Chesterton Consultants, cold calls, guaranteed sales & the upfront fee…

careful

A new company seems to be active lately with the name of Chesterton Consultants.

This company, who claims to be based in the UK at Epilson Terrace, West Road Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9FJ is cold calling mainly owners of Discount Holiday Membership Clubs such as Full Circle.

The agent from Chesterton Consultants assures they have buyers lined up who are keen to buy such membership, which on itself is already a surprising and hard to believe statement.

But Chesterton Consultants has more to explain as well, because not only is there a buyer waiting and willing to pay a 30% deposit, they also need from the owner a deposit of around £2000

This deposit can be paid by credit card, and is charged through a third party payment provider. Another point that needs to be looked at with caution as this can complicate issues with the bank when you need to claim a refund.

But of course, as far as Chesterton concerns there is no need to worry as the deposit will be fully refundable upon completion of the sale!

In the agreement they send through to the consumer by email from chestertonconsultants@gmail.com , there is no mention though about what would happen with this payment if the sale fails to complete…

They do mention that in case this happens the consumer will have “10 months of continues marketing”.

In these 10 months of continues marketing they will also receive a second offer for a sale, and guess what….if the consumer refuses the “second offer” then Chesterton Consultants have no more obligation to offer a sale and will continue the marketing without any guarantee.

Does this sound familiar? Yes it does, because many of these so called resale companies we have seen before were doing the same thing, and what we know is that the second offer always came with another payment request…

Taking into account that this company is cold calling, knows all membership details of the consumer and asks for an upfront fee which is against the law, we certainly do not recommend having any dealings with them.

If you have been approached by Chesterton Consultants from 01473 851 399 then please do let us know.
