What would you do if you had a prestigious company, with an excellent product on sale, and a recognized brand, and you realize that another company with a dubious track record in business is using without your permission your name and even pretends to belong to your organization? And the employees of this company speak to customers pretending to be working for your company?
What would you think in this situation knowing this other company is selling a product which generates hundreds of complaints but continues selling due to the fact they assure their customers they are connected to your company?
Looking at it like this, anybody would say that of course you would protest and complain to the highest powers to be to stop this, no?
Well, this is exactly what is happening for the past years with the so called brand “Turismo de Gran Canaria” and none of the authorities has been able to stop this!
For several years now, employees or the so called OPC’s from the group of companies Day International Marketing SL, Wunschurlaub SL, Lifestyle Holidays and several others, are day in day out talking to consumers in order to sell their product called Voyager Travel, pretending to be employed by the Gran Canaria Tourism Office!
These OPC’s are mainly situated in the areas with most tourism such as The Playa del Inglés and Puerto Rico, and they “harass” the tourists on the streets telling them they are doing a questionnaire from the Tourism Office and promoting the tourism in the area.
They literally tell the consumers “working on behalf of the Gran Canaria Tourist Office to promote the tourist”
Anybody would think this is unacceptable, but even worse is the fact that after engaging the consumer in their pitch they put them in a taxi which will take them to the sales centre in
Arguineguín, Club Puerto Atlántico, Avda Los Canarios 3. Once there they will be taken to a presentation which lasts for several hours (!) about the Discount Membership Club called Voyager Travel.
This Club promises large discounts on travel and other products. Promises that very rarely are true and by seen the numerous complaints from the consumers there is hardly anything to be called “discounted” in this club!
Most Tourists leave Gran Canaria totally devastated after this experience and feel cheated in a very bad way. Do you sincerely think this tourist will ever come back to the Island? Do you think they will recommend this destination with family and friends?
I sincerely think they will not and most probably they will tell their friends and family to keep away from this destination.
Authorities in Gran Canaria, for the sake of the good image of the Gran Canaria Tourism, ACT NOW!

I too was sold a 5 year worthless membership of voyager travel back in 2012 at the infamous club puerto Atlantico,Arguineguin, gran canaria and tricked into paying over 4000 euros, which i will never get back, The evil c**men who trick innocent trusting tourists out of their hard earned money should be made accountable for their crimes of fraud and theft, I have learned the hard way, I hope others are more lucky.
We are almost half way through payment. After reading this shoul;d we pull out. What chance of re-couping our losses?
i also bought into this, i feel ive literally been blackmailed, they got to me by telling me my already owned timeshare (weve had it for 10 years) was an illgal sale and that it would be continual debt for the rest of my life, that it would get worse, that i couldnt get out of it and it would continue on to the rest of my family when i die, they talked me ito joining voyager travel i paid 1000 euros up front to pay another 4000 over the next year for that they would legally get rid of my timeshare, we had to sign it over to them, so they have that as well, fortunately, trying to find out about them on the web when i got home brought me to this site and i have now had to cancel my bank cards to stop them getting anymore money, if i was you i would cancel my contract right now, dont be scared of them and take the advice this site can offer you and hopefuly we might get our money back, i am truely horrified by how this has came about and how frightened and bullied i felt to give into them, i wont let them get away with this, i will fight them all the way, good luck others.

Please via e-mail or here if possible and thank you mindtimeshare for support victims like this!
I have bought into this. It has cost me a lot of money. How do I get it back?
My wife and I have just returned from Gran Canaria and experienced a similar situation.
We were approached at Masspalomas beach and handed what i thought were two leaflets as we walked past. The guy then runs after you on the pretext that they need to complete their details so that they get their commission and open the card and of course surprise! you have won the star prize( I still have the cards that state they are to promote tourism iin Gran Canaria), which in this case was either a DVD player,1 weeks vacation or 600 euros.
Now normally I would simply walk on but the guy said he was working for the Gran Canaria tourist board to promote tourism and part of this was promoting such couples. He said we would be going to the Town Hall to be presented with our prize and it would only take about 20 minutes of our time. so I thought what harm can it do, so we went in the taxi.
We didnt have a clue where we were going but as you know we didnt go to any Town Hall, we were brought to the hotel in Arguineguin, at this stage I started to wonder?. We were asked a few details and told a British speaking rep would come and see us. A young guy then started to engage us in conversation and after about 20 minutes of general chat he mentioned “membership” of a holiday club called Voyager, then I realised what it was. We continued to listen for another 20 minutes as they had promised a return taxi, but when I looked around I saw lots of other couples beng shown all sorts of brochures and options and contracts.
I then told the young guy that there was no way I would sign anything on the day and therefore there was no point in any presentation, he was obviously shocked at this and said he needed to speak to his boss Brian.
We waited a few more minutes and told him that if Brian wasnt here soon we were going, taxi or no taxi,. Brian ( who was a big guy) introduced himself and asked what the problem was. We said there wasn`t a problem, it just wasn`t for us, and we wanted to go.
At this point he became quite aggressive verbally defending the process and what they were offering, we reiterated that we were not crtising this, we just wern`t interested, would not sign anything and were not interested.
It was only because we were strong people and as I deal with contracts every day, that they realised they would not get anywhere with us, but many others were further on in the process and probably got conned into parting with their money.
We were given a taxi back to Masspalomas and only lost an hour or so of our time but others obviously lost a lot more. We saw the guys still giving out the cards the next day.
Having seen how many people have been c***** by these people, why are the authorities in Gran Canaria not doing anything about it?
Is there an official address I can send a complaint to?
