then all will be refunded to me when the sale completes in the first week in April. They say they cant send the contract until this money is paid up front! However, today another call fron ‘Half Moon Holdings’ say that they have a buyer – ‘one on one sales’, who will be calling direct and they will purchase my points with no extra costs. I asked him to clarify any references, which he couldn’t and told him to call me back when he can authenticate who he is. Let’s see if he calls!
No real response from the website of one on one sales, so probably bogus! Thanks for a cracking forum medium, spent many hours reading about these scam companies. Now thinking of a way to recover my 1280 euros from HMH. Any ideas?

You may be interested to know about a new company called Eco Resorts Sales Limited…. they only require timeshare owners who they aim to trick from £60,000 down to £1,000. They promise to get rid of the timeshare but they cannot.
The usual suspects are behind this company ( ILG & PTG ) and they are called from Spain etc.
We went to a presentation and where scammed…. please warn your followers.
