Have you been called by KSM Solutions for a resale?

An apparent new company by the name of KSM Solutions has started their cold calls this week.

KSM Solutions from Duke Street, Reading, Berkshire RG1 4SA cold calls timeshare consumers with the news that they have a buyer for their timeshare membership.

The telephone number from KSM Solutions is 0118 3842131 and they are registered at the UK Companies House under the number 06406128 although the address is not the same.

After the normal pleasantries the agent from KSM Solutions sends out the confirmation email with the details of the supposed upcoming resale.

In this email it is explained that the timeshare owner will need to pay “liability insurance”. This insurance seems to differ between customers and we have seen request for amounts ranging between £650 and £1200

Unfortunately it seems that KSM Solutions is not aware of the European Timeshare Directive where taking upfront fees for timeshare sales has been banned.

Between the cold call and the upfront fee request we recommend consumers to be very cautious when dealing with KSM Solutions

    Hi Alberto just to let you know that ksm took £1200 pounds told me they would send me the money by bank transfer on the 12/09/2012 i recieved a phone call on that day to say they needed £2000 pounds to pay the spanish taxes i told them not a dogs chance can i report this to the police,trading standards and companies house

I know you are busy but could you possibly do that please for my elderly parents who have unfortunately lost a considerable amount of money to these unscrupulous people. I would be very grateful.     I tried to find address on google maps and i couldn’t find that number either!
    Looks like we might be in same situation as you as my stepfather gave over his credit card details over the phone as well. He’s 84 years old and doesn’t hear very well and getting very forgetful. My mother was out when he did this but he doesn’t remember doing it!! All such a mess but they shouldn’t have taken any money anway, otherwise what was the point of sending out paperwork to be signed! We’ver cancelled the credit card now.
    I’m just hoping that the European Timeshare Directive, where taking upfront fees for timeshare sales has been banned, is recognised by the credit card company.

    My mum was contacted about a month ago by KSM. She thought she paid £120.50 they took £1280, we cancelled her card straight away. I phone them they told us it was euro exchange rate, Within days she received contracts, she signed it and returned it, we had nothing to loss.
    On Tuesday we received another contract but asked to sent it to new address in bebbington, in the letter they blamed the post office sorting office. We did this and sent it recorded. Next day a man phoned my mum from the address in bebbington, Saying that he received a number of letter addressed to KSM, but he was worried as he had not heard of them and they where using his address for fraudulent use. We have now contacted Trading Standards and “Action Fraud” the police.
    Please don’t touch them, if you have contact Trading Standards who were great help….

      Hi Wendy,
      You will see by my previous post I have had the same problem as you with my parents! We have cancelled the card too and informed credit card company and opened up a dispute. My parents had £1,390 taken. They spoke to a lady and also a man called Michael Westman. The telephone number they gave and also on their headed paper is unobtainable when you ring it. They received paperwork to sign which is when we reaslised they had taken the money. The address on their headed paper is Kingsway Sales & Marketing Ltd, Bishops House, 238 High Street, Slough, Berkshire SL1 1JU. I will contact Trading Standards and Action Fraud too.

        Action fraud told us that the slough address, is not right too, as the road stops at 236 high st. That all address are not there, this will help when you speak to the bank and credit card companies, my mums bank are not helping us. because mum gave them her card details, trading standrards said ask about “Charge back scheme” and because the contracts didn’t reach the KSM we may have a case.

        Hi, my elderly parents have had £1,300 taken from their credit card by this company. We tried to ring them but a message says”the number dialled has not been provisioned” (whatever that means)! We have today opened up a dispute with the credit card company but don’t hold out much hope as it was my step father who gave his credit card information out over the phone to a “nice sounding Michael Westman”!

        What a mess!!
