Have you been contacted by Sky Travel from Madrid for a Timeshare Resale?

A timeshare resale company by the name of Sky Travel and claiming to be based in Madrid, is cold calling timeshare owners. It looks like they are targeting mainly Polish Timeshare owners, although we don’t exclude they might be going for other nationalities as well.

Sky Travel calls the timeshare owner with a very juicy offer, over 60.000€ for their timeshare and even better, there is already a buyer waiting.

This buyer has left a deposit in an Escrow account, as per the agent of Sky travel, so nothing can go wrong.

In order to make sure though that the Timeshare owner will also go ahead and not back out of the sale, he needs to pay a Guarantee Fee of €3000

But not to worry, these €3000 will be returned together with the 60.000€ once everything has been processed.

Did we hear this before? Yes we have. And most of the timeshare owners luckily are more than aware that the current European legislation strictly forbids any upfront payment with a timeshare resale.

Apparantly there is no website as the one mentioned on the paperwork (www.skytravel.com.ec ) does not seem to have anything to do with Timeshare or Spain.

We have not found any company by the name of Sky travel registered at the Spanish Companies House.

Needless to say that we do not recommend this company by the name of Sky Travel.

i have been contacted today by sky travel offering me 3 week holiday for £99 a week.because I am with rci.but said I had to pay now to book a week.i told them I wont pay anything until I got confirmation that it was booked, they said no I had to pay first so I said no although it was a tempting offer.has any one else had this call.
