Recently a new company has been detected by the name of Timeshare Law.
This company has a website http://www.timesharelaw.net/ which was created at the end of 2013.
On this website they claim to be “The Genuine Legal Solution To Reclaim Money Paid For Miss-Sold Timeshare”
Although they provide comprehensive information about the Timeshare Law and how people will be able to claim a refund in case the resort or developer didn’t comply with the law, there is not really a lot of information about who these lawyers are.
There is no company registration, no address, no telephone number or any other company details that one would expect from a genuine legal set up.
The only way to contact them is through the contact form on the web or by email to accounts@timesharelaw.net
They do attach some sample documents that would be used if the client wishes to go ahead with the claim, and from the documents it looks like they are based in Fuengirola, Malaga on the Costa del Sol.
In the documents from Timeshare Law, there is some advice to clients on the bottom and there is one that stands out and certainly should be taken into account: “Please be aware that you could be liable for all the expenses of the trial in case that the court does not approve of all your claims”
Submitting your personal details to companies without any identification, not knowing who they are or where your details might end up, is not a good thing to do.
If you have been contacted by Timeshare Law or maybe found the website by surfing the web, we certainly recommend being cautious.
Please do let us know if this is your case because we would like to have feedback on Timeshare Law. You can email us at customercare@mindtimeshare.com or place a comment on this blog
I have not been contacted
However I did receive a phone call from Petchey recently
I don’t remember writing to them recently Currently£ 385 annual maintenance
Original cost was £2300 and to hand it back they want £4000
When we visited last year we were told £1100 with two weeks holiday
We are on off season Originally we were told charge could only increase in line with Portugese inflation
We bought in 1983 We were told our room would be one of three which overlooked the bowling green wheras when we visited our designated room overlooked the back of the building at Pria D,Oura
The original contract which is in line with Bahamas legislation showed £120 charge but when we returned to question it we were told that was a mistake and £90 was inserted and signed by someone other than the salesman who was a Welshman from Merthyr originally-On the morning we were told we would be unable to buy if we left the site However we did leave for lunch on the beach and on our return there was no mention of not being able to purchase the time share
I like the site which has now been sold to an Indian 52 people paying £382 maintenance annually is£ 20,020
Which is ridiculous for a bedroom and kitchen
