Have you been called by Xpress Resales for a Timeshare Resale?

A new cold calling Timeshare Resale Company is active at the moment under the name Xpress ResalesXpress resales

Xpress Resales is a cold caller and seem to know a lot about the Timeshare Owner and his Membership.

The website for Xpress Resales is xpressresales.co.uk and was registered on the 14th of January 2013

The website does not provide a Company Registration number and only 2 properties are listed, so still a lot to do.

The company address is Deed House, East Barnet Road, EN4 8RN London.

Telephone 0203 598 2066 and email info@xpressresales.co.uk

Unfortunately is it not only the cold call but also an upfront fee or deposit they request to complete the Timeshare resale.

Asking for a deposit, for whatever reason is not allowed and goes against the Timeshare Directive. Something a company such as Xpress Resales should know as they claim to have extended experience in Timeshare.

If you have been contacted by Xpress Resales from 02035982066 in London, then please let us know.

I have been contacted by xpressresales this week about the sale of my Club Class, like a fool I paid £972 as a holding fee back in April, and I was to receive the money on the 26th june, but I had no contact until this week when a gentleman phoned me from Spain, saying the UK office has closed down and the the work was being completed in Spain.
The clients who was going to buy my Club Class could not raise the money and backed out, and now they have got another buyer, and I would get the money they offered in the first place, the Gentleman went through all the details with me saying the money (banker Draft) would arrive by DHL next tuesday, up unto then it was ok until he started talking about me having to pay tax on that money which is 10% of the value of my Club Class, At first I informed him I would not being paying out any more money up front as i have lost £6000.00 with other companies.
This gentleman informed me that I was going against the contract and I would lose the £972, I informed him I am not prepared to pay this tax.
He did say I should have been informed about the Tax payment which I was not and the contract says nothing about this payment.
Can someone help and let me know if I can claim against these people.

I also have been contacted by xpress resales, Oh yes the lovely Sharon!! We have Rci points Sharon claims that they have a purchaser that can proceed as soon as we pay a retainer of £1300.00
I informed her that there is a new government directive banning these fees up front. All i got in response was a Dead telephone line. And then a voice message saying if I wish to phone them I could, hmmmmm
we have been caught by these cold calling resale companies befor , fortunately we got our money back from the bank and they reclaimed it back from the resale company.
My next port off call is the trading standards to report them as a bogus company,

We have been contacted several times by phone from Xpress resales who claim to have a buyer for our Diamond Points, Sharon was her name and I told her that we would not be parting with any funds or certificates up front, she insisted that they would not be able to proceed without a credit card payment as our managment fees were in arrears. Can anyone on here tell me if Xpress have asked for a credit card payment up front and you are NOT in arrears with your membership fees please. I look forward to hearing from you. Gina

    • Dear Gina,
You have seen the blog and we do not recommend this company or any resale company that cold calls and asks for upfront fees. This is illegal and goes against the Timeshare Directive.
If you are in arrears on your maintenance fees payments you should solve this with your timeshare resort directly.
No resale company would be involved in this as they would not accept your timeshare for resale if there were outstanding fees.
      Hope this helps.
      Kind regards
      Customer Care

Hi Gina, We have also benn contacted by Sharon, our management fees are not in arrears, however she still wants a credit card payment up-front claiming that it’s a refundable ammount and they
take it as a guarantee that neither party will default!
We have been caught like this before! It is illegal to ask for money up front , my advice to you is don, t do it, she, s just looking for different ways to overcome your objections!

I have also been contacted by Xpress resales and they are asking for £1200 to be deposited from my credit card. I have asked them to call me back on Monday morning so I could check them out. I now know through reading your page it is against the Law to ask for money up front thank you for this information.

    Jeanette and Graham
We have been contacted by Sharon Collier of xpressresales who claims to have a buyer for our time share, promising us 14k however she wants some 1200.00 up front. We have been conned in the past by several companies all making the same sort of offer, we fell for this twice as we were desparate to get rid of our maintenance fees and are now dealing with Spanish lawyers Greenges to try to recover some of the monies.I just hope that they are genuine. Our advice to anyone thzt receives a cold call is Donot part with any money

Just went through a similar sales pitch. All seemed OK until Sharon said she was to pass me over to another lady from finance and that I was expected to pay up front around£1300! Told her I was not paying any money up front, even if it was by credit card, and heard nothing more

  6. ALAN says:

I have today, 14th March, again been contacted by( telephone) by Xpressresales who state they have an offer for my timeshare. I told the caller that if at any time they were going to ask me for money ,they should hang up right away since I had been caught similarly before and had no intention of parting with any more of my finances.I was assured that this would not arise and that they/she would again contact me when appropriate paperwork had been sorted. I await that call!!!!

  7. Andy says:

    Good morning
I have an elderly neighbour who suffers from dementia and recently lost her husband. We have always been aware that they were involved in some sort of Timeshare arrangement but did not know the details.
I was recently visiting when the lady gave me correspondence from a company called Xpress Resales regarding the sale of their ‘Club Class Platinum Membership’. I was immediately concerned as I realised they were looking for an upfront fee of £1100 and quoting that they had an offer for the membership package of £21000.

The lady has no knowledge of having ever paid anything like that sum of money for any membership and is unsure if she is paying any yearly fees.

I am in no doubt that this is a scam but would be grateful if you could let me know any information. Mainly I am concerned as to how Xpress resales got her details, and how they also have her credit card details.

I am also concered about her ongoing membership of Club Class and would like to know, is there any potential value in the membership (which she could safely sell) and is she paying any yearly fees she is not aware of.

    Many thanks in advance
