A new alert goes out for a company called Star Promotions who has only recently started their cold call campaign.
Star Promotions claims to be based in Calle Ortega y Gasset 717, 29680 Estepona, Malaga, Spain.
The informative 2 page document they send out to the consumer after the initial cold call explains who they are and what they can do for the customer.
The company history seems all to be down to the owner Mr. James who came to the coast in 1990 and started up a small real estate company and since the year 2000 he is focusing on timeshare resale.
Surprisingly such a blooming and successful business has not seen the need to set up a website and they only provide a telephone number 0845 8699 81 and an email address: starpromotions@realtyagent.com
Star Promotions reassures in their information that there won’t be any fees upfront.
From our point of view, a company that cold calls, sends out dubious information material and has no website for a supposed successful real estate office with 10 staff and no registration details of the Spanish Companies House, is a company to handle with a lot of caution!
So please if you are called by Star Promotions with phone number 0845869981 be very careful and do let us know.

I have had a cold call frm a company didnt get there name, they said they were working to get back my money frm ILG, i did ask were they got my info frm they said frm dwvc, they said there is money waiting to be re-paid frm spanish goverment….( hahaha what a joke) so i let him waffle on.. asked if he had heard of MINDTIMESHARE.. he had and procceded to tell me that they were a scam and all they try to do is get money back for you by getting you to pay out for solicitor, an told me to look up MINDTIMESHARE reviews….i then told him i had visitor he would not go… told him i had my money back an laughed at him… still he would not give up said he can get back at least .. wait for it….£15.000 for our re-claim cert… laughed at him again an he said someone would come to our house an talk us through it !!! I said if its worth talking about put it on paper let me read it….eventually i hung up… NOW THEY WANT TO FILTER INTO YOUR PRIVATE PROPERTY…… over my dead body…. just thought you should now, wish i cud of taken more notice of names and company’s. Sorry.
