I have been contacted by OBS this is most definitely a sc** they use practically word for word the same patter as another fraudulent company that scammed me last year.I stood to lose £1300.00 as when the sale fell through on the last minute and I refused to pay further monies to ensure a corporate buyer they said they had offered to see the sale through and therefore had completed their contractual obligation to me.My credit card companies said because I had paid money to a 3rd party they couldn’t refund me. however after months of writing and providing evidence of the scam as a gesture of good will they did refund me but pointed out never to give my card details over to any future scammers as this was a once only gesture and if I fell foul again they wouldn’t refund So be WARNED

I have been cold called by this company; they say they have abuye inthe states offering a good price; they want 995 GBP but on readingthese postings I think I will give it a miss.

I foolishly paid the company Design Wizard ( a company recommended by OBS as an independent third party) a Default Guarantee. This I was told by OBS was refundable upon release of the Deeds to my Timeshare on completion of the sale. The sale I was informed had been completed and then within 24 hours told that it had fallen through but if I paid additional money they would be able to recover the sale. It was at this point that I realised that the whole thing was very suspect and asked OBS for my Default Guarantee back. I decided not to follow this course of action and luckily I had paid by Credit Card and got in touch with the Credit Card Fraud Section. They took up my case with Design Wizard and I have been informed that they have recovered the money. I have been extremely lucky after making what I realise now was a very stupid payment to these companies. I would strongly recommend that anyone thinking of using OBS that they do not. OBS in my opinion are not a company that one should do business with no matter how credible and trustworthy they appear.

Having been told that my original sale had fallen through OBS then asked for a large payment to expedite a further sale. I refused and requested that my Document Guarantee be returned I await their response. Luckily I am covered by Credit Card Insurance. I’m not sure about this Company

We have just received a call from OBS. As with Richard C they have also asked us for £1400, to cover legal costs incase we don’t sign the deeds over, or do a runner with the money they plan on sending us. They have said that it is a refundable deposit, but are we to believe them? We have been scammed in the past. They have also told us that if we don’t sell, the new company taking over are going to charge us £3000 for a renewal fee. Not sure what to do as they are going to ring back later today for an answer!

  6. Richard C says:

I have been in touch with OBS, I am trying to sell my timeshare, they have asked for £1400, their reason for this is to cover cost on case after i have recieved payment for my timeshare If i do not comply with signing over the deeds for the timeshare, does this seem plausible. ?
