A brand new company has been brought to our attention by the name of Sun Travel international.
Sun Travel International cold calls consumers of Timeshare but also members of dubious Discount Travel Membership clubs and assures them the membership can be sold straight away.
Sun Travel International appears on their website http://www.suntravel-int.com/ as a resale company not only for Holiday products but also yachts and luxury cars.
Their contact details are a virtual address in the UK: Kemp House, 152 -160 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX
Telephone: 0845 257 0505 and Email: enquiries@suntravel-int.com
They do mention though on the website that Sun Travel International is a trading name of Marius Marketing LP, registered address: Flat 1F2, 89 Albert Street, Edinburgh, EH7 5LY
But a cold call is not really a good sign, and adding this up to the fact that they assure and guarantee the resale of certain memberships of which we know for a fact there is no market, doesn’t inspire a lot of trust. And worse of all, those who actually want to sell through this company are quickly asked for an upfront payment of around a £1000 to process this sale.
Seen the above we do not really recommend this company and we certainly do not recommend paying any money upfront for a resale, as this is against the law.

Confirm my email of today saying had been called today by a Charles Dean of Sun travel saying 2 teachers from Tonbridge (Kent) wished to purchase for £9,000. my membership in Full Circle Holidays (which had now been taken over by a new company). They had already paid a deposit of £3,000. to Sun Travel. If I agreed a courier – possibly from DHL – would come around to pick up my documents and I would need to pay an insurance fee of £995. via a hand held card machine, entering my PIN number of course! I told him that this was about the fourth cold call I had received over the years and did not want to pay any money ‘upfront’
I did suggest that I could get to their offices in City Road within an hour but he said that they did not work that way!!!
He will call back on 14th December. our wibsite has confirmed my suspicions. I know my answer.
THANK YOU.
Just been called by Sun Travel International informing me they had a buyer for my Full Circle Holiday membership. They stated that 2 School teachers from Uttoxeter had offered £9000 for my club membership. They wanted £995,as a fully refundable guarantee. As soon as they mentioned me paying them this money I immediately thought this is a sc**,& told them to forget it .They were very persistent, but I told them I was not getting involved in their sc** Keep well Clear of this company.
Reblogged this on Mindtimeshare and commented:
Still active!
Cold callers, gauranteed resales with upfront fees!
They have changed their address and telephone number which now seems to be a Spanish one: 03452570505
If you do receive a call from them, let us know.
Stay alert, Bernard Gavin is still making cold calls for Sun Travel International. Not that great on his record-keeping though. He phoned us today as new prospects, was surprised when I told him that he had called us a month ago and we had talked at length before I said “no” (see blog entry 2nd September). He smoothly said that he would check his records and phone back 2 minutes later … hasn’t happened … not holding my breath and waiting.
My mother has just had a similar experience to Rowan in your earlier postings
Just had a cold call from Bernard Gavin of Sun Travel International, offering to sell our Full Circle Holidays membership for £9000 to 2 teachers, who have already lodged a deposit of £3150. We have had no dealings with Full Circle since 2008 and believe it was disposed of long ago when ownership was surrendered. Full Circle has apparently been bought by LA Premier and converted into points. Eventually he said that the process required me to pay £995 TODAY by credit card as a “fully refundable insurance guarantee”. When I queried the upfront fee, he kept on dangling the promise of £9000. This didn’t work and at the end of the call, as a nasty sign-off, he said we would have to pay £1200 p.a.maintenance fees from the end of the year. Sun Travel address is as detailed on a Mindtimeshare January alert. Phone number given as 0345 2570505 but withheld on the call.
David Croft contacted my mother in law, who was told her timeshare was worth £10 000 and that she needed to pay an upfront fee of £1600. This was many months ago and we have never seen any money from the supposed sale. In chasing up last week, my wife was told that the company had gone into liquidation and that this new company (name not given) were going to recover the money for her. Scam within a scam, I believe. We are having an impossible job persuading mother in law that none of this is legitimate.
… following on from my post below. Well, Mr David Croft called me today and explained himself to me. During the call he stated that value of the timeshare at waaaaay above current market rates – literally 3 times what it’s worth but he needed more money to “release” some documents. When I questioned this he became very defensive asking me “what I knew about the industry?” and “what did I do for a living?” . When I answered that I was a Company Secretary for a Legal Services provider her became very aggressive and ended the call with (and I quote) “I’ll tell you what, go f**k yourself you w**ker – Now, I’m no expert but I don’t think that this is a legit company. Just my opinion.
This company have been putting a lot of pressure on my Mother In Law who became suspicious and asked me to look at them. Having done some research on the web I became worried so told her that I would deal with it and I am not that impressed! Today I called a Mr David Croft on 0203 642 4850. The lady that answered the phone didn’t even answer with a “Company Name” it was just sort of “Hello you’re speaking to….” Hmmm… When I pushed her she said the name of the company was “Principle” so it looks as though Sun Travel International may now be passing business over or have changed names. Sun Travel International.. or STI (isn’t an STI a disease where someone has *******ed you?) “David” wasn’t there so is due to call me back. I will continue this thread when he calls….
I have recently been contacted by Lucy Thomas of STI offering to transfer my DWVC membership to a new owner who is willing to pay £15000. I need to pay £1600 as insurance. I now have an email confirming the details but saying the offer price is £5250 but still asking for £1600. They give a phone number as that shown in your blurb but when I rang the number it went straight to a mobile voice mail but unable to leave message as mailbox apparently ‘full’. Lucy is ringing me back tomorrow having offered to put the £1600 on her own card after I refused to part with any money. It will be an interesting phone call!!
Just been called by a Mary Chaplin ….Sun Travel International… offering £10,500 for my Club Class membership. Only had to pay £1650 upfront for ” insurance” , refundable after transaction completed. Very suspicious about whole deal so put her off to verify .
Glad I did after reading this information.
