We have received inquiries about a company called Privilege Destinations or Privilege Vacations.
This company cold calls timeshare owners and gives them the story about them being used by RCI and other holiday companies to reallocate/sell spare/floating weeks accommodation in a variety of resorts.
They offer availability in resorts worldwide and seem to have better possibilities to book than with the resorts or exchange organisations directly.
Clients, who have asked for specific resorts, were given the availability for a reduced price, such as £250 for a 2 week booking.
The booking needs to be paid straight away and this has to be done through Pay Pal.
Unfortunately after paying for the week in the resort, when checking directly with the resort, the timeshare owner has found out that they don’t even know this company Privilege Destinations or Privilege Vacations and certainly do they not have any booking confirmed for the client.
Contact details we have for Privilege Destinations are the following:
Telephone: 0800 0148 119 and email: privilege-vacations@outlook.com
There does not seem to be any website.
Please be very careful when you are called by Privilege Destinations or Privilege Vacations with phone number 08000148119 and offered a discounted booking into an RCI resort.
Always go by the rule that if it sounds too good to be true, it most probably is!
BEWARE Also caught in October 2015 and again I own at a Silverpoint Resort. Again Steven was the caller and I only paid after several call backs. I thought I had made all the necessary checks. They are now using the name Resort Reallocations. They are ignoring my emails and the telephone number given 02036089944 goes to answer phone and messages are not returned. Named person I have is Kimberley James, Head of Reallocations Booking Department, although this is probably false or non existent.
I have passed details to Trading Standards for information.
Been caught myself I think. Paid via paypal. No holiday forthcoming. The telephone call was made by a Steven ? and silverpoint was mentioned. Of course we own at a silver point managed timeshare. Sally Hume was our email contact, funny she does not respond to emails now. Any body know of any way for redress?
