Extra Time Online, bonus-week offers from a familiar provider

With the holiday season starting and consumers keen to book a cheap holiday, the Fly-buy week providers are very actively calling consumers for their “special offers”.

One of those bonus-week offers come from a company called Extra Time Online who cold calls timeshare consumers.

The agent also explains the benefits of becoming an “Elite Member” of this company which gives the consumer access to a set number of weeks discounted holidays a year and extra services that can be arranged through the “concierge team, aptly known as the angels”

As explained in the Terms and Conditions on the web: Extra Time Online charges for three separate membership packages, £199.99 for 1 year, £699.99 for 4 years 11 months and £999.99 for 4 years 11 months with the Elite+ Family pack.

So it is a membership?

But who is Extra Time Online? Where did they come from?

Their website ExtraTimeOnline.co.uk provides all kind of information about holidays and renting accommodation, there is a large display of known holiday companies and there is too much to mention.

Contact numbers are 0800 198 5001 for Customer Services, 0800 198 0022 for reservations and 0800 198 0005 for sales.

What isn’t explained on the website is the connection of Extra Time Online with Easy Consulting. Easy Consulting SL is also currently behind the following Fly – Buys which share the very same modus operandi: The Gift Company – www.giftcomp.com/index.php ; Bonus Week Breaks – www.bonusweekbreaks.co.uk  ; Extra Weeks – www.extraweeks.co.uk  ; Easy Weeks – www.easyweeks.co.uk   ; Extra Time Online-www.extratimeonline.co.uk   , Direct Resorts International –http://directresortsinternational.co.uk  , Resorts Direct UK http://www.resortsdirect.co.uk/holiday/contactus.php, Golden Grow Resorts, etc.

I have been harrassed by this compnay since 2011, even when I asked them to stop calling when I was under going chemotherapy they called and called. I have had one, expensive, holiday and booked one disasterous holiday from them (promised afull kitchen but only a microwave was available). No discount offered only more credits which I was not convinced were applied the next time I tried, and failed to book something.

I agree with previous comments, this company is very unpleasant to deal with and misrepresent their offers.

I also do not undersatnd how they can not offer a refund policy, which they don’t tell you, but can keep your money if you don’t , on reflection, want their product.

Extra Time Online is still active! And using another phone number once again. The number is 0800 950 6230
Do let us know if they contact you.

  3. Mark says:

Yep same stories as below for us and we bought a membership from ETOL. Also offered the £400 vouchers and spoke to Jordan too.

Same likes and cheats as mentioned below, same constant calls and same offers that never materialised.

DO NOT PAY THESE COMOANIES ANY MONEY, IT IS A COMPLETE SC**.

We obtained a full refund from our credit card company under the mid-selling act.

Thanks to MindTimeShare for their support too.

I have been etol member for 3years but have never used there service as have found to be very nasty people on the phone and if they do not like any genuine complaint they deal with it by putting the phone down on you.i was also told that they belonged to ABTA NOL9044 this is not technically true there travel desk is a member but extra time online is not a ABTA member so any membership fee you pay is not covered by ABTA so how many other people have been duped.

    • Nagi says:

Absolutely correct of what you said fr*** promises on sale, very bad manner of sale staff, cheaters, liers, not honest, zero service, paid upto now £3000 pound for elite package and for two years I did not get a penny back, their offers is double what in the market, be very very careful not to deal with them, I do not recommend them nor I encourage any body to believe in their promises. You are defently going to loose your money.

A few years back I ‘became’ a member of E.T.O-L. as a result of their link with The Gift Company. In January my wife and I decided we’d like to go to Sorrento for a couple of weeks in June. Thought I’d see what E.T.O-L. could do, as they asserted that they could always get better prices than on the ‘high street or the internet’. So I ‘phoned them and they said a ‘concierge’ would contact me. This turned out to be Dalton Travel, who are in Essex. I gave them our requirements (4-star bed and breakfast only) and they e-mailed after a couple of days with some options. The cheapest option was about £2,500 – and we are talking Italy here, not some far-off place like the Maldives! I did my own searches and came up with a total which was £700 LESS. Guess which deal I went for?!!! Today I had a ‘phone call from E.T.O-L. and I thought it might be a follow-up to see if I had arranged something with their ‘concierge’. No, it was to say I was now due to make the payment on the final up-grade. When I gave the story of what had happened I was told I hadn’t used ‘the system’ right. When asking what I should have done the person couldn’t provide an answer. He rattled on about the payment I HAD to make and I told him I would not and would have no further dealings with them ever again. He still rattled on and I had to put the ‘phone down on him. I would love them to take me to a Small Claims Court and then all could be revealed. If anybody out there has a mind to make a collective claim against them for mis-selling, mis-representation and whatever the Trades Descriptions Act will allow, count me in.

    • Grace says:

I have posted on this site before about ETOL. They took a payment of around £43 without authorisation late last year for a concierge fee. I didn’t know they could do this so I assume they must have kept a record of my debit card details. They are cold calling again after I have asked them to remove my details from their database. The latest **** appears to be that they’ll remove me from the database of all the holiday companies but only if I pay them £399 which then became £50. I told them to stop calling me, that I am not giving them a penny and would rather let the weeks expire. They are a nuisance, do not have any dealings with them.

