Have you been cold called by World Development Insolvency Group or WDIG?

New cold caller World Development Insolvency Group or simply WDIG has started their contact campaign the past week.

This company, apparently new, claims to be based in Gibraltar. Well the address they provide is Postbox 699, Main Street, Gibraltar, which obviously does not really indicate an address as such.

The reason why they are calling Timeshare consumers is because World Development Insolvency Group are currently processing claims against the assets of different fraudulent companies, and these assets have been seized by the Authorities.

Coincidentally these fraudulent companies have been dealing with the Timeshare consumer on the phone. In the follow up email they send from world.development.insolvency.group@mail.com they explain the following:

World Development Insolvency Group  only litigate against companies for the contract value, with the view to going to mediation, looking to receive offers between 65% – 85% of the contract value of £54,278.72 within a 31 day period.

The court filing fee is £525 which is required by the barrister as evidence to the court that the Timeshare owner is claiming against the assets of the companies in question and he wants to initiate the legal process.

World Development Insolvency Group kindly attaches the bank details to the email so the consumer can pay straight away!

They do mention that the filing fee is refunded to the consumer on completion together with his settlement figure.

Once the transfer has been sent, they want this to be confirmed on their contact telephone number 0845 557 8128 to get the legal process under way.

Please note that there are no assets seized at all from any company they mention and neither could we find a registered company by the name of World Development Insolvency Group.

We did find indications that this company is connected to other dubious cold calling companies with similar stories.

If you have been contacted by World Development Insolvency Group or WDIG from 08455578128 in Gibraltar, then please let us know.
