MM Consultancy the latest addition to the Reclaimgc Group!

Yes, another name to be added to all the companies connected with Reclaimgc, and this time it is MM Consultancy or M.M.CMMC Logo

M.M.C is one of those companies that appear to be all “customers focused” and set up to help out innocent consumers.

In their initial cold call MM Consultancy explain the Timeshare owner they can help out with claims under the Consumer Credit Act and other additional services such as disposal or a compensation claim against the Timeshare Company of the consumer.

In order to do for example the claim under Section75 they do ask for an upfront fee of £560.

MM Consultancy registered their website www.mm-consultancy.com on the 18th of February 2013

On the website MMC does mention they are a Trading Name for Mohawk Marketing a company which is registered at the UK Companies House under Reg. Nº 8344906. This registration was done in January 2013

So both MMC and Mohawk Marketing are very new and claiming to be a successful & experienced entity sounds a bit over the top for people that haven’t been around for more than 2 weeks.

There are even Testimonials on the web from people that have already claimed successfully with MM Consultancy, in 2 weeks?

This apparent UK Based company has their address at: 3 The Drive, Jubilee House, Brentwood, Essex, CM13 3FR

Strangely enough, for a UK based company they explain on the web that they work together with Spanish solicitors from the company called Canarian Legal Alliance.

Why would that be?

Canarian Legal Alliance was recently mentioned on our blog, as this same solicitors or legal assessors company is working alongside with Reclaimgc the Group of companies headed up by Eugen Kaiser. A group under which you can find other so called “claims” companies such as Timeshare Refund Network or Blue Flag Solutions.

All these companies are cold callers and all these companies appear to offer a service to the consumer to help with different claims against the timeshare resorts, refund claims, etc. And all these companies offer the same solution as well, either a legal assessor visits the Timeshare owner at home (against a fee of £200 just for the visit!) or the Timeshare consumer travels to the Canary Islands and meets up with the so called assessors there.

Those who travel to the Canary Islands might also end up in a presentation for Voyager Travel, the Discount Travel Membership Club from Reclaimgc.

Please don’t let a name change or a nice website confuse you. The above mentioned companies are all part of one and the same group; Reclaimgc and now we have a new name to add to their list:  MM Consultancy.

Yet again we need to raise the question to why a company such as Reclaimgc that claims to be a genuine and honest company has the need to change their name each couple of months. If you are doing what you promise to do and you have numerous happy customers, would you not be proud of your branch name? Would you not want people to find you on Google under your original name? Just asking….

    We were contacted two weeks ago by a lovely lady called Kelly Ann who assured us her company M.M.C. would be able to reclaim monies we had paid out to a time share company in the Canary Islands in 2007. She wanted an up front payment of £675. When I told her we would not be paying out any more money up front she tried to persuade us that it would be better to pay than loose 30% to them. (Surely she should be trying to make as much money for her company as she can?)
    We then suggested that we would drive down to Essex to meet them face to face. At this point she said she would get a manager to ring us back when they had our file in front of them (What file?)
    Needless to say we have received no such phone call.
    What a surprise!

    Hello. My grandparents are being hounded by companies. This week they were contacted by DS Marketing in Manchester who then passed on my grandparents details to MM Consultancy who are registered as Mohawk Marekting Ltd. What a carryon. My grandparents always refer any company to me for me to deal with and this lady was very convincing on the whole and said all the right things, gave me the details, registered company number etc. ANyway, they can forget it. We already have written off the money lost and are not about to lose any more. However, I would be prepared to carry out the process myself on behlaf of my grandparents. Has anyone every done this? Does anyone know where there is a step by step guide on how to reclaim money via the credit card company in relation to the Consumer credit act. Any information would be most useful.

    Thank God I’ve just phoned companies House, gave them the reg no, and they said it was Mohawk marketing, my contact Kelly-Ann, whom I’ve been talking with for 2 weeks, only gave the name MMC. She wanted either £99 no-win-no-fee or £575. But the biggest clue was, she wanted payment on card over phone without any paperwork! So glad I found this article when I searched Mohawk marketing.

    I was contacted 17th May bu MMC, claiming they could recover all money I had paid to DWVC in full in about 3 weeks. They are calling again tomorrow…thanks to this I will not be going ahead.