      • Nagi says:

They tried that with me also, for that reason I have deleted the account and issued a new one, if at any time draw money from your account without your permission you are protected by the card provider to get your money back.

    • denby says:

      I am with you

    • Bonny says:

Count me in too. The wife has had cancer & numerous operations over the years & we obviously have not really had much chance to use this company. She has however made numerous payments to them & their sister companies & now she is getting calls telling her she now needs to pay them more money or they might have to get the debt collectors involved (they have in the past just taken payments off of her card with no notification). As far as I can remember, even when we have tried to use them in the past, we were able to get cheaper holidays ourselves & yet they still want money. Unfortunately the wife, under her medication, including morphine, does not always understand what is going on when I even try to tell her. I think I am going to have to field their calls & tell them to do their worst, as they have had enough money out of us over the years.

  6. Danny says:

Just had a call from ETOL requesting my credit card details so they could ‘repay money owing to me ‘ sounded suspicious as they have been pestering me lately for ‘concierge’ fees they said were outstanding ! have not responded and do not intend to. It all appears to be a big sc**. Am I right ?

  7. Martin says:

Had a call yesterday from some lady extolling the virtues of E.T.O-L. So, if you refer to my note of 31st August that didn’t last long! I asked why she had ‘phoned, bearing in mind what Julie had told me, and was told now that, whilst I have All Inclusive weeks, I could NEVER be removed! Asked her to cancel the All Inclusive weeks, but evaded that by harping on about how good E.T.O-L are. Said she would send an e-mail with links to look at their site. Surely, if they’re that good why hasn’t everybody heard of them and passed on ravingly good recommendations?

  8. Martin says:

Had a telephone call today from Julie (on 0203 500 9988) to say, for £499, I would get £500 worth of vouchers to spend on accommodation. What a bargain! What would I want to do that for?!!!!
Politely said ‘no thanks’ and she promised to take me off 32 telephone call lists. 32,- unbelievable!
    We’ll see.

  9. helen says:

Years ago I bought with my now ex huisband, timeshare weeks, however, after we split never used again. However, I kept getting phonecalls asking for me or my ex husband. Its seems they manage to con my eldest son ( he has a learning disability and is gullible) into parting with money because he told them he was MR Davis which was the truth. When I found out by chance, spoke to extra time all inclusive explained about his disability but they refused to refund.
Got letter today about extra fees have refused to pay as not used. If we do use this company then we pay for the Concierge Fees for that year. I don’t trust them at all and have found out that my Dear Gullible son h has been conned 3 times by the same company Bonus Breaks,
Extratime and All Inclusive an has paid a total of over 1200 Pounds for that he could have had a Luxury Holiday in The Caribbean. I have heard of Meon Travel their English Partner but never used them.

  10. Joyce says:

I have just paid them for the so called concierge service as they said i would otherwise have to pay them twice that to cancel. My late father bought a gift company voucher for me and foolishly i had his membership transferred to my name, seems they fooled me right and truly.

  11. Peter says:

How can this company, get away with there blatant fabrication of the truth, and not be brought to task.
There obviously cheats, And have been doing this for years.

  12. Gilldddd says:

Have just had a call offering 6 years membershipl £999 tho I only have to pay £500 and they will give me £500 jworth of vouchers. Listened to the chat then asked to them to call back as I wanted to research the company. Not going to touch them as they are linked with the Gift Company who I have paid rather a lot of cash to for weeks. Weeks they will no longer let me use as I am not married/in a couple and I no longer have timeshare. Unfair!

    • Bill says:

We have purchased membership with Extra Time Online as well as The All Inclusive Club. We were too busy to take a holiday in the first year of membership and so we tried in our second. The holiday that we had originally purchased in Malta we were now told they didn’t do anymore. We were told to try another resort. We asked about resorts in Egypt and were eventually given a price. Bear in mind our accommodation is paid for and all we have to do is pay for the food, the price was very high and we found out that we could get the same holiday, same flights same dates from a usual travel company for £13.00 difference. We asked them about this and they said that they never guaranteed to be cheaper (!!!) We gave them criteria then for another country and asked them to come back to us. They didn’t. We phoned and reminded them, they still didn’t get back to us. We left a message on their answerphone. Still no response. Now they have phoned me and asked for my yearly £39.00. If only their resort finding team were as good as their sales team. Watch out for them!

  13. Martin says:

Had a call today from Jemma of Extra Time Online. Gave me her telephone number of 0800 198 0005 x308. She was selling their ‘concierge’ service, saying they are now concentrating on being just a travel agency, with an ABTA bond. Needed a payment of £499, of which £400 would be paid back in the form of vouchers to use against a booking with them (which could be accomodation, flights, car hire, upgrades). Reckoned their prices are the best I’d get. Suggested I forfeited my Diamond Resorts points as they could get accomodation far cheaper than the cost of the annual maintenance. Anybody able give me guidance?

