A new alert goes out for a company called Hacienda Multiservices SL, which has started to cold call consumers with the dodgy pitch about money to be claimed from the Spanish Government.
In their phone call to the consumer they explain the Spanish Government has appointed them to call the timeshare owners and release the funds set aside for timeshare consumers after a court case against different timeshare companies.
Hacienda Multiservices SL has a website http://www.haciendamultiservicessl.com which was registered in November 2011.
They mention 2 different offices on their website, one in Spain and one in Portugal:
For Spain; Calle Rebeca 55, Urb. Camposol, Mazarron, 30870 Murcia
Mobile pone 0034 632 092 075
Portugal: Av. Da Liberade nº 194, 1250 – 147 Lisboa and telephone 00351 21 798 01 02
Email for both offices: email@example.com
After their initial call, the consumer receives an email (full of serious spelling mistakes!) where it is explained on how he can release the funds, with 3 options to take.
1. Arrange an appointment with the relevant representative at Ayuntamiento de Malaga (Townhall of Malaga), should you choose this option we would like to make you aware of the following; All non-residents must be accompanied by a qualified translator, the translator must be registered with the Spanish ministry of interior to comply with the regulations the cost of this will be 262€ per day + IVA. Your appointment will be made within 21 working days & you will be given 72 hours notice of the appointment time & date. Following the appointment you will receive payment in the form of a bankers draft within 23 working days which will be accompanied with the relevant Modelo 210 form for re-imbursement of costs/taxes incurred as a non-resident.
2. Appoint your own Abogado (Solicitor) whom must be registered with Colegio de Abogados to comply with the regulations, the cost of this will be 940€ per day + IVA, we must inform you that these costs are non-refundable, the process using this method would be concluded within 7-14 working days and you will receive payment in the form of a bankers draft which will be accompanied with the relevant Modelo 210 form for re-imbursement of costs/taxes incurred as a non-resident 24hours following the Abogado concluding the matter.
3. Settle the IVA that you are liable for by forwarding the payment to your nominated tax official as stated on Modelo 214. The payment will be made within 48hours in the form of a bankers draft which will be accompanied with the relevant Modelo 210 form for re-imbursement of costs/taxes incurred as a non-resident. This payment can be made via the
secure transfer system Western Union, the closest branch to your post code is; KILROYS, 5 HOWEGATE, HAWICK, TD9 0AA. The Western Union system works on formal identification, which means that both sender & recipient use the system with their own identification such as a passport. This offers greater security for both parties concerned.
Dear me!!! Who would ever go for the 1st or 2nd option? NOBODY! So let’s go for number 3 and pay by Western Union close to 2000€ in the name of an individual who supposedly works for the Spanish tax office in Malaga. Why Malaga? Was Hacienda Multi Service SL not based in Murcia? Travel 300 kilometers to Malaga if you have an office around the corner?
PLEASE be very careful with these people as obviously they are not connected to the Spanish Government, there is no money in funds waiting and never ever will the Spanish Tax office require upfront tax payments through a Western Union payment in the name of an individual!
Have you been called by Hacienda MultiServices SL from telephone 0034 632 092 075 ?
Please do let us know!
