BC Holidays the new resale Company for your Timeshare Membership

A warning goes out for those consumers who are cold called for a Timeshare resale through a company called BC Holidays.

The telephone number used is 0844 811 4363.

It becomes quickly clear that the company in question is Blue Chip.

A dubious resale company that has been present on this blog a long time.

It looks like Blue Chip is trying to avoid the bad critics on the Internet and has slightly changed their name to BC Holidays in order to confuse Timeshare owners.

But they only changed their name and not their way of working. They are still cold calling, pretending to have a buyer lined up and asking for an upfront fee which is against the law.

And strangely enough all these lined up sales Blue Chip or BC Holidays has, all fall through due to various circumstances and deposits are not refunded.

If you have been contacted for a resale of your timeshare by BC Holidays from 08448114363 in Spain, then please let us know.

I have just received a call today from Maggie Maxwell, again asking for a retainer with couple downstairs offering £7,200. Went through the whole process and I told her I would need to discuss with my husband. I wont be calling her back! Funny thing is she had my work number so not sure where she got that from…..

I’ve received a colt call today on my mobile and the lady (she said her name was Anni Harvey) on the other side was very polite and said the same old story: a potential buyer is willing to pay much more than what I was expecting for it. After collecting some information about our week and location, she said she was going to check with the hotel and called me ban in 15mins or so. She then given me the company name and the registered address as the following
Company Name: Bluechip reg no: B-93015790, Torox Holiday Village, Torox Costa, 29793, Malaga, Spain. Tel: 08448114363.

She said that I have to pay a “fully refundable insurance retainer” on a visa or master card, apparently an insurance to cover if I refused to hand over the deed after receiving the sales money in my account! (the funny thing she said was that the courier who will come to pickup the deed, either DHL or UPS will have a credit card machine on them to refund this deposit on receiving the deed. What a crap… firstly I haven’t heard pickup/delivery driver carrying CC machine and refunding money and secondly how would they know if I have given them the correct document)

I had my doubts from the beginning but just want to see how these people try… so I refused to give her my home phone number when she requested it twice. After spending about 30mins on my mobile, she asked me for my card details and I said I am not giving her any details until I find out more about the company so asked her to call me back tomorrow to finish off the deal. Guess what, all of the sudden her tone changed and she said it will have to be done today… I said NO. She got really upset and tried to tell me that I might have to pay a charge to my hotel because I’ve already agreed to the sale and that she had already informed my hotel of my decision. I said, I have agreed to anything and all she was doing so far was going through the information.

After trying this in different ways, for which I’ve said that I will deal with the charges with my hotel and she should not worry about that she hanged up the phone by saying “you have wasted my 35mins and the telephone charges calling a mobile”… then only I realist why she wanted to call me on my land line by saying the mobile line wasn’t very clear where I didn’t notice any issues with it!!!

Similar phone call today. Client willing to pay £8000, I only had to pay 17% upfront. I don’t think so. Told lady I would check her company on Google. Phone call ended.
