A new so called Mediation or Claims company has been brought to our attention, with the name of AC Mediation.
AC seems to stand for Alan Clark.
This company claims to be based in Marbella on the Costa del Sol, and they quote the following address: Avenida Severo Ochoa 78, Marbella 29603, Malaga Spain
Their telephone number is 0034 951 250 883 and email address: acmediationclaims@gmail.com
AC mediation cold calls Timeshare consumers and offer them to liaise on their behalf in the court to obtain part of the money which is awarded to the victims of certain fraudulent companies.
This can be done through a settlement, and as the money is waiting to be transferred, it is just a question of posting the correct paperwork.
This will be done by a notary, and you might have guessed already, this notary needs to be paid upfront! £995 needs to be transferred by bank into the account of an individual.
Research has shown that there is no such company as AC Mediation or Alan Clark Mediation on the above mentioned address or registered in the Spanish Companies House.
Neither does the paperwork send off by AC Mediation to the consumer show any company ID / Registration etc.
We would not recommend this company and insist to be cautious when called by AC Mediation or similar companies that ask for fees upfront.
If you have been contacted by Alan Clark Mediation from +34 951250883 in Marbella, then please let us know.
You can email to customercare@mindtimeshare.com or place a comment on this blog.
30 July 2014. Received a call from an Anita Broom representing Alan Clark Mediation Services.
The story goes:- The Spanish Authorities closed down 23 companies in the Holiday Rentals etc type mode and the assets are held by the authorities. There had been a considerable amount of issues, claims, etc. so a number of the Directors did a deal with the authorities to release the funds in exchange for a lesser sentence.
The authorities are waiting for the claims against these funds but, you guessed it, this paperwork must be handled by a Barrister. Raymond Francis, R.F. Sharp is the named barrister who wants direct payment of £786.50. AC Mediation then get a 10% fee for doing the rest of the work after the amount is received.
The temptation is between 65% & 85% of the ‘amount owed’. They calculate the amount owed as being the original amount paid plus the sales price of the commodity (holiday opportunity). Thus my temptation was between £13k and £16k, for a mear payment of £786.50.
No R.F. Sharp can not be traced on the Bar Association (should be an area of Spain), his Bar Association number has not been provided. A ringer or what?
The money would have been nice but so are dreams!
It is thanks to Mindtimeshare that these connartists can be quickly sussed out. Thanks yet again.
Dave
