BM Services, cold call with an invite to a meeting for Timeshare Disposal

Different name for a very same set up…the cold call for an invite to a meeting where the timeshare owner will meet up with a corporate buyer for his timeshare.

Yes one of those, BM Services cold calls the timeshare consumer and then sends off the emails reconfirming what was explained on the phone.

BM Services has a website which was created in March 2012, so a good 2 weeks old at the moment of this publication.

There are no company identifications on the website, no address, no indication where they are located and who they really are.

Telephone number 0203 582 0453 and email address is as far as one will get on contact details.

The email confirmation reads as follows:

“As stated in our telephone call, we are a marketing company working on behalf of a client that specializes in the sale of overseas investment properties. However, they have also been very successful in assisting people in the disposal of unwanted timeshare or points.

At your appointment you will be introduced to two ways of disposing of your unwanted timeshare.

·     The first will be a straight forward disposal service; they will explain how this works the timelines and the benefits you gain.

·     They will also introduce you to an investment opportunity that will allow you to dispose of your timeshare, receive an immediate above market return and generate a long term income.

As also explained in our telephone conversation they are so confident that their solutions will meet your needs, that if they don’t, they will pay your expenses (up to £100) for your travel and time on the day. All you have to do is listen and decide if either option is for you, if not, just claim your expenses.”

Well, if it was only that easy! Unfortunately this kind of email we have seen already so many times before, and all we got back from the consumers that actually went to these meetings was one same opinion: A complete waste of time!

The meeting is normally about an investment project somewhere far away, and for those not willing or not able to invest any money; well there is no such thing as a corporate buyer for their timeshare, and a lot of times there is not even such a thing as travel expenses paid!

So please before you take up this offer, do consider if you are willing to take the risk of wasting a lot of time.

Have you been called by BM Services from 02035820453 ? Please let us know!

I had a meeting with a Kevin Mitchell from the inspirations group at the Bewdley hotel, manchester airport.on the 16-4-2012.he took my wife & I for a total of £3000 & guaranteed we would be timeshare free. When we recieved our timeshare management fees for next year I tried phoning & e-mailing severa times. I am convinced this is a scam.
They even emailed saying the timeshare would be transferred soon & offered us a free week at their spanish resort. We have not heard anything from them, neither has the timeshare company we are trying to get rid off.My conclusion is that timeshare is a murky world of corruption & nobody associated with it should be trusted.

I have also been contacted by BM Services, who are a bit hard of hearing when I said I am not interested as I have had the same offer before,.
I also tried to dispose of our timeshare in Florida through a company called Capital Marketing part of the Essential Group, after paying them just under £2400 by credit card they then started the delaying tactics, things were going slow in America, had to employ new US attorney then no contact when we called them.
Luckily we did not lose any money as we made an indemnity claim to the credit card company.
There is no way out of timeshares we even offered it back to the resort free of charge.

Jenny, we to went to a meeting with the Inspiration Group at a hotel at the Nec on March 26th, it was very busy with people all telling the same stories of being stung by other calls and hoping like us to get rid of our timeshare. We were’nt given any speil about running other businesses like before but for the price of £1350 they would get rid of it for us, like a previous writer we to had a mistake on our contract, was this deliberate?, we got this put right by continual phoning, but have had very little contact from them since , all kinds of excuses, we are now very afraid this is a scam and are going to contact our timeshare people to see if they have any knowledge of what is going on.Will keep you in touch with what happens.

We were contacted by BM Services (or rather a marketing company) calling on their behalf last week). The website is as you suggest. On examination of their terms and conditions of sale/commission, interestingly they relate to nothing more than the terms and conditions of their website…

Having already lost over £1000 trying to sell a timeshare I am grateful for having read this post. It would seem the only option is simply to stop paying management charges, ignore any correspondence and simply led your time share disappear into the ether.

I guess you say we had some good times for a few years and put the rest down to experience as on reflection it seems the most cost effective option….

Just got off phone with Kiki Barrow. Very nice lady with all the spin and advice to protect me from companies who want any up front payments, companies who visit your home, etc.. So seems like have best interests at heart however I am only going to see what they send as having read this link etc there is no easy way out. She did qouote Martin Lewis but can’t find anything on his site?

  7. Anne says:

I have just had cold call from B M Services London, I asked where in london they were and Kiki Barrow told me just around the corner from Canary Warf. They said the same as all of these marketing companies. saying that they are working for an offshore investment company. Also that they had heard of Mr Garcia of Mindtimeshare and that he was paid to have this site. The interview is to be in Bristol. they will send an e mail with all the details. Has anyone had a call today?

  8. Chris says:

We have had a call from a company called The Inspirations Group to attend an appointment with a view to dispose of our timeshare.

They offered to take our timeshare ‘off our hands’ for good if we paid them almost £4000.00.

Has any one else heard of this company and is this a genuine way of getting rid of a timeshare?

    • Pat says:

We have just been to a meeting along with lots of other people, we and most of the others have gone with the company- its cost us £3000. They have made a mistake on the contract and are sending us another one in the post. WE cant find anything bad about them on the internet- but havnt found anything good either only thing about them we have found is their website – not too old either. We may have made another big mistake I dont know yet. They have all of our deeds and timeshare documents.Watch this space

      • Hi Pat,
        Thanks for your comment.
Please yes keep us updated as we want to know all about this company, and what they offer.
        Kind regards,

I have just met with The Inspirations Group at a Luton Airport Hotel. We agreed to a meeting following a phone call where we confirmed that we would not be paying anything.
After about 10 minutes we were shown a projection of what our maintenance fees would be over the next 10 years and it was apparent that they would be asking for a payment of around 4 years maintenence to them to buy us out. We walked out. I checked out their so called UK address and the building houses 2 law firms but they are not listed as being in that building. The only UK registered companies that sound like Inspirations group were disolved some time ago. The web site and domain was only set up in october.
The people that I met had just flown in from Spain for the meetings and reminded you of typical “time share salespeople”.
I am not sure how they work things but you could imagin a scenario where they take your money into a company, transfer the timeshare into that company, fold the company and keep the money.

      • Barbara says:

We are in the same situation as yourselves.

    • Mrs Barbara says:

Hi we have just been to a meeting on Friday 25th may with THE INSPIRATIONS GROUP and paid £1,150.00 half payment the other half to follow on completion hope we have done the right thing – not sure.

I was contacted by BM Services Offices in scotland Bristol and Tunbridge Wells, same places as unique solutions and the same offers, spooky!!

  10. bigtp says:

I think there has been a slight misspelling of their name, it should be BS Services!
This is exactly the same confirmation email that I had from Lombard Services. They they wrote a cheap letter on 80gsm paper with no colour to re confirm the key points.
This approach sadly does work though, otherwise they would not still be doing it would they?
Woudn’t it be wonderful if these con men could be shut down forever…hey I know that would be a perfect world!
But one day, I live in hope!

    • Hiya,
Thanks for your super quick reply to this new blog!
No, it’s BM Services…well at least on this one as the web is also BM Services, but of course there would be no surprise if there is also a BS Services doing the same thing.
We’ll have a look for you.
They all use the text of the same email and as you say, sadly it must be a formula that works.
We just hope that with our warnings some people will be warned..
      Kind regards