    I was contacted 17th March by MMC offering to get back all my money I paid for a DWVC. They wanted up front £575 and again said it could be resoved in about 3 weeks and i would get all my money back. I said i would have to think about it and they are calling me tomorrow…Thanks to this I will not be going ahead.

    I was contacted by MMC saying that the Full Circle Holiday Club will not pay my loyalty reward money they can recover my money since I paid by credit card. They wanted upfront fee of £560 before the paperwork contract can be seen. They refer me to their web site. All these companies make cold call I would not touch at all. This MMC is only three month old. This only a prove of their unprofessional and legal work. I will have t5o report them to TPS as my phone is registered there.

    I was contacted today about claiming back money from Incentive Lesiure Group. A Catherine Taylor from MM Consultancy is going to telephone me tomorow to explain how to claim money back even though i explained to the person i spoke to i had managed to recoup approx 80% of my costs back through the Consumer 75 Act via the credit card company which i had used to pay the initial deposit and it was totally free. I dont think i will be taking her call

    Had a call from Christine at MM Consultancy saying my holiday club had gone into liquidation and they could get all my money back under a section 75 claim as I paid a deposit by credit card.
    I pointed out that I could not remember which card we used to pay the deposit nor knew how much or date of payment or even who we paid it to.

    Christine said they could sort all that out and wanted £575.00 paid by credit card but before sending any contract paperwork – all sound very suspicious. She even said about a horrible man called Alberto Garcia and how they had to take legal action against him because of false allegations against their company. Now, why tell me this when offering to help me get money back?

      Very strange they don’t seem to have an issue with the fact you cannot even remember how, when and what you paid and the card is no longer used. As long as you pay the upfront fee…

      No surprise there when you say they spoke badly about Alberto Garcia as obviously our warnings on the blog are not appreciated as we are telling the consumers what is really going on and people will think twice before paying an amount upfront.

    Just been called by mm the lady was very nice so I could not be rude to her like I usually am as only yesterday I was called by another company I told her I want nothing to do with any of you she put the phone down on me first ! Anyway mm told me to look them up and get back to her, don’t think I will bother ! Oh yeah when I said about the scamming gong on she said yes its very bad people are still asking for money up front should have strung her along and waited to see how much she wanted too .

      As a Consumer Rights Expert my advice would be this: Research the company with Companies House and see if there is a registration number. For your own protection pay the fee on your credit card as you are protected. When these companies have started the Section 75 claim for you keep all of the documentation to use as a template should they not do the service they have promised. A Section 75 is complicated but if you have one to copy from you will be able to get your fee back through the bank. A Section 75 claim can take up to 5 months depending on how detailed it is. No consumer Law protects you in No Win No Fee cases as you sign over Power of Attorney so when your money goes to them and they mysteriously dissolve the company your money is their money.

    I had a call from TRN and then a follow up visit from Reclaimgc. This company as far as I can see is not a scam. They have explained the legal process and we are going ahead to reclaim our missold timeshare.

      I have also been contacted by MMC and have paid £99 up front for them to get my money back. The website address they gave me is now suspended so it looks as though I have been conned yet again!! Fortunately not a massive amount but even so

    Have just had long call from TRN Gran Canaria re my weeks at Palm Beach Club Tenerife and they also mentioned Silverpoint (my Managers) are in trouble. Can you give me any feedback re this please? They are calling me again on Monday.

      I was phoned today offering a week in a resort somewhere near the Mirage in Tenerife for £49.50 but we had to book today. For that price for the room seems a bit iffy and I asked about Palm Beach Club when they said it was closed for a massive refit. We had been there a few years back and loved the proximity as well as the resort. So make of this what you will, someone’s telling porkies I think.

      As you resort is affiliated to the RDO, I would suggest you contact the RDO Consumer Department on info@rdo.org or TATOC which is the Timeshare association http://www.tatoc.co.uk , email info@timeshareassociation.org

      Mindtimeshare only handles inquiries / complaints about those companies that are not affiliated to RDO or TATOC as the companies affiliated have to work by the strict code of ethics from the RDO and TATOC and they are the ones making sure this is done.

    I was called today by telephone from of all people RCI telling me they are now offering timeshare
    owners a new service where they can get out of their timeshare with no upfront charges just
    a fee for legal expenses if I choose to proceed, they come to your home to do the transaction.
    Can you tell me whether you have heard about this at all?
