Gold Crown Services another cold calling claims Company from Tenerife

gc

Lately we have seen a lot of new companies appearing in the Canary islands, and one of them is the recently created Gold Crown Services.

The company Gold Crown Services was registered at the in May 2014  at the Spanish Companies House.

They don’t seem to have a website (yet) but they do have an email address info@goldcrownservices.com

The registered address is Calle Irlandra 107, Blq A Puerta 107 (Ed Colina Blanca) No.4, San Eugenio Alto , Santa Cruz de Tenerife 38660

Telephone number used is a UK number 0845 862 2572

The story with Gold Crown Services is that they present themselves as a Claims Company. A claims company who cold calls Timeshare and Holiday Club members and offers them with assistance with a Consumer Act claim.

Once they make the first contact they send all kind of paperwork to the consumer in order to sign these and start claiming.

In the paperwork though, it becomes soon very clear that Gold Crown Services expects the consumer to pay several hundreds of pounds in order to initiate the claim.

It is not only the cold call and the upfront fee that creates the worry, but also the fact that they are offering claims to people who actually purchased over a decade ago. As far as we understand the Consumer Act is for those payments made less than 6 years ago, counting from the day of the financial transaction and by credit card.

As this company is very recent, we suppose that it is almost impossible to have “successful” claims as yet. But if you have any feedback on the company then please feel free to share this with us.

For the moment we would recommend caution when dealing with Gold Crown Services (Tlf 08458622572).

I have been cold called by GoldCrown Services offering their services to relinquish my contract with diamond resorts on a no win no fee basis…….any feedback on this? Anyone else had any involvement or advice to offer?

    • keith says:

same with us – when they think you are on the hook they will ask for monies

    • Dave says:

Be cautious even a no upfront approach could be a marketing hook to get your details and bombard you with other offers and other associated companies calling. Unless you instigate the initial contact I would be careful. My family have been hit by all companies including CLA-Marketing, Gold Crown, Resort Exchange Consultants etc. i am yet to be convinced by any of them.

    • Peter says:

The director of Gold Crown Services is an ex. presenter for 20/20 Travel Consultants who took me for *k. I am still chasing the repayment of this through the Europian Consumers Centre.
I am also trying under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, through my bank, who are resisting any repayment. If this fails I am going to take this through the ombudsman.

There appears to be a web of people around Tenerife who appear to set up companies on a whim, wholey to carry out s***s. These all appear to have some connection to Gold crown resorts in some manner direct or indirect, or have Gold Crown within the company title.

It would be good if the Authorities were able to act on these before they ruin the reputation of Tenerife.

  2. Dave says:

Are these part of the Resort Exchange Consultants as they have been hounding my family for 1700 gbp for ages after they took them for 900 gbp. I am trying to get their money back however; they used a third party ICE LEISURE on the contract that were to take the payment however on the statement it shows CASTLE LEISURE so I have to prove the link which causes delays but not impossible. THERE ARE NO BUYERS WAITING WITH MONEY IN THEIR POCKET AND NO ONE SHOULD PAY A RESALES COMPANY UP FRONT END OF.

  3. keith says:

Gold Crown Services have been in touch with us, cold calling on several occasions, at least one time stating they operate from Coventry area of England. asking to help with the resale of our timeshare or points system

  4. Helen says:

I had a call from Gold Crown Services last week. Once I had said that we received some money back and had joined Premier Travel/Clib Class over 13 years ago they weren’t interested.

  5. Stephanie says:

Has anyone had any correspondence yet from Price Waterhouse Cooper on the liquidation of Reclaim Ltd? I last heard from them at the end of May but they were still trying to contact the Directors to find out their position.
