IBS – International Booking Service, or should we say Realistix?

IBS

The company IBS or International Booking Service has recently been cold calling timeshare owners, mainly German consumers, offering to buy their timeshare. They invite the consumer to come to a meeting in Tenerife to conclude there the transaction.

The IBS webpage is http://www.my-ibs.info (no longer working) , and initially they promote their international holiday booking service. After a closer look into the webpage, it is quite clear that their main objective is a certain group of consumers – timeshare owners. On their website they explain in all variations that they are the only serious company on this endless market of resale companies that is able to help them with their problem of continuously rising maintenance fees.

According to the details on their web page, IBS is located in UK, with a branch office in Tenerife, Spain. Their contact telephone numbers are Spanish mobile numbers:  0034 631594465 or 0034 631594464, fax: 0032 21122681789, e-mail: ibs@workmail.com.

IBS pretends to have specialized in the „take-over” of timeshare weeks, and they state that they would dispute the payments of maintenance fees and other additional costs via their legal department, with the result of having to pay only a fractional part of the running service charges.

According to consumers who were recently cold called by them, the IBS staff seems to tell the consumer that their business is related to Realistix Solutions.

As Realistix Solutions is well known to us since quite some time, and we already published several articles about the activities of this company and other related firms, we know that at these meetings in fact takes place a presentation of the product merchandised by Realistix Solutions. This product consists in a software DVD, which is supposed to give the consumer access to a booking system for discount holidays, and at the same time they affirm that with this system the consumer is allowed to book into any RCI resorts, and also receives discounts on hotels and villas around the world.

ATTENTION! This product has nothing to do with RCI – Resort Condominiums International!

Between the cold call from IBS, their dubious statements about the “take-over” of the consumer’s timeshare, and their relation to the well-known company Realistix Solutions, we would certainly recommend to be very cautious when dealing with this company.
