Latorre y Arias does not seem to be registered as a company in Spain. Neither are there any other ID or Registration numbers on their website www.latorreyarias.com

This website was registered in June 2013.

Contact details for Latorre Y Arias are: Plaza De San Agustin, 41020, Sevilla

Telephone: Spanish Mobile 0034 634 116 104 and Fax: 0034 954 495 031

Paying a 10% fee upfront to a Company that is not registered with lawyers that do not seem to be registered either and cold called the consumer, seems to be very risky and certainly not recommendable.

I have been called by Paul Allen – precisely as for Keith (above). No up-front fee demanded – states that “if Courts accept to reward you a reimbursement, you will be required to pay 10% of the awarded amount directly to the Court to cover administration and fees”.
However, the “Letter of Authorisation” I am asked to sign requires me to accept that I will pay (to whom? – not specified) 10% “of the monies recovered . . . once the court decision has been confirmed in writing”; which may, or may not, mean “once the monies recovered have been paid out to me . . .
    Anyone had any further experience?

Have just had a call from Paul Alan who seemed uncertain of their telephone number and rather hesitant in his spiel. Court fees 5% – 10% (not stated to be up-front) (max10%) to cover all costs and paid direct to the Court!? L y A’s fees paid by the Court. Am awaiting an emailed authorisation letter from them, which I am supposed to sign and return. All sounds a bit odd.

No I haven’t – I’ve had some funny ones but never that
