A new cold caller has been detected this week under the name of Financial Accountancy Services.
This company seems to be registered at the UK Companies House, but we have actually serious doubts that the people calling on behalf of this company are the real ones and have anything to do with the company that is registered.
Financial Accountancy Services explains the Timeshare Owner they are able to recover money for them which they have paid to fraudulent companies in the past. They even go as far as mentioning that they are working together with the UK Government!
Obviously the fact that they cold call and seem to know all about previous dealings of the timeshare owner with bogus companies makes the alarm bells ring.
But Financial Accountancy Services understands the consumer might be suspicious and provides a telephone number of the Asset Recovery Department where the consumer can verify that Financial Accountancy Services is a genuine and trustworthy company.
Oh dear, that sounds familiar!
The contact details for Financial Accountancy Services uses the phone number 02081332634 and for the Asset Recovery Department the contact numbers are 012737826181 and “Head Office” 02032907266
After the initial call and once the consumer called the Asset Recovery Department to verify the company details, another call is received with clear instructions on how to proceed.
The Consumer is asked to go to the nearest UKASH Sales point and buy 5 vouchers of £95 each, so a total of £475. They should keep the vouchers although the agent from Financial Accountancy Services will ask for the proof they have been purchased and will require part of the digit code on the voucher, the rest of the code will “remain secret”
A courier will come along the house of the Timeshare Consumer after 2 days with 2 envelopes, one containing the cheque of the money recovered from the timeshare and the other one for the UKASH Vouchers. The consumer will be cashing the cheque and in 4 days this will be cleared in the bank.
Financial Accountancy Services goes as far as explaining they do not take charges by credit card as this would mean they could “run off with the money”
That is very cheeky to say the least. Those who have seen previous blog articles about the companies that use the “UKASH Voucher trick” know they are very well aware of the “secret digits” and the money is cashed in quickly whilst the timeshare consumer is waiting for the courier with the envelopes.
A courier that never arrives!
Please be extremely careful when contacted by Financial Accountancy Services or any other company with similar stories telling you to contact another company such as Asset Recovery Department to verify the story. All these people are in the same set up!
