Another resale company has started cold calling, this time by the name of Turner & Co properties.
The cold call is to talk with the timeshare owner about the fact he has his membership for sale, and to tell him that Turner & Co has actually buyers waiting to purchase timeshare memberships.
Great news, because they even have buyers for DWVC and Club Class Memberships, which normally are not the most successful ones for a resale.
After the “verbal” offer on the phone, Turner & Co sends of the paperwork by email, where they kindly explain all the “ins and outs” of the sale and also the fact that they need to request an upfront fee as a guarantee the seller will not pull out of the sale.
Which DWVC owner would want to pull out of a sale where he is going to receive thousands of pounds for his membership?
Turner & Co Properties do not have a website. Strange, as one would expect that a company selling timeshare at least needs to advertise what they have on sale…how do buyers find them?
Their address is Calle de Eugena Vines 187, Valencia, 4800
And contact telephone: 08701 829 773
The upfront fee consists of Legal & Deed fees and the corresponding VAT or IVA as this is called in Spain. Surprisingly Turner & Co asks for IVA because they are not registered as a company at the Spanish Companies House, so under which company are they paying taxes?
Regarding the upfront fee, they do assure the timeshare owner the money will be placed into an “escrow” account which has been opened in the timeshare owners name… Without having his details? The money is to be paid by bank transfer to an account in La Caixa bank under account name TCP.
Bank transfer is a payment method that is not protected the same as a credit card payment, so asking for a refund won’t be an option..
Seen the above, cold call, guaranteed sale, upfront fees and no registration. We think consumers should be warned about this company and be very cautious to say the least when dealing with Turner & Co Properties from 08701829773
