Eureka Property Services, a meeting invite for disposal of Timeshare

A new cold caller has appeared by the name of Eureka Property ServicesEurekalogo

Eureka Property Services cold calls timeshare consumers and offers them to relinquish their timeshare.

In order to do this relinquish the Timeshare Owner has to attend a meeting, which will take place in their area.

LATEST UPDATE: Summer 2013 Eureka is doing meetings in Birmingham and East Midlands Airport.

Supposedly during this meeting the Timeshare Owner will be give straight forward advice on how to relinquish. And even better, if he decides to take up this offer he will be refunded the current’s year maintenance fees.

Eureka Property Services has a website www.eurekapropertyservices.com which was registered in September 2012.

They do mention though on the web that they have been established as a legal property service since 2002 and dealt with guaranteed disposals and Pension reviews successfully.

Strange we only just heard about them and they have been all these years without a website…

On the website they provide two addresses, one in the UK and one in Spain.

Spain Office: Avenida Cuidad de Melilla, Cjto Plaza Mayor 3, 29631 Malaga Spain. And UK office: Dalton House, 60 Windsor Avenue SW19 RR London.

Contact details, Phone UK:  0203 393 3174 and 0203 519 3369

Spain +34 918 38 38 23

Email: info@eurekapropertyservices.com

Investigations have revealed to us that this company has connections with another Claims Company that has been active recently and was cold calling consumers offering legal services.

The cold call and the meeting to discuss a relinquishment which could be discussed by phone, makes us believe there might be another reason to invite consumers over.

We therefore suggest that all who have been invited by Eureka Property Services and is attending this meeting to be cautious and not make any decision on the day.

If you have been contacted by Eureka Property Services from 02033933174 in London, we would like to know.

If someone or a company cold calls you claiming to have a buyer with thons of cash ready to hand over it to you, be careful. These companies will usually ask you to pay for fees in advance and later on you will discover that this buyer never existed. These companies make their money from people trying desperately cancel a timeshare. Remember that to cancel a timeshare you don’t have to pay an upfront fee.

To ALL that have interest in EUREKA. They seem to have closed the Spanish office in Mijas. Staff not paid in September and have walked out at end of month. I have been to the office and spoke with next door café. There are papers scattered around on desks but no-one in. No answer to phone or e-mails. The ship is deserted.

I have yesterday 6 August, received a follow up email from Anita Robinson of Eureka Property services. This was a thank you for attending on the 2 August, acknowledging my reasons for not using their services but also offering their services in the future should I change my mind.
They have acted very professionally to date but I am afraid I am loath to part with any money until I see some results confirming that they can do as they say! I would like to know how Keith who posted on the 17 April fairs at the end of the year. Good luck!!

  4. E says:

I would like to know a straight answer is this a fraud or not?

  5. Keith says:

Keith from Winchester. Just received a Cold Call from Julie inviting me to a meeting at Lyndhurst in t6he New Forest on 16 or 17 August. Very little details given over the telephone.

  6. MartinB says:

I was cold called by Anita Robinson, on behalf of Eureka Property Services a fortnight ago.
She said she was calling from their London office.
She offered me an appointment to meet with their sales team at the Hilton Hydro, Dunblane, today 2nd August 2013.
I was told I would not be expected to pay anything and if I agreed to relinquish my time-share ownership I could expect a refund of this years management fees. I agreed to attend and she sent an email confirming the details.
They called this morning at 10.30am to confirm I would be attending. I stated that I would.
At the meeting I was met by two of their representatives I gave them the information regarding my time-share and my reasons for disposal. They were very understanding and we discussed the time-share market and maintenance fees.
At the end of the day they were looking for 5 years maintenance, discounted to 4 years because I had travelled to the meeting, a cost of £2,485, nearly half of what I initially paid for it.
Their contract was clear and concise but they wouldn’t let me take a copy for perusal at home.
They told me they would be there tomorrow 3rd August 2013 and if I wished to return the next day I could.
There was no pressure from them at all.
I would like to hear from anyone who has used their services successfully!

      Addendum To the above:
I have just remembered that they wanted payment by either: Visa or Mastercard so the client had the security of getting their money back if Eureka relinquished on their promise.

  7. Steve says:

I have been contacted 3 times from this company, i have had the Email & they just wont leave alone. Driving me potty

  8. Ann says:

I’ve been called by Eureka Property Services today and followed up by an e-mail and they say they will call me back in a few days. This is looking like another dodgy deal reading comments above. Has anyone else been to a meeting and can tell their experiences?

