Centro Europeo Madrid, the fake lawyers from Madrid

A new company has been brought to our attention by the name of Centro Europeo Madrid.

This company pretends to be a Madrid based Lawyers office and as far as we know they cold call Timeshare Owners to notify them there has been a court case against their timeshare company.

For the moment they seem to be targeting German Speaking Timeshare Owners.

From the court case they claim money has been awarded by the Spanish Government to be paid out to the victims, and Centro Europeo Madrid has been appointed by the Government to contact all these victims.

They back this phone call up with an email and an official looking document where they have clearly (mis) used the logos of the Spanish government and European Union.

This document explains the timeshare owner needs to pay a deposit in order to secure the funds will reach the right timeshare owner.

The amount of the deposit is around 1700€ in order to receive 15.000€ that have been awarded and can be paid by Bank Transfer or in case the Timeshare owner wants to he can pay it directly in cash at the Tax Office in Madrid. Centro Europeo Madrid does provide the address where to do this and also points out this have to be in cash as no other payment methods are accepted.

Obviously paying by bank transfer will be much quicker and will speed up the bank transfer of the money into the Timeshare owners account.

Please note that this company is a fake, there is no such lawyers’ office in Madrid under the name of Centro Europeo Madrid and neither has there been a Court case where money has been awarded to Timeshare Owners.
