Financial Recovery Services, cold caller offering to make assessments for timeshare consumers..

A lot of inquiries received this week about the company Financial Recovery Services which is cold calling and offering to do claims for the timeshare consumers who have “timeshare issues”

Not always they seem to know what the timeshare consumer owns, but when speaking to Club Class members they kindly inform them Club Class went into liquidation and for other memberships they twist the story and offer to claim anyway.

Financial Recovery Services don’t ask for money in the first call, but when a timeshare consumers shows interest they kindly send more information and then a follow up call.

They ask for receipts/ proof of how much the timeshare owner paid for the Timeshares and when.
There will be though a 10% disbursement fee which will be claimed back. They feel it is fairer than a No win/No fee claim.

Financial Recovery Services explains that they claim from the financial institutions who have 120 days to answer the claim. They told a consumer their claim would be in a batch of 49 others.
The agent from Financial Recovery Services indicates also they may settle out of court.

Their address is: Office 1351,Henry House,275,New North Rd,London.M17AA. Tel: 0207 183 1763 and Fax 0207 183 1125

Email: contactus@financialrecoveryservices.org
Their website is www.financialrecoveryservices.org and was registered on the 3rd of May 2012

The fact that Financial Recovery Services ask for a 10% disbursement fee, their only recent registration on the web, and the cold call approach, makes us think that consumers should be very cautious when dealing with this company.

They have called me as well, they are offering a free assesment of my situation with Club Class and have asked me to email all my documents to them. I told them I had done some research on them and the guy I spoke to was not phased in the slightest, in fact he said it was good that I had looked into it. He told me that I would have to pay if I wanted to go ahead with the claim but they would give me information so I could go to my own solicitor if I wanted to. Was supposed to forward the documents to them over the weekend but was too busy, they have called twice a day and left messages. Should I send them stuff and let them look over it?

I have been called by this company. They want to put my claim in the next batch of 50. I sent them copies of some documents and they say that I have a claim under ‘misrepresentation’ and ‘high pressure selling’. They want to me pay upfront some £2000 to start the recovery process. They are going to send me the details by e-mail.

Can anybody recommend what I should do with this company? If you Google map their address, it shows a shop on New North Rd !!
