There are still companies who think that a cold call and asking for an upfront fee is a believable story for many timeshare owners.
Midsurrey Sales & Management certainly believes this, as they have started their cold call campaign recently. They claim to have buyers lined up for the long expected resale of the timeshare and without hesitation they requests from the timeshare owner an upfront deposit.
The money they request is not called “deposit” but “refundable marketing fee”. Why would you call it that, if the fee is actually to process a sale they claim to have lined up with buyers from a far away country who already paid a 35% as a deposit?
This “refundable retainer” is for £995, which seems a small amount compared to the sales price of close to £15000 they promise for a membership of a discount club.
Midsurrey Sales & Management states the sale will take between 4 to 6 weeks to clear the funds.
As this sounds far too good to be true, we have done some research and actually found a complete lack of information on this company.

Seen the above, the cold call, the lack of company information and the illegal request for an upfront payment to process a timeshare resale, we would certainly not recommend this company.
