Club Almeria Vacations, a cold calling resale with upfront fee

CAV

Club Almeria Vacations reunites all the signs of a company that should certainly be treated with caution.

This company approaches Timeshare owners on a cold call and offers guaranteed and quick resales of their timeshare.

In order to get this resale going and completed they do need a “fully refundable insurance retainer” though.

Yes, that is right, they are asking for an upfront fee which we seriously doubt will ever be refunded or any sale will take place.

Research has shown that there is a website from a company by the name of Club Almeria Vacations http://www.clubalmeriavacations.com/ which was registered on the 30th of August 2014.

Address details on the web are: Club Almeria Vacations, Paseo De Almeria 33, Almeria 04001, España

Telephone: 0034 950 930 066 and Email: info@clubalmeriavacations.com

The text on the website wants to make the consumer believe they are part of a large “consumer co-operative”. Saying they operate alongside over 400 high street travel agencies, a business travel operation, call centres, a specialist cruise operation and in excess of 600 travel homeworkers… and all that with a website which was registered 2 weeks ago and nobody ever heard from them before..

Not to mention the fact they are not aware of the current timeshare legislation who strictly forbids upfront payments.

We would not recommend Club Almeria Vacations and would say to be very careful when dealing with this company.

If you have been offered a quick and guaranteed resale through Club Almeria Vacations then please let us know.

Club Almeria are fraudulent on a grand scale. Once they can sell you the feasible story of a refundable payment of a “modest” amount, they ramp up the scam, their requests quickly move from hundreds of pounds to thousands. I faced over six different participants in the scheme, each with their own role to play so that things move smoothly. ALL payments are required via a Bank Draft! Moreover, , Brook and Co followed up the initial scam promising to recover earlier payments. This “new” firm have precise knowledge of the several payments already scammed and for a small “modest” fee (which is refundable?) they will act on behalf of the victim. This is exactly how Club Almeria started their scam!

I ended up by GIVING back my holding of 15,500 points to Diamond Resorts, which represented an investment of £13,000!. Attempts to sell on these points had turned me into a vulnerable victim!

Do not touch Club Almeria with a barge pole!! They got over £3k out of me as they were so believable and they never sold my timeshare, and they didn’t give me my money back. I have reported them to Actionfraud.gov who are now pursuing them and their criminal activities.
