Bright Enterprises, working with the OFT for claims against timeshare companies..

Bright Enterprises is a new cold caller, well they claim to have obtained the personal contact details through other companies, but the companies they mention such as First4date are not exactly recommendable sources.

Bright Enterprises contact the timeshare owners to inform them that they are working with the Office of Fair Trading for claims against Holiday Clubs such as DWVC. The OFT would have instructed Bright Enterprises to gather the names of the consumers who are victims of these clubs and ask them for their paperwork. The paperwork will then be given to a legal advisor who will assess if the consumer has a valid claim.

Surprise surprise, everybody up till now can claim as per Bright Enterprises!

After a couple of days they contact the timeshare consumer again with the news that a claim would be feasible and an amount is mentioned in the region of £30.000 which the owner could claim.

But…there is always a but, in order to initiate this claim the timeshare consumer will have to pay upfront £2300

He might be able to pay this in 2 installments, but bottom line is that Bright Enterprises needs this money upfront.

Bright Enterprises address is   The Shop on the Green Datchet, Slough, SL3 9EA

Telephone: 0203 608 5907 Fax: 0203 328 7778 and email: contactus@brightenterprises.co.uk

Website www.brightenterprises.co.uk

The website was registered at the end of July this year.

Bright Enterprises claims to be a registered UK company, a “Ltd”.  Although for the ease of use they don’t mention this on the main web details. We so far have not found any company under this name registered at the UK Companies House and neither is there a mention of a registration number on the web.

The cold call, the supposed contact details obtained from other dubious companies and the story about the claim with the substantial upfront fee, don’t really provide a secure picture of this company and we would recommend to be very cautious when dealing with them!

If you have been contacted by Bright Enterprises from 02036085907 in Slough, then please let us know.

Cold called today by a Mr Cockroft of this company who then sent an e-mail with a pro forma to sign detailing payment of £377.50 if I wished to proceed with the claim. This money can only be paid using an insured card A follow up call later in the day from Alice Pemberton to explain more and to answer any questions. Apparently they are an offshore company registered in the British Virgin Islands, reg. number 5534397. Also say that no money can be claimed using the cash back certificate. Claims are made through a Gibraltar institution and money recovered can only be paid into banks either in Britain, Spain or offshore. The connection with Gibraltar raises suspicions .

I have this week been contacted by first4date who passed my details onto Bright Enterprises, who have given me the ‘the very convincing chat’ about how they can get all my money back based on the Reclaim Certificate and how 8% compound interest will be added to the value of the certificate etc, however in order for them to proceed I will have to pay out an initial sum of £1,249 to cover the cost of a Dispursement Report which covers a background check on the property (timeshare) and Merchant providers………..as my husband and I have already been stitched up by ILG and the Reclaim Certificate we are NOT pursuing this route.
we had also been contacted by a company called Saliveras based in Spain who had stated they could claim back 69% of our certificate value, but had to pay a small amount (admin) for them to obtain an NEI number as under Spanish law we HAVE to pay Spanish taxes!! And we would be put in the high tax bracket but would be able to claim it back…….yeah right
This is all getting beyond a joke, and as much as I would like my money back we have both accepted that we can kiss this money good bye and will not pay any money upfront to any company claiming they can get our money back.
Is there anyway that we can successfully get all or part of the monies owed on our Reclaim Certificate, and is there any company out there who is honest enough to do this for us.
Any Advise will be great fully received

Claim to be working with the OFT ? Another webpage informs that they also do PPI claims and other claims against the banks. I would suggest that you may wish to report this matter to the Ministry Of Justice since to take claims of this nature they need to be authorised by the Ministry Of Justice. If they are not authorised the MoJ will make them take down their website !
