Cold Caller List – March 2014

Cold Call blog

Dear All,

Here we are with a new updated cold caller list for the month of March 2014.

This month we detected 111 Active companies, of which 27 New Companies.

For a complete list you can click on the following link: March cold caller list

As you can see, most of the active companies are those offering mediation, claims companies and the so called legal advisers. But there are also new DTMC – Discount Travel Membership Clubs who are offering packages of several years of holidays and companies that contact consumers to offer packages of several bonus weeks.

Please be careful with what you sign or pay for, as most of these packages consist of several accommodation vouchers with duration of 12 months or less and these do not fall under the Timeshare Directive. The packages are often split up between different agreements and on paperwork the product is not reflected as a long term holiday product at all.

The 27 new companies detected this month of March 2014 are:

20/20 Travel Consultants

We have been called this week by Lloyd Clark LTD offering to claim back, no win, no fee but 35% of any monies repaid for mis-sold Timeshare.
Company registered in Belize. We shall not take up their offer.

  3. Peter says:

I have had a cold call from Robert Pinker pertaining to be acting for Olton Alexander Financial Claims Limited in a group action againsy Lion Resorts – he has all of my details (how has he got these?) – although i would love to recover some of the money i have lost being coerced into a Lions timeshare, i am deeply suspicious of this OAFC group action. They advised a no win no fee process but then the paperwork they have sent through denotes a £295 “Action Commencement fee”…alarm bells are ringing….your thoughts?

  6. Zoe says:

Hi, I’ve had calls and texts from Olton Alexander re: Barclays Partner Finance relating to timeshare in Tenerife. I’ve had a look around the web and registered companies etc but don’t know if I should progress – any advice out there?

    • Zoe says:

Just found this on the TATOC website!!!
      Consumer Alert: For Silverpoint members
      TUESDAY, 26 MARCH 2013 13:00
      Consumer alert Olton Alexander
It has been brought to the attention of TATOC that Silverpoint owners are being targeted by ‘legal firm’ Olton Alexander with a bogus class action.
TATOC urges all Silverpoint members to act with extreme caution if they are contacted by representatives of this company.
Paperwork seen by the TATOC Consumer Helpline team looks very professional and convincing and the Association is concerned that some owners will fall for the scam.

  7. Audrey says:

I too had a cold call from Lloyd Clarks about recovering timeshare costs and yearly maintenance fees over the past 8 years. Apparently this company got my name off a database. I can’t find any reviews on this company and can’t help thinking this is another scam.

  8. JP says:

Just been contacted by Lloyd Clarks Ltd

Seam to got all my details the only people who had them was the management company where we had are time-share in Tenerife.

    Thanks

  9. T.W says:

about fiscal release through a Spanish notary.for a claim against club class holdings ltd. they even
new how much my claim was worth. after my dealings with swift resease claims .using a telephone
    no 0034955320

  10. Mary says:

    Hi
My husband had a call today from Lloyd Clarks who say they can get us our money back on a no win no fee basis, we will have to pay them 35% of what they get. If we got some money back we would be quite pleased. We have to get together our credit card slips and bank drafts used for paying for our time share week and points, for when someone calls him back on Friday. We have had a call and then a visit from Reclaimge in the past again supposedly no win no fee but they then wanted £9000 to pay the Spanish solicitors, we did not go a head with this. We wonder if on further contact Lloyd Clarks will ask for money, I notice on the bottom of an introductory letter sent by email it says they are based Belize but quote a London address on the letter.

  11. Chris says:

I have received a cold call from a Duncan Moore of Averglade. law. He said he can get my money back from Escalliber and Round circle. He also rubbished “mind timeshare” Who do I believe???

    • Hi Chris,

      Thanks for your comment.
Your choice on who to believe is between a cold calling company, who seems to got hold of your personal details (which should be protected), and will be asking for an upfront payment to start processing a dubious court case, or Mindtimeshare who is a non profit organization and provides advice free of charge…
I think the choice cannot be too difficult

      Regards