  9. Don says:

    No E-mail yet!

  10. Simon says:

Have just been contacted from 0203 519 3369 to attend a meeting at the Hilton hotel, East Midlands airport this Saturday, 6th April at 4pm. Awaiting further details from Eureka.

    • Evelyn says:

Would really like to know how you got on if you went- we were due to attend but couldn’t. Are due to go to a meeting this Saturday in Birmingham.

      • Keith says:

WE went along as said earlier and paid. We now have an e-mail to say that they will be responsible for all costs from now although not transferred the details to anyone yet. Watch this space when the maintenance bills come in in December.

    • Ray says:

      Hi Simon,
Did you go to the meeting, and if so do you mind letting me know, what the outcome was.
I am due to meet with them on Saturday in Birmingham
      Ray

      • MartinB says:

This is for Keith, Would you be kind enough to post the outcome of your dealings with Eureka at the end of the year. I await the results with great anticipation.

      • Keith says:

I have been to the Spanish office and given all the details asked by my timeshare management, 6 weeks ago. Not heard anything back since but told that they had a named purchaser yet to be disclosed to me. Yes, as soon as any further developments arise I will keep all informed.

  11. Keith says:

I went along to the “Presentation” at Gatwick on Friday. Asked for approx 4years of maintenance to exit from timeshare. The office in Mijas Costa is close to the DWVC Cash-Back old office and I am sure there was another company in the office now being stated in there brochure. Also postcode very close to the ILG one:- 29650

  12. Timeshare owner says:

We were cold called by Eureka Property Services (Avenida Ciudad de Melilla, Ctjo. Plaza Mayor, 29631 Malaga) and being told they literally would take our timeshare off us and there would be nothing to pay, we went to the appointment. They do seem a reputable company. Here is what they told us they do.

Based on an an annual maintenance fee of £500 and an annual increase of 3.0%, they calculate we will pay £2734 over the next 5 years in maintenance on our timeshare. They therefore will take over the ownership, ceasing all our liabilities for maintenance, for this amount, returning the £539 in maintenance we paid this year to us. However, as my husband will be 75 in two years time and we may at that time give our ownership back to our timeshare company (we have this in writing from them), Eureka offered to take it off us for two years payment of £1045.

Our holiday needs have changed and this is why we are interested in getting rid of our timeshare, but we do not have a desperate financial need to off-load it immediately. Therefore, we have decided to keep it for two more years, as we can bank it with RCI or even use it ourselves. In fact, the Eureka salesman even advised us this was our best route from the very beginning of our interview with him.

There was no high pressure sales. They appeared to be very straight forward, explaining they have to ensure they have the funds to pay the maintenance fees until they have found companies to take the ownership on, as they have the liability after we assign ownership to them, hence the reason they do not just take over ownership at no cost.

If we were younger, we would have seriously considered going with this deal as a way of getting out of timeshare with the least financial cost.

The salesman apologised for the somewhat misleading information given to us by the telephone person arranging the appointment by saying their only job was to get people an appointment to discuss relinquishing their timeshare, not to give them the details, which they were probably unaware of anyway.

    • Dear Timeshare Owner,

Thank you for your constructive comment.
We are pleased to hear that there was no pressure sales.

We do have to point out though that it is not a “simple” issue of the agent calling not knowing what it is really about.
This agent is cold calling and there is no explanation of where they obtained your details.

Eureka Property Services displays addresses of which we know at least the Spanish one is incorrect.

The offer may sound right, but where is the guarantee?
And they want the money upfront…not when everything has been sorted and you have the confirmation from your resort.

Timeshare owners should always speak to their resort about disposal first.

      Kind regards

      Customer Care

My Mum is due to go to a meeting at Gatwick tomorrow (with me). Very concerned that this is another sc**! She has been told the usual such as no money will be involved! But she needs to bring proof of ID and ownership! Mum is 77 and has already been sca**** once, but is desperate to get rid of the timeshare that she and dad enjoyed for so many years, as she does not want the ownership to pass to me in the future

  14. Trop says:

This company is completely unethical. Once you are on their phone list, you will be pestered for ever, regardless of how many times you ask them to stop. If you search the web you will see that they can be aggressive with people who try to get off their list. I’ve been pestered for months, and I don’t even own a timeshare. Please do not do business with this company.

  15. Don says:

HAve just beencalled by Carol at Eureka Proprty srevices. Waiting for E-mail

  16. Interested says:

60 Windsor Avenue SW19 RR is a forwarding address.
