The Claims Centre in Stockport, the latest meeting point for ITRA

nowinnofee

Numerous Timeshare Owners have been approached lately by cold calling companies such as Purple Tower Solutions, Multi Claims and Cancelourtimeshare.com for a meeting appointment.

Purple Tower Solutions or PT Solutions is currently one of the most active cold callers who invite timeshare owners and previously they were doing this under the name of United Services.

Yet again it is worrying to see that a range of different company names is used to invite the Timeshare owners for a meeting that is purely organized by ITRA (International Timeshare Refund Action). Yet again the question is raised why on earth so many names for just one company if they are so genuine and upfront as they claim they are?

Apart from inviting Timeshare Owners to the consultation centres in Spain, ITRA is also actively making appointments for this summer in Stockport. The meeting in Stockport is supposedly a free consultation appointment about a NO WIN NO FEE claim against the Timeshare resort/ company of the owner.

The full address is: Claims Centre, Merchants House, 24 Market Place, Stockport, SK1 1EU

Telephones used: 0161 474 8125 or 0203 598 1856

We cannot insist enough about the fact that the meetings from ITRA are not only about the No Win No Fee claim and as a matter of fact, this is not the main issue of the meeting at all!

Numerous Timeshare Owners who attended the meeting have fallen into the “trap” of taking up the disposal services at the meeting by paying around £6000.

All agree on the same thing, they were told they would never ever be able to get out of their timeshare due to the perpetuity clause and their children and grandchildren would be liable for all fees and debts around the timeshare for ever.

Not only were these timeshare owners psychologically pushed into signing an agreement for a service they didn’t need or hadn’t even considered, but after coming home and paying the balance, most of them have never had their timeshare relinquished at all. So they are £6000 out of pocket, gave ITRA their original deeds and their resort continues to request maintenance fees as they are still the legit owners of the timeshare.

Our main frustration and worry here is the fact that we have identified the companies that are calling, we have identified the meeting places where ITRA organizes their “consultations” and yet the meetings continue to take place and nothing is done about this.

Have any authorities considered taking a look at least at what happens in the meeting centres in their towns? Are they closing their eyes on the fact that Timeshare consumers are mis represented by ITRA and duped out of large sums of money?

The words from the BIS spokesman last year October were more than clear about ITRA, after the wound up of 7 Club Class Companies.

Have a look at the full article about this ruling http://wp.me/p1kmoi-zN

But let me pick out one of the points raised: “Club Class and ITRA were set up with the aim of duping consumers”

So how comes we are all watching ITRA organizing meetings and nothing happens?

Should we not prevent instead of cure?

We need action! We need Timeshare Consumers to be protected, protected from companies such as ITRA who cash in thousands and thousands of Pounds each time they run a “No win No Fee” meeting.

Stockport, Benidorm, Marbella, Fuengirola….how many more Timeshare Owners have to lose their money to companies like ITRA?

If you have been invited by any of the mentioned companies or maybe another one with the same pitch of “No Win No Fee” claims, then please let us know.

Hi All, familiar story but looking for a bit of clarity……

I was cold called by Multi Claims around this time last year. I was advised of a claim against the Timeshare big guns (RCI, Interval International etc) which was filing for compensation against the mis-selling of timeshare and the ‘unfair’ increase of maintenance fee’s. I told them I was quite happy with me timeshare, and although unhappy with high maintenance fees, had no intention of selling immediately. They invited me to a meeting Stockport (surprise!) last July to find out more about eligibility for this forthcoming compensation claim. I went along and although there was a lot of chat about the perils of owning timeshare, high maintenance fees and how they will soar in the future, perpetuity and how my kids could inherit this ‘burden’….. there was actually no pressure to sign up to anything. I told them I didn’t want to sell or off load my timeshare and they said fine. The rest of the meeting was about the claim which they were adamant was going ahead…. they said the average owner could recuperate thousands. I spoke with a lawyer who I now think was from the ITRA, who confirmed I would be eligible to join the ‘group claim’. They said the case would be heard the USA and would take a while to come about. They projected I would be entitled to about 12000*15000 approx., including their 40% take.

I heard nothing for about 8 months and had pretty much forgotten about it until a few weeks ago. They called and advised the case was now being heard in Portugal. They’ve advised I would need to go to Portugal to sign some paperwork to be part of the claim. I’m extremely sceptical about all this and have read countless forums with horror stories about scams where people have paid for resale services and then been duped. I’ve also read some negative stuff about ITRA and multi claims themselves on here. Having said all that, these are the facts as I see them….