  14. Borthwick says:

This company also associated with Bonus Weeks Breaks, have had one holiday with them at very substandard accommodation attended the sales pitch for Holiday Club Membership got too much and walked out, no repercussions.
Tried to book our second week this year got good accommodation however once it was booked they said it wasn’t available, then settled for somewhere not as good, but again a few weeks before we were due to go it wasn’t available and given very substandard told them to keep our money and take out name off the database. We booked a nice hotel independently as we had out flights.
Tried to find somewhere on web to alert people to this company but found no where. So trying this site.
Don’t touch them with a barge pole. Booking accommodation is so easy do it yourself and have control and you don’t need to be involved with this lot.

  15. Pip says:

Hi I have been called today by The All Inclusive club twice. I did buy an extra time online membership at the end of 2010 to eliminate the expiry dates on my bonus week breaks, but have not used it due to personal circumstances. The first guy explain that my E T O membership was no good without upgrading to The All Inclusive Club at a cost of £399, which I said I didn’t have, asked why I had kept him on the phone by asking questions and wasting his time—– Said that he would delete me from their database and would cancel my E T O membership, which still has 3 years to run. I told him that he couldn’t do that unless he refunded me the fees paid.
At 7 30 pm received another call this time spoke to Matthew who couldn’t understand why I hadn’t taken them up on their offer, told I was going out and he is ringing again in the morning which I am not going to answer.

    • Pip says:

Hi, Have had my phone call today, from Jorden not Matthew. He got my surname wrong and had no idea as to what I had been offered Monday night, I politely declined his offer saying that if my E T O membership was no good as it was they should upgrade it for free, which he said couldn’t be done, so said bye and ended the call. He rang back and was quite rude about me wasting his time. and he hung up on me. Have checked to see if I can still login to the E T O wed site and can at the moment, as he said he would close my account with 3 years still to run.

  16. keone says:

all this talk has got me a bit concerned now. i am an elite member with extratimeonline and until just now was really happy.i have been on a few holidays with them as have my parents, always saved a small fortune and have been recommending to loads iof friends……didnt realise they were timeshare, i went on half board package holidays

    • diane says:

Pleased that that someone is satisfied as we were and we also saved money we are getting concerned about all negative reports. Found company helpfuld

  17. Grace says:

Has anybody heard of the ‘All Inclusive Club’? I have just been cold called.
Claiming to be a sister company to Extra Time Online offering to replace existing promotional weeks with more weeks but without the presentations, including flights for £399. Sounds familiar!
Based in Shepton Mallet UK, Jordan was very eager for me to take up his offer, only 2 places left he said. Sounds suspiciously like all the other bogus companies out there to me. Their website requires a username and password, no doubt only available when you part company with your £399. May be a genuine company but it’s set my alarm bells ringing, thought I ought to share.

  18. sue d says:

I am sorry to hear about Extra Time as i have some weeks to use. I have phoned them to book flights only with exelent service. Hope we have success with the weeks to chose. We will never go to another promotion again if we have to half hour then walk out they can’t stop you.

  19. PATRICIA says:

forgot to mention to above it had kingfisher club also as know you have mentioned kingfisher before !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. PATRICIA says:

we got calls from them paid 999£ to them still getting calls and hassle have we recieved our vouchers to use ,we are going to try and get money back as paid by mastercard ,but they are not the most pleasant to deal with once you tell them that,
another comment i am making is we booked to go to costa del sol ,with a travel agent on arrival at benal beach ,we were not booked there only 2 couples arrivivg that day,not in our name, fetched someone from elsewhere in building she took us to her reception area i saw sign above club la costa, she had us booked in there which was timeshare ,and i said had i known that i would not have gone as we have timeshare to sell, was disgusted not to have been told !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Martin says:

Yes, I’ve had a couple of calls from E.T.O., who referred to some weeks we still have available through The Gift Company. For a fee (which I can’t remember now) they said they would take over those weeks and then there would be no presentations to attend. Although the presentations are a hassle I said we can live with that and the weeks I have with The Gift Company have no expiry date (being V.I.P. weeks), which they disputed. I asked them to hold on the ‘phone whilst I went to get the paperwork but when I returned and picked up the ‘phone the line was dead. Funny that!

  22. Martin says:

I have been and still get calls from this company as i did buy 2 weeks holidays with them a few yaers ago and my daughterher boyfriend and i did go away last year with them. We stayed in what i believe is probably termed an”Aparthotel”. There is a reception area and desk but we were given keys to an apartment which was privately owned as the owner met us there and gave us the keys. The apartment was OK but not anywhere near what i expect in time share. Having said that it was in a perfect location for what we wanted so i overlooked the fact that it was not up to standard. We did have to atend a “promotional meeting” for a stated 1.5 hours which eventually took up 8HOURS of our time untill we demanded enough was enough and i was not going to take up the “offer” to get rid of my time share and join the club. I still had a week left to use but have decided not to use it as i really don’t want to put up with the high pressure sales from them again.
