Leisure Alliance Plc. A different name for sales and management of the Club Class product.

It was to be expected and nobody will be surprised to read this, but of course Club Class after the latest news  is now trading under one of their names that haven’t been mentioned many times before like the others; Leisure Alliance Plc.

If we had Club Class Holidays, Club Class Concierge, Club Class International, Club Class Services Sarl, etc. …now the active sales decks in both Tenerife and Fuengirola have started to produce the agreements under the name of Leisure Alliance Plc.

The explanation for this as far as we can see, is that this will be the new “strategy” of Club Class to continue with their business but using different names to confuse the public and the authorities.

As many other brands we know from Club Class Group, Leisure Alliance Plc – www.leisure-alliance.com – has their address in Gibraltar P.O.Box 847, Garrison House, Library Ramp, Gibraltar.

Have a look at a previous blog we wrote about this address: http://wp.me/p1kmoi-cP

The Company Leisure Alliance Plc was registered  years ago though in the Seychelles.  So for those in need to communicate or claim anything from Leisure Alliance Plc, it won’t be an easy task to get hold of them!

Telephone numbers in the purchase agreements are 00350 200 63198/63481/63482

But on their website, in the contact page there are so many other “familiar numbers:

Numbers for their so called Promotion members: 0870 770 5302, +34 952 922 505 and fax +34 952 922 506

And for their Premier Members: +34 952 46 44 66, 0870 224 7991, +34 952 199 239, 0870 224 7994 and fax +34 952 666 093

What doesn’t change is the product they sell, a dubious Discount Travel Membership Club with bookings to be arranged through Premiere Travel.

The copies of the agreements we have seen also mention ITRA included.  It is not very clear where that came from and we suppose it is possibly a slip of the “pen” when copying a contract from Club Class, but certainly another indication that all remains the same, and although they are using a different name, the rest hasn’t changed a bit.

A concerned consumer who emailed the Customer Services department about her Club Class Concierge membership and what will happen now that the 7 clubs will be wound up as per the court order, was told the following:

“We wish to inform you that the Club Class Holiday and Lifestyle Club is now being administered by Leisure Alliance Plc, having taken over responsibility from its previous owners in an effort to re-launch the club´s brand and enhance its international profile.

Please fully understand that the implementation of this new management company will in no way affect your existing holiday and lifestyle club membership with its entitlements and benefits or any of the obligations outlined within your original agreement to purchase.

All websites will remain fully functional, as will the services of Premiere Travel S.A; the clubs Spanish bonded travel agency and service providers.

Leisure Alliance Plc would like to welcome you to their world and will be contacting you shortly with more exciting news that will further enhance your membership experience.”

New Management Company? Taken over responsibilities? Will welcome you? What is that all about? These are all the same people! Are they trying to confuse consumers and pretend they are in “new” and “safe” hands?

As you can see, Club Class has no intention to stop doing their “dubious” business, and they have no intention to stop the activities which have been denounced by the Insolvency Service and resulted in the wound up of 7 of their companies. 7 closed down, but so many other active or to be activated for as long as the Spanish and British authorities let them continue with this.

If you are a Club Class member and you would like to know the possibilities of doing a refund claim for money paid by credit card, please let us know.

A lot of consumers have already obtained their refund successfully!

My husband was contacted by excalibur in January offering to sell our timeshare for a fee. He paid this fee on his credit card. After 4 months of excuses he is claiming the money back via the credit card company. As soon as he did this on 24th April we received a letter from Leisure Alliance stating we owe 5 years worth of fees but could close our membership for a set fee. This they can whistle for as we are not parting with any more money. My husband has now been contacted by a Stephan Parker from Online Leisure Breaks – Southampton (I cannot find any record of this company anywhere) who has offered to buy our timeshare if we give him the global surrender form. In return he would deposit 13,000 in my husbands bank account straight away (he keeps asking for his bank account details). It’s all to good to be true me thinks, again he can whistle as we are parting with nothing else. Has anyone else been contacted by this man he is very persistent.

    • John says:

I too have been approached by this man wanting to buy holiday club membership.Currently we have an impasse with the validity of the “transfer form.
Curious how he will tackle this.

  2. barry says:

today I received in the post a letter from(LEISURE ALLIANCE) about fees dating back to 2009 amounting to £570 I also got a phone call after the post after long chat and expletives later I told him it was a scam I was told expect bailiffs do these people never give up

    • Chris says:

Have you actually had any contact from bailiffs or debt collectors as we are going through all these threats at the moment.

  3. Mary says:

Just had email from claims@leisure-alliance.com offering to claim back our money from club class concierge these are the same people who not long ago emailed me looking for membership fees for the past three years have you any idea what is going on. (Confused)

  4. Michele says:

We have also recently been bombarded with calls and letters from Leisure Alliance Plc and have today received a letter stating we are “SERIOUSLY OVERDUE’ with our subscription fees and that they will be instructing debt collectors to deal with the matter. As stated previously, I am pretty sure that you would have to obtain a court order to instigate this and it would seem to me that they are making up as they go along. It’s got to the point where I would welcome going to Court to have the opportunity to relate our side of this ridiculous saga.

