Cervantes is a cold calling Company who presents themselves as liquidators for the Company Reclaim Ltd.

In spite of the fact there has been a liquidation of this company and the official liquidators are Price WaterHouse Coopers in Gibraltar, it seems that there are still companies such as Cervantes who are trying to convince people they are the “appointed liquidators”.

Cervantes cold calls consumers who have a Reclaim Certificate in their possession and offer them to claim on their behalf the money due, as this is set aside due to the liquidation.

In order to do this claim Cervantes needs to see copies of the paperwork and bank details of the consumer. Cervantes assures the consumer there are no fees to be paid, as this is all covered by the government.

After the initial phone call, Cervantes sends several documents through by email, and forms that need to be submitted back by email or fax. Post will not be accepted and returned unopened. One wonders why that is…

Please note that there is no such company as Cervantes registered at the Spanish Companies House, they are not the appointed liquidators and they are not based on the address as mentioned in their paperwork.

After the initial call and submission of the paperwork, they will require payments for Tax ID numbers, outstanding VAT taxes, etc.

This company Cervantes is NOT recommendable and please be cautious when receiving a call from them.
