Essential Claims Management, a claims Company with strange connections

A new claims company has been brought to our attention by the name of Essential Claims Management. ECMLOGO

Essential Claims Management or ECM is emailing timeshare consumers an offer for a Credit Card protection Plan and a service to do a refund claim under the Consumer Credit Act.

For this refund claim they charge a 25% plus VAT once the consumer has received their refund.

So far so good and we want to insist that we have no problem with any claims company and less if they are charging once the service has been completed.

The details we have from Essential Claims Management are the following;

The website which was registered in July last year.

The address in the UK: Penrose House, Hasland Road, Chesterfield S41 0SJ Derbyshire.

On the web it states clearly that Essential Claims actually is a trading style for Brown & Kennedy Financial Solutions Ltd which is a Company Registered in England and Wales.

But of course the name Essential Claims rings a bell. We have on this blog different articles about companies belonging to the Essential Travel Group.

So does Essential Claims Management belong to the same group? Well yes, we have found indications that they indeed belong to the same group of companies.

So consumers who have been dealing with dubious discount clubs in the past, who maybe even belong to the Essential Travel Group, are now approached with calls and emails from “Essential Claims Management” for help with claiming a refund!

No need to ask even where they obtained the consumers details…

We thought the consumers have the right to know.

    This company said i could quicken results and cut red tape by paying a “mortgage audit fee” after they said there was problems with a backlog of cases. I wish i hadn’t. After several calls and emails, i have had no reply, and now none of their phone numbers work. Be warned

      I have finally had a reply, but only after requesting another sales call after visiting their site, they said their phone numbers had all been changed and had a new system, they assured me all was going well and I shouldn’t worry they apologized for the lack of communication.

        How are you getting on with essential claims as I am in the same boat as your self. I handed over the fee for a mortgage audit also waiting for pip and the phone number does not exist after ringing them

    Thanks for bringing this to light – so that we are aware of potential cold call, and what to avoid. As for claiming back money under consumer credit act, this is something we can all do for ourselves – without the 25% + VAT deduction. There is a very good template to use on Have a look. I just fired off a letter using that template to my credit card company. Watch this space.