  5. Paul says:

Just had an email from Club Class asking for annual subscription……why cant they just crawl back under the rock they came from and why don’t the spanish police do more to close these people down once and for all

  6. john says:

Just received a letter to say payment SERIOUSLY OVERDUE., from CLUB CLASS, administered by LEISURE ALLIANCE PLC , for outstanding annual subscription debt to the tune of £605. Having previously contacted the FRAUD SQUAD and been assured this is a c** , needless to say I will not be paying any money, and would advise people with similar problems to contact the POLICE, if enough people do it, only then we may see an end to all the phone calls and demand letters.

  7. Mandy says:

I have received phone calls and a letter from Club Class Holidays demanding £550 for membership arrears and a cancellation fee. I phoned the Insolvency Service and was told this was utter rubbish from Club Class and have emailed a complaint to David Hill at the Insolvency Service. When they phone I tell them they are sca***** b@@@@rds and they’re not get a penny after all the Company no longer exists even though the website is still up with a warning and a list of Companies con**** people ino paying membership fees. My letter was from Clubclass themselves, explain that one. Fecking mumpets!.

  8. pip says:

Just recieved this email asking for money ! stay away from them

  9. Elizabeth says:

We were duped by Club Class Holidays in 2003 and subsequently terminated our membership in 2009 and recently had a telephone call from someone in club class demanding subscription money from us for the past threeyears! Today we received a threatening letter asking for more money! will this ordeal never end!

    • Brian says:

My wife and I fell victim to the ‘Club Class/Leisure Alliance/Premiere Travel/Reclaim Ltd’ scam via Holiday Warehouse in Tenerife in January 2006 at a cost of £10,500. It all started to go horribly wrong after returning home and the ‘Membership Pack’ arrived (although the cashback/reclaim certificate never did) and we found that things were not as they seemed. We wrote to all companies concerned without success advising that we wished to cancel the agreement and receive a refund of our monies – even revisited Tenerife later that year to confront Holiday Warehouse staff only to find the company had ceased trading (?) and the premises occupied by another version of the same setup (I even approached the lady that sold us the membership (Rosemary) all to no avail and was escorted off the premises by a few heavy and unseemly characters!

We have been plagued by persistent cold calls from a variety of organisations claiming to be able to represent our interests in reclaiming the monies paid/reselling the membership and we have managed not to get drawn in again. Just lately, we have been receiving telephone calls from Club Class chasing up outstanding annual membership fees from 2008, reminding us that the contract is in perpetuity and if we don’t pay, they’ll sell the debt on to a debt recovery firm (my wife is petrified that we’ll have bailiffs knocking on the door any day even though I have assured her that to be able to do that, they need to secure a judgement against us in a court of law. The people contacting us (phone/email) are Philip Hill – Club Class Membership Dep’t and Maxwell Hamilton – Membership Collections Department Manager – Club Class Plc (“If we do not hear from you within the next fourteen days we will have no alternative than to commence with further debt collection procedures. This will include instructing out debt collection agents to recover this debt”).

When I challenged him regarding the winding-up order, Phil Hill denied that was the case but informed me that they will be marketing their ‘product’ under the Leisure Alliance banner in the very near future to ‘get away from this association with unscrupulous operators that keep getting linked to Club Class!!

How do we make them go away without laying them yet more money?

      • ian barron says:

I have been contacted by a company called EXCALIBAR, 23 algarrobo,29750, Malaga. They say they can sell my club class membership for £13,450. All I have to do is give them £1350.00, which they assure me will be returned to my credit card on completion of sale. I will give them nothing I just thought it may be a name you have not got on your books. there telephone number is 08712311241. I have just rung the number and a voice said “sorry the number you have called is currently unavailable”
        Ian. B.

    • Garry says:

I was also duped in 2005 they rang me telling me I owe 5 years membership for never using clubclass I refused so they told me I would be put on credit black list so I could never get credit how when I was conned

  10. ian says:

I went to leisure alliance in fuengirola for a sales talk, I mentioned club class to them and they said that club class were no longer in business (because of there dubious sales methods and not delivering the savings that they said they could get.), but on the wall in there office was a poster with club class concierge written in the bottom left hand corner. when I pointed this out to the sales person he said he would ask the manager, a few minutes later he came back and said he didn’t know why it was there but that my interview was over and that I would be taken back to my hotel straight away.

  11. Pete says:

I’ve already had a very kind offer of 28 days free trial of their wonderful service as a lapsed Club Class member – followed up by a phone call to which they were told we were out.
I now believe in the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, Big Foot and all the other magical wonders – well they are more believable than trusting in whatever Club Class’s new regime is now.
