Sometimes it seems that companies do not really know how to define themselves or the services they offer. A company like that could be Wilson Gowers, a cold caller that has been detected recently.

On the initial cold call, the agent from Wilson Gowers tells the timeshare consumer that they have a buyer very interested in their timeshare. A timeshare membership about which they seem to have all the details already.

But in the follow up email sent from admin@wilsongowers.com a total different company profile is explained to the timeshare owner. Quote from the email:”… we are not a resale company; we in-fact represent clients looking to relinquish their Timeshare, act as an escrow service for Timeshare Rentals and facilitate claims against bad sales practices.

This is really a one off situation as we have a client that happens to be a lover of Spain…”

So, say again? You have a buyer who loves Spain but you don’t do resale, you do relinquish and claims.

In the follow up email they send a link to a form which needs to be filled in by the timeshare owner, and again it Isa all about selling. In one of the clauses they mention a 10% commission over the gross sales Price.

This needs to be paid in 2 parts, the initial one being a £350 payment for administration, directly when the seller confirms the money has been “wired” to the owners’ account (wired NOT RECEIVED) and the rest payment in 14 days maximum after receiving the money.

Why would you need top ay in 2 parts if all depends on the “wired” money anyway?

We have also found indications that Wilson Gowers is connected to other dubious cold callers previously mentioned by us.

Seen the above information, we would not recommend this company and certainly say to be very cautious when speaking to them.
