Cold caller warning for Viajes Directo from Madrid!

VDA warning goes out for a company called Viajes Directo SA from Madrid who has recently started a cold caller campaign to Timeshare Owners.

The agents from Viajes Directo, Ms. Isabella Verhoeven & Alex Pearce, explain that they are a company in Madrid who is selling batches of timeshare weeks to large companies.

As a matter of fact they are about to sell over 50 weeks to a buyer and guess what? The week is in the same resort of the Timeshare owner she is calling, would he like to sell?

Research on Viajes Directo has shown the following;

Their contact details are only a Spanish mobile 34 602 537 962 and a Fax +34 911 811 41

The email address they use is viajesdirecto@consultant.com and they do not seem to have a website at all. Their supposed address in Madrid is Calle Julian Romea 24, 28003 Madrid

On the paperwork from Viajes Directo they actually display all kinds of Registration numbers such as Licencia Numero – S.A. 937521/ES   Registrado Mercantil-903-87-GOY-95  These numbers are fake and Do NOT exist!

On top of all this they also require an upfront payment from the Timeshare owner as a guarantee he won’t pull out of the sale. Of course he will get this refunded as soon as the sale has been completed.

We heard this all before and amazingly for such a “big” company as Viajes Directo who sells timeshare in batches, they are not familiar with the Timeshare Directive who strictly forbids any type of upfront payment for a timeshare resale.

We certainly do NOT recommend Viajes Directo SA.

If you have been contacted by Viajes Directo in Madrid and using the number +34 602537962 then please let us know.

Club La Costa offer clients a way out and normally if you are up to date with maintenance they will allow a relinquishment normally giving you 6 months to complete. Great if you are looking for a quick fix bad if you have points in the bank or holidays booked as they will ask you to forfeit these and lose out – your choice, points are very hard to sell though but unless you buy into a fractional with a low contract end date then be in it for the long haul. I’ve recently recived a live oportunity from Viajes Directo, with I past, changing numbers and names to XX:

    1. The vendor divulges the order by signature to the above named agent to sell the CLC Vacation Membership – XX Marina del Sol – Transferable – Wk XX – Expiring XX Contract XX with all included rights and obligations for a total sum of €XX.- XX thousand euro.
    2. The above named agent will carry out by order, all the formalities necessary to complete the change of ownership papers (‘certificado de titularidad’) upon completion of sale.
    3. When in receipt of the signed contract of transmission, the above named agent is permitted to provide the appointed notary with all relevant information for the sales contract within two working days.
    4. The right of 14 days ‘cool off period” upheld by European and International Commissions is enforced to the contract of sale applicable to both parties.
    5. Prior to signatures of the vendor and agent being permitted a valid receipt for the above mentioned price and the below mentioned contract deposit is to be provided by the purchaser & proofed by the appointed notary.
    6. Upon receiving the contract of sale and the bank receipt for the above mentioned price of €XX.- the vendor is obligated to transfer a contracts deposit to the sum of €XX.- (8%) – XX euro to the
trustee account assigned by the notary, the vendor has two working days to complete this action as well do sign and return the contract of sale accompanied by a valid receipt as proof of payment.
    7. A breach of contract stipulations or voluntary cancellation by either party will result in an immediate termination of contract. The guilty party will have deductions made to their contract deposit according to the time and work done until that point. The innocent party will receive a full refund immediately without deduction.

    My questions:
    1) how they know my clc contract details?
    2) I’m intrested in selling my share – what should I do?