    – Cold call advising I might be entitled to compensation about mis-selling of Timeshare
    – Attended a meeting in Stockport, more info on the group claim, confirmed I was eligible, lots of talk about the high cost of owning, said I didn’t want to sell, nothing more was said on pushed on resale services
    – Recent call advising claim now in Portugal and that I would need to go to sign paperwork

Has anyone had any experience with Multi Claims? Has anyone actually won any compensation as a result of one of these claims. There’s a minefield of information on this…. lots about scams and lots about ITRA and associated companies being dodgy. I have no intention of going to Portugal but fail to see what Multi Claims would get out of me if I did?? I have told them I am keeping my timeshare so they can’t sell me any sort of resale service…. They have never asked me for money and its always just been their 40% on the compensation claim…. what do they stand to gain here apart from that??

Apologies for the lengthy post. I’d just like to get some thoughts on this and hear from anyone who has dealt with Multi Claims. Excuse my naivity but does this “group compensation claim” against RC even exist???

I contacted Timeshare Release on their website at http://www.timesharerelease.co.uk by filling out the form on the website.I have a timeshare with Club Lacosta.
I got a call a few hour later and after a few questions was told I had a good case for compensation.
I had a call the day after asking me to attend a meeting in an office in Chesterfield, I thought this is too good to be true. After a bit of research I found this blog and I am glad I did. I won’t be going down to their office and wasting time and money. Thanks for the valuable information.

    Minetimeshare
We had a meeting at Slough on 16th July 2012, we paid our back maintenance fees (2Years).For another £6558.34 they were suppose to dispose of our 6 timeshares. After 14 months I received an e-mail from Steven John to say it is cancelled. I e-mailed him back to ask what was cancelled.
To date no answer I have phoned him no answer, sent e-mails and they have just been rejected.
What should I do now ? It looks like I have lost £6558.34 and they have not paid the 2013 fees, which is nearly £3000.

    Les

  6. Viv says:

Hi, we had a meeting in Stockport yesterday with ITRA to sign up to the class action and then we agreed to them disposing of our infiniti points for £4,800 up front. We have paid a deposit of £480 and are meant to be paying the rest today. Having done more research into ITRA i’m now feeling this may be a con??

Has anyone had a positive experience with ITRA?

Does anyone know how to get out of an Infiniti points membership?

We have paid the deposit yesterday but they also have the deeds to our membership!

    • david says:

      HI VIV
      THANKYOU FOR YOUR COMMENT
IT LOOKS LIKE THIS HAS SAVED US PRECIOUS TIME &MORE IMPORTANT MONEY
WE SUPOSED TO VISIT STOCKPORT OFFICE ON MONDAY.
      SAME MO AS YOURS
      THANK YOU DAVID

  7. Nigel says:

Just arranged a meeting with Sarah at ITRA for Friday. Didn’t get the company name until they sent a confirming email – this follows a cold call. As with the other comments, the main focus was on the court case for compensation, but also to offer us ‘solutions’ to getting rid of our timeshare. By now I’m always very sceptical about anything related to timeshare – we seem to get a call from someone nearly every week. However, as their office in Stockport is only 10 miles away I thought I’d give it a try. Having read the above, I’m not going to bother. Thanks mindtimeshare.

    1) Two new names on the block!! 1st Diane representing Victoria Taylor (consultant) for BS Marketing see MM-Consultancy.com, Tel 01277 509013 AND 2nd Milestone Data Investigations, London.
Both these two will “help” clients to get back monies by following up a “recent” OFT ruling against ILG/DWCC/CCC. Needless to say am ignoring their petitioning.
    2) Fell for Bridge View Consultants/ITRA Stafford early 2010, complained under Section 75 to bank’s cc,….. refused. early 2012 complained again-…. shelved by bank! Late 2012 complained again,…. received a (limited) offer. Went to FOS in Dec 2012. Had FOS decision April 2013 ……..fully in our favour, cancellation of debt, assertion that 1st complaint should have been accepted, full refund of payments made during 2010/11/12 with interest and compensation, still took bank further 7 weeks to settle ( worth 56% increase on their limited offer). Good news, but do wish we had never got involved with ITRA/CCC in first place.
    3) from FOS website 23% complaints to our bank settled in favour of complainant, so consider ourselves EXTREMELY fortunate to have succeeded. BEST ADVICE….. DO NOT TO RISK IT!!!

  9. Mike says:

Same old remit with ITRA. We are currently looking at legal action as we were duped 2years ago and they have not come up with the solutions they offered ie selling our timeshare.

  10. Mrs k B says:

Had a cold call from itra. After insisting they weren’t selling anything asked a lot of questions about my timeshare. Including cost, perpetuity , maintenance fees, what size apartment. I told him i was happy with my week. Costs were my business and don’t call again because I knew from reading your website what he was up to and put the phone down. Keep up the good work.
