This week there has been many press articles published all around Europe about the police action in Gran Canaria called “Operación Voyager”.
Not only the British tourists seem to be affected by these so called Holiday Clubs, and as a matter of fact there is a very large group of Norwegian Consumers that have filed complaints as well.
TV 2 Norway, also dedicates an article to the Police Action in Gran Canaria.
The link to the article is http://www.tv2.no/nyheter/utenriks/-de-ble-sure-da-vi-tok-champagnen-og-gikk-4093796.html and you can use Google Translator to get the text up in English or any other language.
The article is based on recent TV programs about these scams happening on holidays and they also spoke to Ragner Wiik the Director of Consumer Europe in Norway.
“Only the first half of this year, we have received about 90 complaints from Norwegians, mostly these companies: Voyager Travel and Lifestyle Holidays”, says Director of Consumer Europe, Ragnar Wiik.
That is a lot of complaints, and certainly an amount to take into account when it has been said this week that there was a lack of complaints to back up this demand!
