Grupo BT Travel another cold calling Timeshare Resale Company in Madrid

Madrid seems to be the place to be lately as we have yet another cold caller, by the name of Grupo BT Travel.

Grupo BT Travel seems to target Russian Timeshare Owners and as all the other cold callers they seem to have people lined up willing to buy and pay a lot of money for a membership.

Grupo BT Travel supplies a sample agreement after the initial call, and it becomes soon very clear that they unfortunately have no knowledge of the Timeshare Directive as they are asking for an upfront payment.

The payment is an 8% over the sales price, and as this sales price is rather high, this 8% is close to 3000 euros.

On top of this, they give the Timeshare owner 48 hours to do the bank transfer of the 8% or the sale will not go through..

We certainly do not recommend paying this money!

There is also a website on the paperwork www.grupobttravel.com which seems to belong to a travel agent based in Isla Margarita (Venezuela). Nothing to do with a Timeshare resale company in Madrid!

Seen the above facts, the cold call and the upfront fee, we do not recommend to have any dealings with this company.
