Recently we published an article on this blog about a dubious Timeshare resale company in Madrid called Viajes Directo. As it seems now, this company is now using the name of Direct Travel which is basically the English translation of Viajes Directo.

Name changes of dubious companies always seem to coincide with the dates on which we publish warning blogs…

Direct Travel has the same “modus Operandi” and continues to cold call Timeshare Owners throughout Europe and offers them a guaranteed resale of their Holiday Membership.

Although displaying the letter S.A. behind their company name, there is certainly no registration at the Spanish Companies House of Direct Travel. Neither are any of the registration numbers displayed on their paperwork such as “Licencia Numero – S.A. 937521/ ES or “Registrado Mercantil – 903-87-GOY-95” real registrations.

As with their “Spanish” branch Viajes Directo, Direct Travel also requires an 8% upfront fee calculated over the sales price. An upfront payment which is illegal as per the Timeshare Directive.

We certainly do not recommend having any dealings with Direct Travel from 0034 634101963 in Madrid.
